For efficient and high-fidelity local facial attribute editing, most existing editing methods either require additional finetuning for different editing effects or tend to affect beyond the editing regions. Alternatively, inpainting methods can edit the target image region while preserving external areas. However, current inpainting methods still suffer from the generation misalignment with facial attributes description and the loss of facial skin details. To address these challenges, (i) a novel data utilization strategy is introduced to construct datasets consisting of attribute-text-image triples from a data-driven perspective, (ii) a Causality-Aware Condition Adapter is proposed to enhance the contextual causality modeling of specific details, which encodes the skin details from the original image while preventing conflicts between these cues and textual conditions. In addition, a Skin Transition Frequency Guidance technique is introduced for the local modeling of contextual causality via sampling guidance driven by low-frequency alignment. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in boosting both fidelity and editability for localized attribute editing. DisenGCD: A Meta Multigraph-assisted Disentangled Graph Learning Framework for Cognitive Diagnosis

Existing graph learning-based cognitive diagnosis (CD) methods have made relatively good results, but their student, exercise, and concept representations are learned and exchanged in an implicit unified graph, which makes the interaction-agnostic exercise and concept representations be learned poorly, failing to provide high robustness against noise in students’ interactions. Besides, lower-order exercise latent representations obtained in shallow layers are not well explored when learning the student representation. To tackle the issues, this paper suggests a meta multigraph-assisted disentangled graph learning framework for CD (DisenGCD), which learns three types of representations on three disentangled graphs: student-exercise-concept interaction, exercise-concept relation, and concept dependency graphs, respectively. Specifically, the latter two graphs are first disentangled from the interaction graph. Then, the student representation is learned from the interaction graph by a devised meta multigraph learning module;multiple learnable propagation paths in this module enable current student latent representation to access lower-order exercise latent representations, which can lead to more effective nad robust student representations learned;the exercise and concept representations are learned on the relation and dependency graphs by graph attention modules. Finally, a novel diagnostic function is devised to handle three disentangled representations for prediction. Experiments show better performance and robustness of DisenGCD than state-of-the-art CD methods and demonstrate the effectiveness of the disentangled learning framework and meta multigraph module. Flexible capacitive pressure sensors are optimal for wearable electronic equipment owing to their advantages of simplicity in architecture and low power consumption. However, fabricating a bionic flexible capacitive pressure sensor with high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range of detection is still a great challenge. In this article, we propose a flexible pressure sensor based on femtosecond laser ablation with a treefrog suckers bionic microstructure. The treefrog suckers capacitive pressure sensor (TSCPS) has high sensitivity (0-10 kPa, 0.0762 kPa-1), wide detection range (500 kPa), high repeatability (>12000 s at 10 kPa), and fast response time (62.5 ms). For practical applications, the TSCPS was positioned on the wrist, palm, and sole of the hand to detect the movements of each part accordingly. The experimental findings indicate that the TSCPS has broad promising applications in bionic wearable products such as human locomotion monitoring. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, we recorded the electroencephalography (EEG) of human subjects when they watched a movie trailer. Based on the willingness preference from the subjects after finished the movie trailer watching, the EEG signals were analyzed to build regression models to predict the subjects' movie preferences. We proposed a new approach to rise the prediction accuracy. Specifically, the correlated component analysis (CCA) algorithm was used to calculate the inter-subject correlation (ISC) of each time segment in the movie trailer and the ISC of each channel in the EEG. These two states were selected to locate the moment when a specific area of the brain responds most strongly to the video stimulation, as an effective indicator for predicting individual movie preferences. The experimental results show that the method of selecting effective EEG signals at the level of ISC has achieved a better prediction effect on the GBDT regression model (R2 = 0.733, RMSE = 0.681). We also found that low-frequency EEG signals in the θ and δ bands of the parietal and occipital sites are more effective in predicting movie preferences than high-frequency EEG signals. © 2023 SPIE.

