The ability of independent innovation in the field of artificial intelligence is a key element to occupy the commanding heights of future technology and talent competition in China. We investigate the combined occurrence of edge faults and vertex faults in the burnt pancake graph (BPn). In this paper, we prove that BPn−F, where F includes pairs of end-vertices of matching edges and fault-tolerant edges, contains a Hamiltonian cycle when |F| ≤ n−2 and a Hamiltonian path when |F| ≤ n−3. This establishes that BPn is (n − 2)-hybrid fault Hamiltonian and (n − 3)-hybrid fault Hamiltonian connected for n ≥ 3. These results are demonstrated to be optimal under the given conditions, with all bounds shown to be tight. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

a U-shaped structure, based on the equivalent lumped circuit of differential transmission line, is proposed to suppress the noise of differential-common-mode conversion. With the equivalent lumped circuit, the cause of mode conversion noise is analyzed. The U-shaped structure has reached the suppression level of 24.31 dB from DC to 10 GHz according to the simulated result. © 2022 IEEE.

Route optimization is a key core technology to optimize network traffic distribution, achieve network load balancing, and improve network performance. Traditional distributed networks widely run shortest-path based routing protocols, and the path of traffic is determined by the link weights of the distributed network, so routing optimization methods are usually optimized around the link weights of the network. Heuristics-based link weight optimization methods are widely used. However, heuristic methods rely on manually set rules, which are poorly generalized and cannot adapt well to dynamically changing traffic demands. Compared to heuristics, deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has the advantage of extracting more accurate feature representations in addition to its ability to handle high-dimensional state and action spaces. We propose a network link weight optimization method based on anti-symmetric deep graph networks (A-DGN) and reinforcement learning using a novel GNN framework anti-symmetric deep graph networks, where link weights are adjusted to reduce the network link utilization with the optimization objective of minimizing the maximum link utilization in the network. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves significant performance improvements in the link weight optimization problem in four real-world network topology scenarios.

Transformer has achieved excellent performance in the knowledge tracing (KT) task, but they are criticized for the manually selected input features for fusion and the defect of single global context modelling to directly capture students' forgetting behavior in KT, when the related records are distant from the current record in terms of time. To address the issues, this paper first considers adding convolution operations to the Transformer to enhance its local context modelling ability used for students' forgetting behavior, then proposes an evolutionary neural architecture search approach to automate the input feature selection and automatically determine where to apply which operation for achieving the balancing of the local/global context modelling. In the search space design, the original global path containing the attention module in Transformer is replaced with the sum of a global path and a local path that could contain different convolutions, and the selection of input features is also considered. To search the best architecture, we employ an effective evolutionary algorithm to explore the search space and also suggest a search space reduction strategy to accelerate the convergence of the algorithm. Experimental results on the two largest and most challenging education datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the architecture found by the proposed approach.

Virtual machine placement (VMP) plays a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency and sustainability of data centers. By consolidating virtual machines (VMs) onto fewer physical machines (PMs), VMP can significantly reduce power consumption and enhance resource utilization. This not only leads to cost savings but also contributes to environmental sustainability by minimizing energy waste. This paper focuses on addressing the energy-efficient VMP problem, which is critical for modern data centers aiming to balance performance and energy consumption. To tackle this challenge, we propose an improved group-based genetic algorithm (GGA). The GGA employs a novel grouping approach to encode chromosomes, allowing for more effective representation of VM-to-PM assignments. Additionally, optimized crossover and mutation operators are designed to improve the algorithm's performance, ensuring faster convergence and better solutions. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms traditional algorithms in terms of energy-saving efficiency and convergence speed.

A miniaturized ultra-wideband microwave limiter with low insertion loss is presented in this paper. This limiter adopts a three-stage antiparallel diode structure. A T-type LC network topology consisting of two spiral inductors and a parallel grounded metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor is utilized to replace the traditional λ/4 transmission line in series between the limiting circuits. Compared with the traditional topology, the proposed limiter has the advantages of miniaturization and ultra-wideband. The area of the presented microwave limiter chip is only 1.25×0.75mm2. The simulation results show that the limiter can work in 0.05-18GHz. Insertion loss is less than 0.65dB at 18GHz. The output power can be maintained below 15dBm with a maximum power input of 40dBm continuous wave. © 2022 IEEE.

For the navigation problem in unstructured outdoor environment such as the field without artificial marks, a precise vision navigation method for wheeled robot based on virtual navigation line is proposed. Virtual navigation line is a virtual line based on a small amount of visual information, which can be used in many complex environments. Firstly, the robot needs to design the shape of the walking route. And the general robot’s walking routes can be divided into linear route and curve route. Secondly, different virtual navigation line strategies are generated for different walking routes. In the linear navigation part, the virtual navigation line is determined according to the tracking target and the reference target generated. In the curve navigation part, the curve virtual navigation line is fitted according to the multiple targets. Then, the virtual calibration line is determined based on the camera pitch angle, field of view (FOV) and the horizon position in the image, the offset angle and offset distance are computed by using the geometric relationship between virtual calibration line and virtual navigation line. Finally, the fuzzy PID control method is applied to correct robot's direction. The Pioneer3-DX robot is used to do experiments in the outdoor field. The results show that our method can make the robot walk along the designed route in the unstructured outdoor environment accurately, and the navigation accuracy is within 10 cm. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The rebroadcasting of screen-recaptured document images introduces a significant risk to the confidential docu-ments processed in government departments and commer-cial companies. However, detecting recaptured document images subjected to distortions from online social networks (OSNs) is challenging since the common forensics cues, such as moiré pattern, are weakened during transmission. In this work, we first devise a pixel-level distortion model of the screen-recaptured document image to identify the robust features of color artifacts. Then, we extract a chromaticity map from the recaptured image to highlight the presence of color artifacts even under low-quality samples. Based on the prior understanding, we design a chromaticity map adapter (CMA) to efficiently extract the chromaticity map, and feed it into the transformer backbone as multi-modal prompt tokens. To evaluate the performance of the pro-posed method, we collect a recaptured office document im-age dataset with over 10K diverse samples. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed CMA method outper-forms a SOTA approach (with RGB modality only), reducing the average EER from 26.82% to 16.78%. Robustness eval-uation shows that our method achieves 0.8688 and 0.7554 AUCs under samples with JPEG compression $(QF=70)$ and resolution as low as $534\times 503$ pixels.
