With the rapid advancement of deep learning, particularly in the field of medical image analysis, an increasing number of Vision-Language Models (VLMs) are being widely applied to solve complex health and biomedical challenges. However, existing research has primarily focused on specific tasks or single modalities, which limits their applicability and generalization across diverse medical scenarios. To address this challenge, we propose UMIT, a unified multi-modal, multi-task VLM designed specifically for medical imaging tasks. UMIT is able to solve various tasks, including visual question answering, disease detection, and medical report generation. In addition, it is applicable to multiple imaging modalities (e.g., X-ray, CT and PET), covering a wide range of applications from basic diagnostics to complex lesion analysis. Moreover, UMIT supports both English and Chinese, expanding its applicability globally and ensuring accessibility to healthcare services in different linguistic contexts. To enhance the model’s adaptability and task-handling capability, we design a unique two-stage training strategy and fine-tune UMIT with designed instruction templates. Through extensive empirical evaluation, UMIT outperforms previous methods in five tasks across multiple datasets. The performance of UMIT indicates that it can significantly enhance diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency, thus providing effective solutions for medical imaging applications. To deal with the insufficiency problem of Laplacian eigenmap (LE) method and Maximum margin criterion (MMC) method in feature extraction, a new dimensionality reduction method called Laplacian eigenmap based on Improved maximum margin criterion (LE/IMMC) is proposed with applications in gene expression data classification. The LE/IMMC intends to constrain similar data points as close to each other as possible and maximize the margin regions between different pattern classes simultaneously. The proposed LE/IMMC by introducing IMMC into the cost function of LE retains the characteristic of local neighborhood relationship of LE. Meanwhile, it emphasizes the discriminative information by incorporating IMMC, which can maximize the between-class scatter and minimize the within-class scatter. In the era of the explosion of digital content of large-scale self-media, user-friendly social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, provide opportunities for people to express their ideas and opinions freely. Due to lack of restrictions, hateful speech and its exposure can have profound psychological impacts on society. Current social networking platform is over-reliant on the manual check, and it is labor-intensive and time-consuming. Although there are many machines learning methods for the detection of hate speech, short text with character limit on social platforms is more challenging for the detection of hate speech and offensive language. To address the problem of data sparsity, we have proposed a topic memory model for hate speech and offensive language detection (abbreviated as TM-HOL). Potential topics are generated with our encoder and decoder to enrich short text features. Two memory matrices correspond to the topic words and the text, and the hate feature matrix is used to learn the syntactic features. It is demonstrated that our proposed method is effective on three datasets, performing better weighted-F1. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Superpixel segmentation is an image preprocessing technique that uses pixel blocks instead of pixels to improve the efficiency of subsequent image tasks. Existing methods are not sensitive to image texture. To solve this problem, a texture-oriented superpixel (TOS) segmentation method is proposed. Firstly, an adaptive parameter function based on pixel boundary probability is used to calculate the distance. Secondly, a gradual merging strategy is used for merging. And finally, a loop iterative framework is used to optimize the seeds. The experimental results show that TOS can effectively preserve the smaller texture information, generate seeds that are more consistent with image texture, and better detect image texture. © 2023 SPIE.

Intellectual property transactions have shown a strong growth momentum in recent years, but the patent transaction market has been plagued by the matching degree of consumers and sellers, resulting in frequent problems such as low patent transformation efficiency and poor transaction quality. This paper proposes a method of recommending patents to consumers by experts to improve the environment of patent transactions. Through the analysis of the past transaction information of the patent, the effective path information of the target is extracted. The graph neural network is used to describe the characteristics and semantics among experts, patents and consumers, and then capture the potential weight among them through the common attention mechanism, and then dynamically integrate them to predict the occurrence of recommendation behavior. The paper makes reasonable use of social information and expert information in the transaction, which significantly improves the rationality and accuracy of expert recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

