The rapid advancement of photorealistic generators has reached a critical juncture where the discrepancy between authentic and manipulated images is increasingly indistinguishable. Thus, benchmarking and advancing techniques detecting digital manipulation become an urgent issue. Although there have been a number of publicly available face forgery datasets, the forgery faces are mostly generated using GAN-based synthesis technology, which does not involve the most recent technologies like diffusion. The diversity and quality of images generated by diffusion models have been significantly improved and thus a much more challenging face forgery dataset shall be used to evaluate SOTA forgery detection literature. In this paper, we propose a large-scale, diverse, and fine-grained high-fidelity dataset, namely GenFace, to facilitate the advancement of deepfake detection, which contains a large number of forgery faces generated by advanced generators such as the diffusion-based model and more detailed labels about the manipulation approaches and adopted generators. In addition to evaluating SOTA approaches on our benchmark, we design an innovative Cross Appearance-Edge Learning (CAEL) detector to capture multi-grained appearance and edge global representations, and detect discriminative and general forgery traces. Moreover, we devise an Appearance-Edge Cross-Attention (AECA) module to explore the various integrations across two domains. Extensive experiment results and visualizations show that our detection model outperforms the state of the arts on different settings like cross-generator, cross-forgery, and cross-dataset evaluations. A planar, small size, high gain, low specific absorption rate (SAR) and circularly-polarized (CP) wearable antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna is fabricated on a substrate with a dielectric constant of 3.5 with a thickness of 0.5 mm and sized at 42×42 mm only. Both the simulation results show that the overlap bandwidth of impedance and axial ratio of the proposed antenna is 13.7% (5.15-5.91 GHz). To isolate the antenna against the influence of the human body, a artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) plane is added on the reverse side of the radiator. The AMC structure effectively isolates the human body from the radiation of the antenna and reduces the specific absorption rate (SAR) of it by more than 96.1% at 5.5 GHz, which improves the antenna gain and the peak gain reaches 5.09 dBi at 5.5 GHz. The wearable performance of the antenna was analyzed, and it is observed that it can sustain good performance even under human body loading. Beside, the antenna has a small size, which makes it ideal for wearable applications. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Garbage classification is an essential work in daily life. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), we have begun to use object detection to achieve garbage classification. However, the stacking and occlusion of garbage often make the detection performance unsatisfactory. In this paper, YOLOv5 algorithm is used for garbage detection and classification. YOLOv5 has three detection heads, which can detect objects at multiple scales. At the same time, Mosaic and Coarse Dropout image augmentation techniques are used to process our private data set of garbage, which improves the diversity of images. In this way, the target classification accuracy of the detection model can reach 75.7%, which is significantly improved compared with 69.9% without data augmentation. This paper provides a new technical support for the scene classification of stacked garbage based on deep learning.

DSPE: An End-to-End Drug Synergy Combination Prediction Algorithm for Echinococcosis

Background: Echinococcosis, a parasitic disease caused by the larvae of the Echinococcus parasite, poses a serious threat to human health. Medication is an indispensable means of treatment for Echinococcosis;however, due to the less satisfactory efficacy of single drugs, identifying effective drug combinations for the treatment of Echinococcosis is essential. Yet, current predictive models for drug synergy in Echinococcosis face accuracy challenges due to data scarcity, method limitations, and insufficient feature representation. Objective: This work aims to design an end-to-end method to predict drug synergistic combinations, which enables efficient and accurate identification of drug combinations against Echinococcosis. Methods: In this work, an end-to-end method, named DSPE, is proposed for predicting anti-Echinococcosis drug synergistic combinations. In DSPE, a dataset of Echinococcosis drug synergistic combinations is constructed by retrieving and extracting information from related scientific articles. Further, DSPE employs a residual graph attention network to deeply analyze drug characteristics and their interactions, thereby enhancing the performance of deep learning models. It also explores the protein-protein interaction network related to Echinococcosis, using node2vec combined with an attention mechanism to efficiently encode disease features. Finally, it predicts the synergy of drug combinations based on the Bliss score by integrating drug combinations and disease features. Results: Experimental evidence shows that DSPE outperforms five state-of-the-art algorithms in predicting drug combination effects by leveraging disease-target information and single-agents for the treatment. Conclusion: DSPE improves prediction accuracy and addresses the issue of data scarcity for new diseases, offering new insights and methods for the development of treatment plans for parasitic diseases in the future. © 2025 Bentham Science Publishers.