Accurate interpolation algorithms are highly desired in various theoretical and engineering scenarios. Unlike the traditional numerical algorithms that have exact zero-residual constraints on observed points, the neural network-based interpolation methods exhibit non-zero residuals at these points. These residuals, which provide observations of an underlying residual function, can guide predicting interpolation functions, but have not been exploited by the existing approaches. To fill this gap, we propose Hierarchical INTerpolation Network (HINT), which utilizes the residuals on observed points to guide target function estimation in a hierarchical fashion. HINT consists of several sequentially arranged lightweight interpolation blocks. The first interpolation block estimates the main component of the target function, while subsequent blocks predict the residual components using observed points residuals of the preceding blocks. The main component and residual components are accumulated to form the final interpolation results. Furthermore, under the assumption that finer residual prediction requires a more focused attention range on observed points, we utilize hierarchical local constraints in correlation modeling between observed and target points. Extensive experiments demonstrate that HINT outperforms existing interpolation algorithms significantly in terms of interpolation accuracy across a wide variety of datasets, which underscores its potential for practical scenarios. © 2023 Neural information processing systems foundation. Knowledge distillation (KD) has recently gained great success in the field of object detection. By transferring the knowledge of the spatial or channel domain from the teacher model to the student model, it allows for a more compact representation with minimal performance loss. Despite this progress, existing KD methods typically treat knowledge from spatial or channel domains independently, ignoring the exploitation of the mutual relationship between these domains. In this work, we first explore the connection between spatial and channel domains and find there exists a strong correlation between them, i.e. the salient channels tend to contain significant object regions in the spatial domain. Motivated by this observation, we propose DCSF-KD, a novel Dynamic Channel-wise Spatial Feature Knowledge Distillation framework for object detection by fully exploiting both spatial and channel knowledge. Specifically, we introduce channel-wise spatial feature distillation and global channel attention distillation, using information from both domains to improve the accuracy of the student network. Experiments demonstrate that our DCSF-KD outperforms existing detection methods on both homogeneous and heterogeneous teacher-student network pairs. For example, when using the MaskRCNN-Swin detector as the teacher, and based on RetinaNet and FCOS with ResNet-50 on MS COCO, our DCSF-KD can achieve 41.9% and 44.1% mAP, respectively. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). A novel wideband miniaturized composite monopole antenna is proposed, analysed and investigated in detail, where the antenna consists of a conical monopole structure with a loaded capacitive disc. The antenna is composed of multiple nested section, aiming to reduce the profile of the antenna. In order to achieve more efficient and accurate DDoS detection while ensuring data privacy, this paper proposes a DDoS detection method based on FLAD. Firstly, this paper uses the FLAD algorithm to train a global DDoS detection model without leaving local traffic data, protecting the privacy and security of traffic data between different hosts, and improving aggregation efficiency by dynamically adjusting the aggregation weights to adapt to different sub-dataset increments. Secondly, a DDoS traffic detection method based on the integration of LSTM and CNN is proposed, which extracts and analyzes the temporal correlation of traffic data by calculating the statistical characteristics of traffic data within a time period, to achieve real-time detection of traffic feature data. Again, combined with the concept of SDN, real-time defense against DDoS based on ODL-API is implemented, and precise matching of DDoS detection results with network entity information is achieved, realizing the technology of real-time and precise issuance of multiple flow rules, effectively blocking DDoS malicious attack traffic, protecting important entities in the topology, and maintaining stable traffic in the topology. This paper focuses on solving the detection problem of DDoS traffic data increments and uneven data distribution through the FLAD algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the accuracy of DDoS attack detection by more than 4% and the F1 Score by more than 7% compared to the FedAvg aggregation algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we focus on the challenging yet practical problem of Continual Few-shot Relation Extraction (CFRE), which involves extracting relations in the continuous and iterative arrival of new data with only a few labeled examples. The main challenges in CFRE are overfitting due to few-shot learning and catastrophic forgetting caused by continual learning. To address these problems, we propose a novel framework called RK2DA, which seamlessly integrates prototype-based data augmentation and relational knowledge distillation. Specifically, RK2DA generates pseudo data by introducing Gaussian noise to the prototype embeddings and utilizes a novel two-phase multi-teacher relational knowledge distillation method to transfer diverse knowledge from different embedding spaces.