Arbitrary style transfer aims to create a novel image from a content image and a style image, stylizing the content image with the style of the style image. However, recent algorithms are prone to unnatural output due to focusing on the statistical distribution of deep features and ignoring the relationship between channels in feature maps. In this paper, we devise a novel Arbitrary Neural Style Transfer Network called NCCNet, which is useful for artistic style transfer. Specifically, NCCNet creates good visual effects by fusing different layers of textures. Moreover, we design an Effective Channel Conversion Modules (ECCM) which uses a multi-channel matrix to rearrange style feature maps to the appropriate range by analyzing the relationship between channels. Then, we can obtain a covariance based on the rearranged style feature map. At the same time, we design a decoder named Self-Adaptive Decoder (SA-Decoder) that conforms to our algorithm. Moreover, we apply our algorithm to the video style transfer and get good results. Qualitative and quantitative evaluations demonstrate that NCCNet performs well in arbitrary video and image style transfer tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

In the application of RRT (Rapidly-exploring Random Trees) algorithm in obstacle avoidance path planning of redundant robot arms in high-dimensional space, the sampling area of random sampling points is large, the search time is long, the path twists and turns, and the redundant points are too many. In this paper, an efficient sampling RRT algorithm with adaptive step size and fast automatic convergence is proposed. Firstly, by adding the optimized gravity function, the step size of the extended tree is changed adaptively and the convergence is stronger. Secondly, the limited sampling of parent node area expansion is proposed to avoid useless point sampling and repeated point sampling, so that the utilization of sampling points is greatly improved. Finally, by changing the way of parent node reconnection and re-selection, the path tortuous degree is lower, the path planning cost and redundancy points are reduced, and MATLAB software is used to carry out the path planning simulation experiment. By comparing RRT, gravitational field RTT and RRT∗ algorithm, the improved RRT algorithm has significantly improved in distance, time and number of nodes. Community detection is of great importance to find hidden information in complex networks. For this problem, local expansion algorithms are becoming popular due to the low time complexity. However, most of them depend heavily on seed selection or require setting some thresholds in advance, leading to inaccurate partition. To this end, this paper proposes a self-adaptive two-stage local expansion algorithm (SALEA) for community detection. Specifically, we propose a self-adaptive strategy that can be used in SALEA for finding communities spontaneously. In the first stage, we apply the self-adaptive strategy for nodes to conduct local expansion and get coarse community structures. In the second stage, we apply the self-adaptive strategy for weak communities obtained in the first stage to refine the coarse community structures and get more accurate partitions. Finally, the experimental results on real and synthetic networks demonstrate that SALEA is superior over several state-of-the-arts. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In view of the fact that the existing propagation models ignore the influence of different fields and different virus variants on individual infection, and the classical propagation models only describe the macroscopic situation of virus transmission, which cannot be specific to individual cases, this paper proposes 67ya microscopic virus propagation model based on hypergraph (HC-SIRS). Firstly, the concept of hypergraph is used to divide different fields of individuals into corresponding hyperedges. Based on different contact probabilities of each hyperedge, the contact probability matrix is formed to relate the contact between individuals. The individual infection probability of micro-virus propagation model based on hypergraph is deduced, and the corresponding differential equation is established. Secondly, the basic regeneration number and its characteristics of the model are derived. The upper bound of the basic regeneration number of the model is less than or equal to that of the classical SIRS model, indicating that the virus is more difficult to spread in this model. In fact, the different fields people live in and the different personal constitutions have a certain impact on the spread of the virus. The model is more comprehensive, so it is more suitable for simulating the spread of the virus in theory. Finally, the COVID-19 data of Diamond Princess and two cities in China are used for simulation experiments, and the mean absolute error(MAE) is used as the evaluation standard. The results showed that HC-SIRS could well simulate the spread of COVID-19. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Recently,object detection based on convolutional neural networks(CNNs)has developed *** backbone networks for basic feature extraction are an important component of the whole detection ***,we present a new feature extraction strategy in this paper,which name is *** this strategy,we design:1)a sandwich attention feature fusion module(SAFF module).Its purpose is to enhance the semantic information of shallow features and resolution of deep features,which is beneficial to small object detection after feature fusion.2)to add a new stage called D-block to alleviate the disadvantages of decreasing spatial resolution when the pooling layer increases the receptive *** method proposed in the new stage replaces the original method of obtaining the P6 feature map and uses the result as the input of the regional proposal network(RPN).In the experimental phase,we use the new strategy to extract *** experiment takes the public dataset of Microsoft Common Objects in Context(MS COCO)object detection and the dataset of Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)image classification as the experimental object *** results show that the average recognition accuracy of COVID-19 in the classification dataset is improved to 98.163%,and small object detection in object detection tasks is improved by 4.0%.