As continuous-flow microfluidic biochips technology rapidly advances, its automated synthesis methods require adapting to increasingly complex and stringent biochemical applications. In particular, with the introduction of time-sensitive bioassays, in this work, we present a timing-driven high-level synthesis method to optimize the resource efficiency of bioassays considering the time constraints. Specifically, we investigate the existing forms of time constraints and propose a corresponding flexible modeling approach based on reaction-control which can achieve downward compatibility for physical design. Additionally, we also analyze the impact of storage and wash on time constraints. The experimental results show that our method achieves efficient execution and low devices cost while satisfying time constraints.

In this paper, based on the rectangular iterative technique, we propose an omnidirectional UWB fractal antenna by using microstrip line as feed. The antenna takes regular octagonal shape as patch element. Meanwhile, the iterative fractal and notch technique has been adopted to optimize the UWB antenna performance. After multiple iterations of the configured octagonal patch element, the optimized UWB performance can be obtained. The simulation results reveal that the operating bandwidth of the antenna meets Federal Communications Commission (FCC) broadband standard. Moreover, in order to avoid the electromagnetic interference in the X-band identified by the IEEE 521-2002 standard, we further adopt notch techniques and add the U-shaped gap to the microstrip line to achieve electromagnetic shielding. The impedance matching has been achieved for the antenna by imposing the slot on the ground. After optimizing the slot structure, the reflection of the antenna has reduced in the whole operating frequency band. The overall size of the ultra-wideband fractal antenna was designed to $25 \times 35 mm^{2}$ and was composed of FR-4 material with the relative dielectric constant $\varepsilon_{r} = 4.4$ and loss tangent angle $\tan \theta = 0.02$. After optimization, the antenna has good impedance matching and meets the UWB antenna omnidirectional standard. In 3.1–15.4GHz (excluding X-band), and the reflection coefficient S 11 is lower than -10 dB, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is less than 2, maximum gain reaches 6dB. The results indicated that our proposed fractal antenna is promising for UWB antenna applications.

A novel broadband millimeter-wave(mm-Wave) vertically-integrated Vivaldi antenna with stable gain and good radiation patterns is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna element consists of five substrates. There are two symmetrical metal radiation strips on the top of each substrate. The two adjacent stripes are connected through the metallized via. A coupling-slot on the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) is employed as the feeding structure to these strips. Simulations show that the antenna can have a wider impedance bandwidth of 28%, and a higher gain of 8 dBi. In addition, based on this antenna element, a 2×2 circularly polarized(CP) antenna array is designed to demonstrate that the proposed antenna is a promising candidate for the mm-Wave CP applications. The 2×2 array exhibits an impedance bandwidth of 16.8% and axial ratio(AR) bandwidth of 16.6% with the good right-hand CP radiation patterns.

Mining latent structures for multimedia recommendation

Multimedia content is of predominance in the modern Web era. Investigating how users interact with multimodal items is a continuing concern within the rapid development of recommender systems. The majority of previous work focuses on modeling user-item interactions with multimodal features included as side information. However, this scheme is not well-designed for multimedia recommendation. Specifically, only collaborative item-item relationships are implicitly modeled through high-order item-user-item relations. Considering that items are associated with rich contents in multiple modalities, we argue that the latent semantic item-item structures underlying these multimodal contents could be beneficial for learning better item representations and further boosting recommendation. To this end, we propose a LATent sTructure mining method for multImodal reCommEndation, which we term LATTICE for brevity. To be specific, in the proposed LATTICE model, we devise a novel modality-aware structure learning layer, which learns item-item structures for each modality and aggregates multiple modalities to obtain latent item graphs. Based on the learned latent graphs, we perform graph convolutions to explicitly inject high-order item affinities into item representations. These enriched item representations can then be plugged into existing collaborative filtering methods to make more accurate recommendations. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate the superiority of our method over state-of-the-art multimedia recommendation methods and validate the efficacy of mining latent item-item relationships from multimodal features.
