Efficient and fine-grained access control with fully-hidden policies for cloud-enabled IoT

Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP-ABE)enables fine-grained access control on ciphertexts,making it a promising approach for managing data stored in the cloud-enabled Internet of *** existing schemes often suffer from privacy breaches due to explicit attachment of access policies or partial hiding of critical attribute ***,resource-constrained IoT devices,especially those adopting wireless communication,frequently encounter affordability issues regarding decryption *** this paper,we propose an efficient and fine-grained access control scheme with fully hidden policies(named FHAC).FHAC conceals all attributes in the policy and utilizes bloom filters to efficiently locate them.A test phase before decryption is applied to assist authorized users in finding matches between their attributes and the access *** attacks are thwarted by providing unauthorized users with invalid *** heavy computational overhead of both the test phase and most of the decryption phase is outsourced to two cloud ***,users can verify the correctness of multiple outsourced decryption results *** analysis and performance comparisons demonstrate FHAC's effectiveness in protecting policy privacy and achieving efficient decryption.

The paper presents a novel circular polarization(CP) antenna loading with a parasitic ring metal strip, which is designed for global positioning system (GPS) L1 band applications. The antenna consists of a defected ground plane with four arc-slots and a circular slot, a dielectric substrate, a parasitic ring metal strip, and a radiating patch (RP) with a arc-slot. By rotating the parasitic ring metal strip to opening slot on the RP, the antenna can be transformed from left-handed circular polarization (LHCP) to right-handed circular polarization (RHCP). The size of the antenna can be reduced by using slots on the ground. The simulation and optimization results show that impedance bandwidth of the L/RHCP antenna is over 100 MHz, and the axial ratio bandwidth is over 20 MHz. © 2023 ACES.

A novel millimeter wave sensing antenna array is proposed for application in miniature detection and sensing devices suitable for operating in multiple scenarios, e.g., collecting in the face of video and infrared, and other device materials in complex electromagnetic environments to achieve delightful sensing results. The proposed antenna array is designed to work at 30 GHz which is considered to integrate the optical devices and millimeter radar together by using a number of holes in the millimeter antenna array. Two different excitation modes are considered in the constructed design, where many holes are installed in the millimeter array, which aims to integrate the optical imaging cameras. In this design, the presented array serves as a radar to detect and get sensing results. Since the optical components are not metal and have a little effect on the performance of the antenna array, we use the holes to model the optical cameras to investigate the performance of the radiation patterns and impedance bandwidth. © 2023 ACES.

Few-shot Named Entity Recognition (Few-shot NER) aims to identify and classify unseen named entity types with a limited labeled samples. In recent years, large language models have achieved remarkable results in various NLP tasks due to their excellent zero/few-shot generalization capabilities. Recent research has extensively focused on using large language models to study the named entity recognition task. Negative sample entities have been demonstrated to be effective when performing this task using in-context learning paradigm. However, the problem of low efficiency and poor quality in manually constructing negative sample entities has been exposed. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose a Few-shot NER method based on generative negative sample enhancement (GNSE). Specifically, GNSE first utilizes a large language model to pre-identify potential entity spans in the support set text paragraphs in a zero-shot manner and generate the semantics of the spans based on the paragraph context. Then, the pre-identified candidate spans are compared with the ground-truth labels to determine positive or negative sample entity spans. Finally, based on Chain-of-Thought, the span semantics, positive and negative sample entities, and ground-truth labels are inserted into the example template for the in-context learning paradigm, and the test text from the query set is concatenated to construct a complete prompt. GNSE was evaluated on three widely used datasets: CoNLL’03, WNUT’17 and GUM. Cognitive navigation, a high-level and crucial function for organisms' survival in nature, enables autonomous exploration and navigation within the environment. However, most existing works for bio-inspired navigation are implemented with non-neuromorphic computing. This work proposes a bio-inspired memristive spiking neural network (SNN) circuit for goal-oriented navigation, capable of online decision-making through reward-based learning. The circuit comprises three primary modules. The place cell module encodes the agent's spatial position in real-time through Poisson spiking;the action cell module determines the direction of subsequent movement;and the reward-based learning module provides a bio-inspired learning method adaptive to delayed and sparse rewards. To facilitate practical application, the entire SNN is quantized and deployed on a real memristive hardware platform, achieving about a 21 × reduction in energy consumption compared to a typical digital acceleration system in the forward computing phase. This work offers an implementation idea of neuromorphic solution for robotic navigation application in low-power scenarios. © 2007-2012 IEEE.

