A pattern reconfigurable dual-port multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system utilizing Characteristic mode theory is proposed at 2.45GHz. By using the selective incentives of four characteristic modes, six pairs of balanced inductive exciter (BIEs) and the antenna are integrated to realize the selective incentives of the four patterns. In the feeder network, by changing the state of the PIN diode, the two ports realize selective incentive to obtain four working states. The test results show that the pattern reconfiguration technique is reliable and can be used in other types of structures. © 2021 Applied computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

In this paper, a compact and high selectivity millimeter wave on-chip band-pass filter using GaAs pHEMT technology is proposed. A compact lumped element unit, which consists of a series LC resonator and an extra capacitor, is used to produce a transmission zero near the pass-band without occupying much area. The proposed filter consists two of the proposed resonators. An additional series resonator is grounded to produce a transmission zero. The area of the proposed filter is only 0.816×0.607mm2. The presented filter is worked on 25.5 GHz, the 3-dB bandwidth is 21.5 GHz to 29.5GHz. The insertion loss is around 1.1dB, and the return loss is better than 17dB. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper addresses distributed computation Sylvester equations of the form AX+XB=C with fractional order *** partitioning parameter matrices A,B and C,we transfer the problem of distributed solving Sylvester equations as two distributed optimization models and design two fractional order continuous-time algorithms,which have more design freedom and have potential to obtain better convergence performance than that of existing first order ***,rewriting distributed algorithms as corresponding frequency distributed models,we design Lyapunov functions and prove that proposed algorithms asymptotically converge to an exact or least squares ***,we validate the effectiveness of proposed algorithms by providing a numerical example.

We proposed a high isolation design between two broadband dual polarization transceiver antennas in this paper. It employs periodic metal isolation walls with equal spacing and height to strongly suppress the low-frequency band (LB) coupling. Covering the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the metal with flexible graphene high resistive metasurfaces that easily conform to the structure improves 40 dB in isolation between different polarizations at 6–18 GHz. This device has less impact on the radiation pattern of the antenna. This design not only enhances the isolation between different polarizations but also optimizes equipment heat dissipation and improves device performance.

A Tetrahedral Spectral Element Method for Thermo-Mechanical Analysis of Electronic Devices

For the coupled thermo-mechanical simulation of complex electronic devices, we propose a Tetrahedral Spectral Element Method (TSEM), which truly combines the high accuracy of spectral methods with the strong geometric adaptability of Finite Element Methods (FEMs). The TSEM employs a collapse transformation method and successfully converts the orthogonal Gauss-Lobatto-Legendre (GLL) basis functions from a hexahedron to a tetrahedral reference element. This ensures numerical accuracy and stability for arbitrary high-order interpolation. We also generate non-equidistant GLL spectral interpolation nodes for tetrahedral elements through Warp&Blend transformation, enabling direct nodal numerical integration calculation through Vandermonde matrices. This approach replaces the classical Gaussian quadrature in the FEM, not only significantly enhancing the computational efficiency of element matrix but also avoiding potential numerical dissipation and dispersion associated with Gaussian integration, thus achieving rapid convergence. In the TSEM thermo-mechanical coupling, we further construct a separate solver based on the implicit Newmark-β method, which realizes unconditional stability for temporal integration for arbitrary time step increment. Moreover, it supports independent inversion of system matrices for temperature and stress fields, without increasing computational resource consumption due to the coupling of multi-physics equations. By quantitatively comparing with the COMSOL Multiphysics software, several typical case studies are used to demonstrate the significant advantages of the TSEM in numerical accuracy, efficiency, and stability. © 2025 IEEE. This paper proposes a novel nonconformal meshbased dual-primal spectral element tearing and interconnecting (SETI-DP) method designed for the efficient transient simulation of complex large-scale heat conduction problems utilizing a domain decomposition method (DDM). This method allows for the division of complex, large-scale problems into smaller subdomain problems. By applying Robin-type transmission conditions at the subdomain interfaces, rapid convergence of the global interface iterative solution is achieved for arbitrary non-conformal subdomain problems. This non-conformal DDM approach supports independent meshing of subdomains, eliminating the need to generate a globally continuous mesh for large-scale problems, thereby significantly enhancing meshing efficiency. In addition, this non-conformal meshing strategy enables high-contrast spatial discretization and mixed-order spectral interpolation between different subdomains. This significantly increases meshing flexibility, minimizes the number of degrees of freedom (DoF) in multi-scale problems, and reduces computational costs. In addition, by developing a subdomain-coupled time iteration scheme, the global corner problem of residual transfer is explicitly given, which greatly improves the versatility and flexibility of the algorithm. Finally, to demonstrate the accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of our algorithm, we conduct benchmark tests on several representative examples. © 2011-2012 IEEE.

