In order to provide sufficient reaction time for air traffic controllers and pilots, a Flight Conflict Detection Algorithm (FCDA) based on Cylindrical Protection Zone (CPZ) in the Conformal Geometric Algebra (CGA) is proposed. Initially, the CGA description of the CPZ is represented by using the CGA forms of the central circle and central axis segments of the cylinder. Then based on the inner and outer product and geometric product operations of CGA, the positional relationship of the two CPZs is judged to determine whether a flight conflict occurs or not. Subsequently, we compared the performance of flight conflict detection methods based on rectangular protection zones, spherical protection zones, and cylindrical protection zones through experiments in CGA and Euclidean space, respectively, the experimental results show that in CGA, the proposed method has a faster speed than the flight conflict method based on cuboids, and is basically equivalent to the method based on spherical protection zones. Significantly, all CGA-based methodologies demonstrated superior speed over their Euclidean space counterparts. Considering the propensity of rectangular and spherical zones to elicit false alarms due to their expansive coverage of airspace, the CGA-CPZ-FCDA method emerges as the superior choice. © 2024 IEEE.

To improve the safety and efficiency of aviation operation, a Kalman filtered trajectory prediction algorithm based on geometric algebra is proposed in this space. Firstly, the Kalman filter equations for trajectory prediction in geometric algebraic space are given by taking position, velocity and acceleration as state variables and position, velocity and acceleration in a typical trajectory as observations. Secondly, the matrix operation in the geometric algebraic space is simplified to the matrix operation by establishing a composite geometric algebraic space. Then, the versor operator in the conformal geometric algebraic space is introduced into the Kalman filter, and the steps of geometric algebra-based Kalman filter trajectory prediction are given to improve the prediction rate and accuracy. The experimental results show that the proposed trajectory prediction algorithm has the highest accuracy and the operation efficiency is improved by 27.66% compared with the Kalman filter algorithm in Euclidean space and the DBSCAN clustering algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the traditional blind source separation for the received single-channel mixed radar signal makes it difficult to accurately recover the source signal, a single-channel radar signal comprehensive separation method based on the combination of the FastICA algorithm and the variational modal decomposition (VMD) algorithm is proposed. The method utilizes VMD to first perform modal separation of single-channel mixed Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signal, then selects the modal component signal with the largest correlation coefficient with the mixed signal and expands it with single-channel mixed LFM signal into a virtual multi-channel mixed signal, and finally inputs it into FastICA algorithm to obtain the source signal. The simulation experiment results show that the comprehensive separation algorithm can accurately separate the LFM signal, overcoming the limitation that the FastICA algorithm cannot directly separate the single-channel mixed radar signal. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2023.

A Miniaturized Bandwidth Reconfigurable Bandpass Chip Filter with Semi-lumped Topology and GaAs pHEMT Technology

A miniaturized reconfigurable bandpass chip filter with semi-lumped topology and Gallium Arsenide pseudomorphic High electron mobility transistor（GaAs pHEMT） technology is proposed. Semi-lumped topology is employed to instead the traditional lumped inductor with microstrip transmission line, which can reduced the size of the tunable filter significantly. Three-order series and shunt resonated bandpass filter is implemented with shorted stubs and metal-insulator-metal capacitors. Two transmission zeros are introduced with the series resonator and the shunted GaAs FET. By tuning the gate bias circuit of the FET, the capacitance of the series resonator is changed and the bandwidth of the filter is adjusted correspondingly. An equivalent circuit model is developed to interpret the mechanism of the proposed filter circuit. A reconfigurable on chip filter sample operated at 10 GHz is fabricated to validate the design. Two fractional bandwidth of 14.3% and 23.5% are tuned with bias voltage of the FET, while insertion loss of 2.4 d B and 2.2 d B are observed with the filter, respectively. The area of the chip filter is 0.86 × 0.96 mm2and is equivalent to an electrical length of 0.08 × 0.09λg2at center frequency. Measurement results agree well with the simulation ones.

