The Object Goal navigation (ObjectNav) task requires the agent to navigate to a specified target in an unseen environment. Since the environment layout is unknown, the agent needs to infer the unknown contextual objects from partially observations, thereby deducing the likely location of the target. Previous end-to-end RL methods capture contextual relationships through implicit representations while they lack notion of geometry. Alternatively, modular methods construct local maps for recording the observed geometric structure of unseen environment, however, lacking the reasoning of contextual relation limits the exploration efficiency. In this work, we propose the self-supervised generative map (SGM), a modular method that learns the explicit context relation via self-supervised learning. The SGM is trained to leverage both episodic observations and general knowledge to reconstruct the masked pixels of a cropped global map. During navigation, the agent maintains an incomplete local semantic map, meanwhile, the unknown regions of the local map are generated by the pretrained SGM. Based on the generated map, the agent sets the predicted location of the target as the goal and moves towards it. Experiments on Gibson, MP3D and HM3D show the effectiveness of our method. Intellectual property transactions have shown a strong growth momentum in recent years, but the patent transaction market has been plagued by the matching degree of consumers and sellers, resulting in frequent problems such as low patent transformation efficiency and poor transaction quality. This paper proposes a method of recommending patents to consumers by experts to improve the environment of patent transactions. Through the analysis of the past transaction information of the patent, the effective path information of the target is extracted. The graph neural network is used to describe the characteristics and semantics among experts, patents and consumers, and then capture the potential weight among them through the common attention mechanism, and then dynamically integrate them to predict the occurrence of recommendation behavior. The paper makes reasonable use of social information and expert information in the transaction, which significantly improves the rationality and accuracy of expert recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

Task-oriented dialogue systems (TOD) aim to help users complete specific tasks through multiple rounds of dialogue, in which Dialogue State Tracking (DST) is a key component. The training of DST models typically necessitates the availability of a substantial corpus of dialogue data with turn-level annotations. However, the collection of such data is both costly and inefficient. Despite the impressive performance of systems based on advanced large language models (LLMs), their closed-source nature restricts the potential for local deployment. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a new zero-shot slot-aware enhanced model (SAE), which introduces a novel coded prompting framework to enhance the DST capability of small parameter models in new domains and task scenarios. In particular, we have devised a prompting framework that employs code to refine task instructions. Furthermore, we have proposed a slot-aware question generation mechanism that generates slot-aware questions based on contextual details in accordance with the dialogue context, thereby enhancing the model's perception and matching capabilities for slots. In order to verify the effectiveness of the model, we conducted experiments on the MultiWOZ dataset. The results show that the SAE model has achieved significant performance improvements in zero-shot DST tasks.

This study derived a solution method for Doppler shift positioning of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and built a simulation environment for satellite constellation. Addressing the numerical instability and convergence issues of the Gauss-Newton (G-N) iterative algorithm in the solution process, an improved solution method based on the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm was proposed. By conducting experiments with different error terms introduced and comparing the experimental results of various methods, it was found that the LM algorithm exhibited superior positioning accuracy in both single-error and mixed-error scenarios. Furthermore, to tackle the sensitivity of the Doppler shift positioning algorithm for low Earth orbit satellites to initial values, a grid search-based method for determining initial values was proposed, thereby reducing the impact of initial values on the positioning results.

As the largest source of technical information around the world, patents are regarded as an essential crystallization and carrier of knowledge and technological innovation. Patent transformation is conducive not only to enhancing economic efficiency, but also to improving productivity and the rational utilization of resources. There is an imbalance between high patent ownership and low transformation rates. We try to predict the occurrence of transformation events from the patent assignment. However, there are some challenges in predicting patent transformation: (1) how to capture transformation features of patents, especially combined with the transfer time factor. (2) how to predict patent transfer time effectively. To address these challenges, a Patent Transfer Time Forecasting Model (PTTFM) is proposed. The model includes: (1) extraction of time-varying features of patents. (2) the patent transfer time is forecast using a Neural Temporal Point Process. By testing the model on patents under different classifications, the experimental results are obtained to show that the proposed model is applicable to predict the timing of patent assignment within a certain time frame, especially one month. Our work may facilitate patent transformation while interpretability is ensured for transformation events. © 2023 IEEE.

Unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) attracts extra attention in medical image processing because no additional labels are required when adapting to different distributions. In this work, we propose a novel unsupervised domain adaptation framework named as Domain Expansion and PseudoLabeling (DEPL). We extend the domain of a labeled source domain data to four different distributed domains and use adversarial learning to align the image appearance level and feature level from the four different domains to the unlabeled target domain. In addition, we propose a selective pseudolabeling mechanism, namely using strong confidence pseudolabeling to boost model performance. We evaluate our model for the MR to CT adaptation segmentation task on the public dataset MMWHS. Compared to seven other state-of-the-art segmentation methods, our DEPL achieves the best Dice similarity coefficient by 82.4%, which is at least 3.9% higher than the other UDA segmentation methods.

Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) is the standard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). With the development of artificial intelligence, an increasing number of studies have begun to explore its application in cancer treatment prediction. However, the prior methods exhibit considerable variability even with slight modifications to the input data, which could potentially undermine the reliability of the results. In this paper, we proposed RP-Net, a novel multi-modal fusion-based framework that combines feature information from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and whole slide images (WSI), establishing a relationship to map the therapeutic effectiveness of nCRT for LARC. We investigated the relationship of the tumour region and its periphery tissues, and demonstrated the validity of the proposed framework that involving 11 different combinations of modalities. The experimental results revealed that it has achieved higher prediction accuracy compared to the four intra-categories single-modal combinations and outperformed the two intra-categories multi-modal combinations. When compared to the other four inter-categories multi-modal combinations, the fusion features get accuracy of 2% ∼ 6% improvement respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Machine learning plays a significant role in various fields. As a fundamental part of machine learning, matrix operations are one of the most important computational parts of neural networks. However, the advancement of Moore’s law is hindered by limitations in the number and size of transistors on electronic chips. Therefore, the implementation of optical neural network (ONN) using photonic devices to accomplish matrix-vector multiplication (MVM) has attracted significant attention. Compared with traditional electrical on neural networks, ONN exhibits faster computational speed, higher parallel input capability and greater energy efficiency. Nevertheless, crosstalk and signal loss are inevitable characteristics in optical signal transmission, which can degrade the performance of ONN. In this paper, we present analysis models and simulations to assess the effects of crosstalk and loss on optical computing systems. We have observed that the accuracy of ONN degrades when crosstalk and loss are present. In severe cases, ONN is unable to complete the classification task. To mitigate the interference of crosstalk, we have designed a novel double-layer structure to reduce the number of optical devices required for signal transmission and optimize the impact of crosstalk on ONN performance. For the identical classification task, the ONN based on a double-layer structure exhibits better interference immunity than the generic ONN, with a 10% performance improvement. In particular, performance is improved by 50% when only crosstalk is considered. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Federated learning-based model marketplaces have the potential to securely leverage healthcare data for efficient healthcare transactions. However, the willingness to participate in this marketplace is severely hindered by self-interested model sellers, who maximize their personal gains via distorting the quality of their models. To this end, we propose a rePutation-driven hierArchical inCentive mEchanism, called PACE, which combines contract cooperation and game pricing to motivate model sellers to be honest, thereby improving the sustainability of the model marketplace via two-layer cooperation. Specifically, at the training layer, we design a reward payment rule based on multidimensional contracts, while at the trading layer, we use a competitive market pricing game to develop the accuracy pricing rule. In particular, the above rules cleverly combine the fine-grained model sellers' reputations with the willingness of healthcare devices to indirectly affect the model sellers' utilities. Theoretically, we prove that PACE can effectively incentivize model sellers to truthfully report model quality while satisfying both individual rationality and incentive compatibility with a fairness guarantee. Experimental results conducted on four real-world datasets show that our PACE improves the global performance by up to 12.85% and reduces the global loss by at least 19.23% compared with the state-of-the-art baselines. © 1975-2011 IEEE.
