China has set the goal of controlling the total energy consumption to 6 billion tonnes of standard coal by 2030 in an attempt to avoid an energy crisis. Generally, freight transportation is an energy-intensive industry. Controlling the energy consumption of freight transportation is crucial for achieving energy-saving goals in China. In this study, we establish the annual control model for freight transportation structure adjustment from the perspectives of the target year prediction and the intermediate year controlling to control energy consumption in the freight industry. We solve the model and obtain the annual control plan of freight transportation structure adjustment in China (2021-2030). As per the plan, energy consumption will reach its peak in 2029, with 145 million tonnes of standard coal. Lastly, we proposed a series of reasonable policy recommendations. This study will provide a reference for the sustainable development of transportation in China. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Because of the superiority of crowdsourcing, many companies are eager to seek the solutions for some issues through crowdsourcing, e.g., assembling crowd wisdom crystallization for a wonderful design, collecting personal-privacy information or geographical location information, etc. Location services are becoming more and more important to the lives and lifestyles of modern people, so the Internet companies and traditional enterprises placed great emphasis on this theme. We can obtain valuable information from the large-scale datasets, but in certain circumstances, a large amount of data will be a burden for us to analyze problems. On account of redundant data that carries little weight with us, in this paper, we mainly consider trajectory data extraction of timeline-based location information and route fitting in the field of military (e.g., GIS) and civilian (e.g., traffic). For the purpose, we refer to the idea of Vector Quantization, denoted as VQ, and give a model of TDERTM (Timeline-based data Extraction and Route Fitting Model) to solve that. In this sense, it is efficient and convenient to determine whether the target (ship, aircraft, etc.) cross the border and draw a navigation trajectory with low redundancy. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the continuous expansion of the application field of multi-mode synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system, which can satisfy different imaging demands. In order to get SAR image, it is necessary to image the echo received by multi-mode SAR system. However, the huge computation of the imaging algorithm affects the processing efficiency of SAR system. The power of Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) can suffice the increasing demands in processing, which has been used in many common areas. The acceleration effect of GPU is very obvious compared with Central Processing Unit (CPU) platform. This paper proposed a Chirp Scaling acceleration algorithm based on GPU for multi-mode SAR, and comparison of computational time over traditional CPU and GPU platform. The experimental results shows that the GPU accelerated SAR imaging algorithm can achieve a good acceleration effect. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Systems can be used for discovery and surveillance. According to the current requirements, accurate ship detection is becoming more and more important. However, the accuracy of traditional ship detection algorithm is not satisfying in complex scene. As a consequence, this paper proposes a novel method for detecting ships within SAR imagery using Gabor feature and Two Parameter Constant False Alarm Rate (2P-CFAR) detection technique. First, feature extraction was performed by using Gabor filter. Then, combined with the extracted orientation feature, the ship recognition of SAR image is obtained by 2P-CFAR detector. Finally, false alarms among the candidate targets were removed by geometric features of the ships. To prove the rationality of this method, experiments were carried with two high-resolution Gaofen-3 satellite SAR images in open sea background. The experimental results show that the presented method has preferable performance in the accuracy of ship identification. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.

可持续发展目标(SDGs)呼吁全世界共同采取行动,促进繁荣并保护地球.本研究面向SDGs构建了环境、粮食和经济等可持续发展情景,预测2020~2030年丝绸之路沿线国家的土地利用变化,并分析其对陆地碳库的影响。研究表明:未来土地利用变化及其对陆地碳库的影响在不同情景下存在显著差异。在可持续环境情景下,林地得到了有效保护,相较于2020年中国林地碳储量增加了约0.60%;在可持续粮食情景下,耕地流失得到了缓解,尤其在南亚及东南亚地区的耕地面积呈现上升趋势:在可持续经济情景下,城市扩张速度加快,引起的碳损失量最多这项研究有助于推进丝绸之路沿线甚至全球可持续发展进程,为探寻可持续发展路径提供了科学依据。

Aiming at the problem of the interfere of winter wheat on radar backscattering coefficient in surface soil moisture inversion, a new vegetation index called Fusion Vegetation Index (FVI) is defined in this study. Based on the Multi-Spectral Imager (MSI) data of Sentinel-2, and the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data of Sentinel-1, using FVI to retrieve water content of winter wheat, combined with Water Cloud model, the interference of winter wheat in soil moisture inversion was reduced. The results show that good soil moisture retrieval results can be obtained by combining with FVI. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.