A Multi-Stage Expensive Constrained Multi-Objective Optimization Algorithm Based on Ensemble Infill Criterion

Surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms (SAEAs) rely on the infill criterion to select candidate solutions for expensive evaluations. However, in the context of expensive constrained multi-objective optimization problems (ECMOPs) with complex feasible regions, guiding the optimization algorithm towards the constrained Pareto optimal front and achieving a balance between feasibility, convergence, diversity, exploration, and exploitation using a single infill criterion pose significant challenges. We propose an ensemble infill criterion-based multi-stage SAEA (EIC-MSSAEA) to tackle these challenges. Specifically, EIC-MSSAEA comprises three stages. In the first stage, we ignore constraints to facilitate the rapid traversal of infeasible obstacles. In the second stage, only one constraint is activated at a time to increase algorithm diversity. Finally, in the last stage, we activate all constraints to improve overall feasibility. In each stage, EIC-MSSAEA first employs NSGA-III as the underlying baseline solver to explore the search space, in which promising solutions are then selected by an ensemble infill criterion that incorporates multiple base-infill criteria to measure the feasibility, convergence, diversity, and uncertainty of candidate solutions. Experimental results demonstrate the competitiveness of EIC-MSSAEA against state-of-the-art SAEAs for ECMOPs. IEEE

Social media is the platform for most people to share their opinions, emojis are also widely used to express moods, emotions, and feelings on social media. There have been many researched on emojis and sentiment analysis. However, existing methods mainly face two limitations. First, since deep learning relies on large amounts of labeled data, the training samples of emoji are not enough to achieve the training effect. Second, they consider the sentiment of emojis and texts separately, not fully exploring the impact of emojis on the sentiment polarity of texts. In this paper, we propose a joint learning sentiment analysis method incorporating emoji-augmentation, and the method has two advantages compared with the existing work. First, We optimize the easy data augmentation method so that the newly generated sentences can also preserve the semantic information of emojis, which relieves the problem of insufficient training data with emojis. Second, it fuses emojis and text features to allow the model to better learn the mutual emotional semantics between text and emojis, jointly training emojis and words to obtain the sentence representations containing more semantic information of both emojis and text. Our experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly improve the performance compared with several baselines on two datasets. © 2022 IEEE.

Balancing property optimization and constraint satisfaction for constrained multi-property molecular optimization

Molecular optimization, which aims to discover improved molecules from a vast chemical search space, is a critical step in chemical development. Various artificial intelligence technologies have demonstrated high effectiveness and efficiency on molecular optimization tasks. However, few of these technologies focus on balancing property optimization with constraint satisfaction, making it difficult to obtain high-quality molecules that not only possess desirable properties but also meet various constraints. To address this issue, we propose a constrained multi-property molecular optimization framework (CMOMO), which is a flexible and efficient method to simultaneously optimize multiple molecular properties while satisfying several druglike constraints. CMOMO improves multiple properties of molecules with constraints based on dynamic cooperative optimization, which dynamically handles the constraints across various scenarios. Besides, CMOMO evaluates multiple properties within discrete chemical spaces cooperatively with the evolution of molecules within an implicit molecular space to guide the evolutionary search. Experimental results show the superior performance of the proposed CMOMO over five state-of-the-art molecular optimization methods on two benchmark tasks of simultaneously optimizing multiple non-biological activity properties while satisfying two structural constraints. Furthermore, the practical applicability of CMOMO is verified on two practical tasks, where it identified a collection of candidate ligands of β2-adrenoceptor GPCR and candidate inhibitors of glycogen synthase kinase-3β with high properties and under drug-like constraints.