In this paper, an antenna for ultra-wideband multiple-input and multiple-output (UWB-MIMO) is designed. The design comprises two hexagonal monopole antennas. In order to achieve ultra-wideband characteristics and mitigate the coupling, a stepped microstrip line structure for impedance matching and T-shaped defective ground structure are employed, which optimizes the broadband characteristics and achieves high isolation characteristics. The antenna achieves a wide impedance bandwidth of 3.5 GHz to 13.9 GHz (relative bandwidth of 119%). Furthermore, the isolation between the two feed ports of the antenna exceeds 18 dB, the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) is less than 0.012, and it exhibits favorable radiation characteristics. © 2024 IEEE.

CPT: a pre-trained unbalanced transformer for both Chinese language understanding and generation

In this paper, we take the advantage of previous pre-trained models(PTMs) and propose a novel Chinese pre-trained unbalanced transformer(CPT). Different from previous Chinese PTMs, CPT is designed to utilize the shared knowledge between natural language understanding(NLU) and natural language generation(NLG) to boost the performance. CPT consists of three parts: a shared encoder, an understanding decoder, and a generation decoder. Two specific decoders with a shared encoder are pretrained with masked language modeling(MLM) and denoising auto-encoding(DAE) tasks, *** the partially shared architecture and multi-task pre-training, CPT can(1) learn specific knowledge of both NLU or NLG tasks with two decoders and(2) be fine-tuned flexibly that fully exploits the potential of the model. Moreover, the unbalanced transformer saves the computational and storage cost, which makes CPT competitive and greatly accelerates the inference of text generation. Experimental results on a wide range of Chinese NLU and NLG tasks show the effectiveness of CPT.

Multi-View User Preference Modeling for Personalized Text-to-Image Generation

Personalized text-to-image generation aims to synthesize images tailored to individual user preferences. Existing methods primarily generate customized content using a few reference images, which often struggle to mine user preferences from historical records, and thus fail to synthesize truly personalized content. In addition, it is difficult to directly incorporate the extracted feature of user preferences into the feature space of the generation model, since there exists a considerable gap between them. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-view personalized text-to-image generation method based on the diffusion model, named MVP-Diffusion, which learns instance- and user-level preferences from historical records and integrates them into the generation model. For instance-level user preference modeling, we employ a chain-of-thought prompting strategy to deduce preference keywords and integrate them into input prompts with the aid of a large language model. For user-level preference modeling, we construct a learnable embedding for each user to capture more comprehensive preferences by analyzing their historical records. An adaptive user preference fusion module is proposed to inject user preferences into the generation model via a set of learnable parameters. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly enhances the personalization of the generated images compared to the other personalized text-to-image generation methods. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

Addressing the problem of poor visual effect and noise interference in foggy video images collected by hawk-eye image sensors, we suggest an approach which utilizes difference images (DIs) fusion and two-stage clustering for detecting changes in monitoring video pictures. First, we utilize a dehazing algorithm based on the color attenuation prior theory to effectively eliminate the haze interference. Then, two DIs are generated using the compressed logarithmic ratio and maximum mean pixel ratio operators. Fusion of two DIs using multi-scale Laplace pyramid and regional energy algorithms, and filtered using the adaptive median filtering algorithm to obtain the final DIs. Finally, the soft threshold function and the FCM clustering algorithm are used to perform two-stage clustering on the DI to obtain the change detection result. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach can effectively and accurately detect subtle changes in hawk-eye surveillance video images under foggy conditions. © 2024 SPIE.