At present, the research on crop disaster risk is mostly carried out from the perspective of numerical simulation in one factor aspect, and there is a lack of information system practice that can integrate disaster spatio-temporal analysis technologies such as environment characteristic information extraction, geographic data scale transformation, spatial analysis and map visualization. Based on agriculture big data and highlighting the spatial characteristics of crop disasters, in this study a method of crop disaster risk mapping is designed and a prototype system is implemented, which function is composed of agriculture big data cleaning, scale conversion, multi-source data fusion, feature information extraction, risk probability prediction and map visualization. A specific application of the system is also demonstrated by taking the production of thematic map of wind-induced lodging risk probability distribution during maize jointing and tasseling stage as an example, which shows great help for avoiding maize lodging risk in agriculture practice. The research results have a good role in improving the technical level of agriculture disaster mapping and analysis, and improving the efficiency and effect of disaster prevention and reduction in agriculture production. It has important academic significance for promoting the application of big data in agriculture disaster management and establishing a new perspective of crop disaster mapping, and has important practice application value for optimizing the fine zoning of crop planting area and strengthening the accurate management of agriculture disaster risk.

Phenophase period refers to the periodic natural phenomena of plants under the influence of environmental factors and human activities. In recent years, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has been used to growth monitoring of crops. Due to complex morphological changes at different growth stage of crops, single-phase SAR data unable provide sufficient information to analyze scattering characteristics at different phenological period. In this paper, the scattering characteristics of winter wheat are studied, using time series dual-polarization Sentinel-1A SAR images. And winter wheat planting region in Kaifeng city Henan Province is selected as the study area. Time series C-band radar backscatter coefficient is extracted, then analyze correlation between numerical evolution and phenological change with different polarization data. The variation trend is verified by field measured data. The results show that dual-polarization SAR image is great practical significance for winter wheat phenological monitoring. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.

News recommender system is an important method of helping readers identify interesting stories. Although human behaviors exhibit sequential patterns, most current studies on news recommendations ignore the influence of reading sequences. Leveraging sequential patterns in news recommendation is, however, very challenging, as the capture of reading behavior sequence at the individual level may be impossible due to severity of sparsity in the field of news. To address this challenge, we proposed a group-sequence-aware graph model (GSGM) to learn representative reading sequences of groups instead of individuals, where groups are viewed as latent variables and automatically learnt from users' reading behaviours. Besides, when readers select different groups, they are likely to have distinct reading preferences. This finding is used to learn group-dependent personal reading preferences in GSGM. A wide range of experiments are conducted to verify the efficiency and effectiveness of the GSGM on real datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that GSGM outperforms the state-of-the-art competing methods. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Grasping the planting information of seed maize is utterly important for strengthening the macro-control of the seed industry market and ensuring the safe production of conventional maize. At present, the traditional ground survey is the main method for surveying the planting distribution of seed maize, which is inefficient and expensive. And in the existing remote sensing classification methods of seed maize, most of them use texture information, and seldom use hyperspectral information. Here, we studied the "Zhuhai-1" satellite hyperspectral data to construct the spectral and spatial features of seed maize identification, and then used the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier to prepare the planting pattern map of seed maize, and finally an efficient and economical identification model for seed maize based on hyperspectral satellite images was proposed. The classification uses a multi-layer mask method to classify seed corn and conventional corn in the scene of corn planting distribution. The spectral feature extraction method of the classification model compares the two methods of Class Means Matrix Clustering Feature (CMMCF) and PCA-LDA (Principal Component Analysis -Linear Discriminant Analysis), and the extraction of spatial features uses Multiscale Extended Morphological Profile method (MEMP). Then, four feature combinations of PCA-LDA, CMMCF, PCA-LDA-MEMP and CMMCF-MEMP were constructed for classification. The classification results use overall accuracy (OA), mapping accuracy (PA), and user accuracy (UA) to evaluate the model accuracy;Fisher discriminant ratio (FR) evaluates feature separability. The results of the model show that the FR value of the texture feature in the model is higher than that of the spectral feature, and the texture feature plays an important role in the extraction of seed maize. CMMCF-MEMP-SVM model was the best, OA reached 94.10%, PA and UA extracted from seed maize were 91.28% and 92.43%, respectively. In addition, the CMMCF-MEMP
