A multi strategy improved Newton- Raphson-Based Optimizer (NRBO) is proposed to address the problem of slow convergence speed in the later stage of algorithm iteration and difficulty in finding the global optimal solution when facing complex functions. Firstly, using a set of best points instead of randomly generated initial populations to evenly distribute individuals in the optimization space improves the efficiency of the algorithms global and local search. Secondly, based on the idea of differential evolution, the initial population is mutated and crossed to accelerate the iteration speed. Then, in the optimal update stage, the Levi flight strategy is introduced to enhance the algorithms ability to jump out of local optima. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm was tested on the CEC2005 test set, and compared with other algorithms on two test sets. The results showed that the convergence speed and accuracy of the algorithm were significantly improved. Finally, the proposed algorithm was applied to two practical engineering optimization problems, and simulation results showed that the algorithm proposed in this paper has better practicality and robustness compared to other algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Although numerous publications address the optimal controller design for MJSs, the issue of hidden MJSs, particularly those with mismatched jumping modes between the system and the controller, has rarely been explored.

With the rapid development of Internet technology and the continuous explosive growth of network traffic, Traffic Engineering (TE), as a viable method for optimizing network traffic distribution and improving network performance, attracts widespread attention from both industry and academia. Software Defined Networks (SDN), which decouples the data plane and the control plane, realizes a flexible routing and improves the TE performance. Existing TE approaches in SDN mainly utilize Reinforcement Learning (RL) methods to learn the mapping relationship between network traffic and routing policies. However, due to the continuous expansion of network size and dynamic changes in traffic, the enlargement of traffic state space hinders RL from converging to the optimal routing policy, leading to a decline in network performance. To address these issues, this paper presents a TE method based on unsupervised contrastive representation and RL. This method first shrinks the original traffic state space by efficiently extracting traffic features through Contrastive Learning (CL), aiding quick convergence of RL. It then uses RL to directly learn the mapping from traffic features to traffic splitting policies. Finally, through numerous experiments on real network traffic and topology, it demonstrates that the proposed TE method can effectively achieve load balancing of network traffic under complex and volatile dynamic traffic demands, thereby enhancing network performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, unsupervised image denoising methods learning from paired noisy samples have received increasing attention. These methods build on the idea that the mean of multiple noisy images of the same scene is the ideal clean image. However, these methods ignore the effect of Aleatoric uncertainty in the noisy image (e.g., pixels deviating from the expected distribution). The presence of Aleatoric uncertainty causes degradation of the reconstructed target pixels, resulting in high uncertainty for these pixels (i.e., low confidence), which in turn leads to sub-optimal denoising results. To address this problem, we propose a novel uncertainty-aware unsupervised image denoising method named Uncer2Natural (U2N). It dynamically predicts the Aleatoric uncertainty for each noisy sample and produces satisfactory denoising results by reducing the effect of Aleatoric uncertainty. Extensive experimental results show that U2N outperforms state-of-the- art unsupervised image denoising methods in terms of both quantitative metrics and qualitative visual quality. © 2023 IEEE.

With the continuous development of intelligent transportation technologies such as autonomous driving and navigation, accurate perception of road markings becomes crucial. However, due to limitations in sensor perspectives and obstacles blocking the view, the scanned point cloud of road markings is often incomplete, potentially leading to erroneous decisions in intelligent transportation systems. Therefore, it becomes imperative to recover complete road markings from these incomplete point clouds. This paper proposes a text-guided road marking completion method, which integrates text information with point cloud data using attention mechanisms. By leveraging text information to guide the network in completing road marking point clouds, the proposed method aims to enhance the perception accuracy and completeness of road markings. Experimental validation on road marking datasets demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed approach. © 2024 IEEE.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) detection in the wild is a challenging task due to the presence of background noise and the varying size of the object. To address these obstacles, we propose a novel learning framework for robust UAV detectors, which we call Difference-based Multi-scale Learning (DML). We argue that motion information matters in UAV detection because of the low recognition in one frame. Our method utilizes the frame difference of multiple previous frames, extracting motion information and blocking background noise. We also fuse multiple spatial-temporal scales for training and inferencing, enabling fusion from different sources. In addition, to better evaluate the performance of UAV detection in different scales, we propose Multi-Scale Average Precision (MSAP) metric to aggregate the detection accuracy over multiple scales. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that our proposed approach improves the detection accuracy of baseline models. Notably, we achieve SOTA performance in the 3rd Anti-UAV Challenge, with 2nd place in Track 2 and 4th place in Track 1. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the k-winners-take-all(kWTA)operation,this paper proposes a gradient-based differential kWTA(GDk WTA)*** obtaining the network,theorems and related proofs are provided to guarantee the exponential convergence and noise resistance of the proposed GD-kWTA ***,numerical simulations are conducted to substantiate the preferable performance of the proposed network as compared with the traditional ***,the GD-k WTA network,backed with a consensus filter,is utilized as a robust control scheme for modeling the competition behavior in the multi-robot coordination,thereby further demonstrating its effectiveness and feasibility.

CPAL: Cross-prompting Adapter with LoRAs for RGB+X Semantic Segmentation

As sensor technology evolves, RGB+X systems combine traditional RGB cameras with another type of auxiliary sensor, which enhances perception capabilities and provides richer information for important tasks such as semantic segmentation. However, acquiring massive RGB+X data is difficult due to the need for specific acquisition equipment. Therefore, traditional RGB+X segmentation methods often perform pretraining on relatively abundant RGB data. However, these methods lack corresponding mechanisms to fully exploit the pretrained model, and the scope of the pretraining RGB dataset remains limited. Recent works have employed prompt learning to tap into the potential of pretrained foundation models, but these methods adopt a unidirectional prompting approach i.e., using X or RGB+X modality to prompt pretrained foundation models in RGB modality, neglecting the potential in non-RGB modalities. In this paper, we are dedicated to developing the potential of pretrained foundation models in both RGB and non-RGB modalities simultaneously, which is non-trivial due to the semantic gap between modalities. Specifically, we present the CPAL (Cross-prompting Adapter with LoRAs), a framework that features a novel bi-directional adapter to simultaneously fully exploit the complementarity and bridging the semantic gap between modalities. Additionally, CPAL introduces low-rank adaption (LoRA) to fine-tune the foundation model of each modal. With the support of these elements, we have successfully unleashed the potential of RGB foundation models in both RGB and non-RGB modalities simultaneously. Our method achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance on five multi-modal benchmarks, including RGB+Depth, RGB+Thermal, RGB+Event, and a multi-modal video object segmentation benchmark, as well as four multi-modal salient object detection benchmarks. This article introduces a kind of stochastic SEIR models containing virus mutation and logistic growth of susceptible populations, whose deterministic versions have a positively invariant set and globally asymptotically stable equilibrium points. For these stochastic SEIR epidemic models, we prove they have a unique global positive solution, and also obtain sufficient conditions respectively for survival and extinction of the infectious disease. Continual Semantic Segmentation (CSS) aims to continuously learn new classes while mitigating catastrophic forgetting. Existing CSS methods primarily address this challenge through knowledge distillation. While they focus on maintaining stability for old classes, this emphasis often restricts plasticity in learning new ones. In this work, we propose two plug-and-play methods to better balance stability and plasticity. First, for feature map distillation, we replace pixel-level constraints with statistical information extraction within a window, improving the learning of new classes while preserving structural integrity to overcome forgetting. Second, we use relative ranks of predictions to replace exact probabilistic values to loosen the constraints in the logit distribution of old classes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our methods outperform state-of-the-art methods when integrating into several baselines across various CSS scenarios. © 2025 IEEE.