Cognitive diagnosis models (CDMs) with high generalization are essential for intelligent education systems to reveal students' knowledge states in multiple datasets. However, existing CDMs' architectures are designed dependent on researcher expertise and experience from observing and summarizing partial students' learning behaviors, which makes handcrafted models not cover all learning behaviors well and thus limits their generalization. To develop generalized CDMs, this paper proposes an evolutionary neural architecture search to design CDMs' architectures effective on multiple datasets automatically. Specifically, we first formulate the search task as a multi-objective optimization problem (MOP), which maximizes model performance on multiple datasets containing learning behaviors as many as possible to ensure model generalization. Then, an expressive search space is devised to contain as many potential architectures as possible, where each architecture is denoted by a unified form, taking three given inputs and integrating them in a linear or no-linear manner for prediction. Finally, an evolutionary algorithm with a tailored deduplication strategy is employed to solve the MOP, where each architecture is further represented by a single-root computation tree for easy optimization. Experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate the generalization and effectiveness of the best architecture searched by the proposed approach, and the searched architecture also holds as good interpretability as handcrafted architectures. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-microgrid (MMG) systems offer notable advantages in terms of power sharing and mutual support when compared to individual microgrids (MGs). This paper presents a based on distributed event-triggered consensus strategy for optimizing the economic dispatch of multiple microgrids. The incorporation of the event-triggered mechanism into the multi-microgrid framework significantly reduces unnecessary communication among microgrids in contrast to the conventional time-triggered approach. For the multi-microgrid setup, a two-layer control strategy consisting of inter-microgrid and intra-microgrid layers is employed to achieve coherence by regulating the micro-incremental rates of distributed generation (DG) units. Leaderless event-triggered consistency is utilized for inter-microgrid coordination, while leader event-triggered consistency is implemented for intra-microgrid coordination, ultimately realizing the economic objective of minimizing the operational costs of the multi-microgrid system. Simulation results validate the efficacy of introducing the event-triggered mechanism and its impact on the economic dispatch of the multi-microgrid system. © 2023 IEEE.

JDC-GCN: joint diversity and consistency graph convolutional network

In real-world scenarios, multi-view data comprises heterogeneous features, with each feature corresponding to a specific view. The objective of multi-view semi-supervised classification is to enhance classification performance by leveraging the inherent complementary and consistent information present within diverse views. Nevertheless, many existing frameworks primarily focus on assigning suitable weights to different views while neglecting the importance of consistent information. In this paper, a multi-view semi-supervised classification framework called joint diversity and consistency graph convolutional network (JDC-GCN) is proposed. Firstly, the structure of graph convolutional network is introduced to the multi-view semi-supervised classification, capable of propagating the label information over the topological structure of multi-view data. Secondly, the proposed JDC-GCN captures the complementary and consistent information from multiple views through two indispensable sub-modules, Diversity-GCN and Consistency-GCN, respectively. Finally, the attention mechanism is leveraged to dynamically adjust the weights of various views, allowing us to measure the significance of heterogeneous features and the consistent graph without introducing additional parameters. Comprehensive experiments on eight multi-view datasets are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the JDC-GCN algorithm. This paper addresses the complex nature of electric vehicles (EVs) as both transportation means and mobile loads, and proposes an optimal dispatching scheduling strategy for EVs in the coupled transportation network and power grid. Firstly, a dynamic traffic network model is established by utilizing a vast amount of real-world traffic data, including Origin-Destination (OD) information, battery states, and departure times. A graph theory-based analysis is then employed to determine the optimal paths for EVs in the traffic network. Secondly, the charging behavior of EVs is integrated with the power grid, and charge-discharge scheduling is conducted for charging stations to optimize the power grid load curve while meeting the charging demands of EVs. Additionally, adaptive electricity prices are formulated based on the power grid's load generation through a dynamic pricing mechanism, further optimizing the charging strategy for EVs. Lastly, the impact of EV charging on the power grid load is analyzed by contrasting ordered and unordered charging and discharging modes. The research results demonstrate that the proposed optimal charging scheduling strategy for EVs in traffic-aware power grids can significantly reduce peak-valley differences in power grid load, enhance the economic and operational stability of the power grid, and effectively meet the charging demands of EV users. These findings provide valuable insights and promising potential for practical applications and widespread adoption. © 2023 IEEE.
