Person re-identification, as the basic task of a multi-camera surveillance system, plays an important role in a variety of surveillance applications. However, the current mainstream person re-identification model based on deep learning requires a lot of labeled data, which takes a lot of time and manpower. In this study, we proposed a person re-identification method based on random occlusion recovery with noise channel. We add random occlusion blocks to the original image, use the GAN model for repair, and use the repaired image to expand the original training set. After that, the generated image is adjusted through the noise channel. Finally, we use the enhanced data set to train the baseline model. Our model achieves the state-of-the-art on Market-1501 dataset, proving that the method is effective. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Clustering analysis is important for providing personalized services across various user experience optimization. As an advanced clustering technique, Fuzzy Co-Clustering ( FCC ) excels at handling high-dimensional data by simultaneously grouping both samples and attributes while allowing objects to belong to multiple clusters. To alleviate the potential privacy risks posed by directly using raw data, researchers often employ local differential privacy (LDP) techniques for protection. However, current clustering studies under LDP either directly perform clustering on the high-dimensional data, which necessitates splitting the privacy budget heavily, leading to excessive noise injection, or fail to adequately address the impact of Laplacian noise on both objective function modeling and distance metric selection, resulting in reduced clustering accuracy. To address these limitations, we present a two-phase approach SONY , which allocates part of the privacy budget to evaluate attribute importance and perform dimensionality reduction accordingly, and then utilizes the remaining budget to conduct noise-aware clustering on the pruned data. Our key technical contributions include: (1) a Noise-aware Similarity Calculation method ( NSC ) that replaces traditional Euclidean distance with a specialized metric which accounts for the statistical properties of Laplacian noise; (2) an importance-driven dimension reduction and budget allocation method ( IDRBA ) which optimizes both attribute selection and privacy budget allocation; and (3) an outlier-aware objective function calculation method ( OOC ) which enhances robustness against potential noise-induced outliers. We provide theoretical guarantees for SONY 's convergence, privacy preservation, utility bounds, and computational complexity. Experimental evaluations conducted on two real-world datasets and one synthetic dataset, demonstrate that SONY outperforms the state-of-the-arts by at least 14% in F-Measure and 10% in Entrop

Sentence alignment, as one of the most active and fundamental tasks in the field of natural language processing (NLP), is usually realized in two categories of methods. One is traditional methods which are firstly proposed, the other, which are adopted later, is based on the Neural Network method. Presently, under the limitation that the existing mainstream data corpora are mostly in the form of 1-to-1, the alignment models with relatively good performance mainly apply to the cases of 1-to-1 sentence alignment. However, under the circumstance that a sentence contains too much information, 1-to-N sentence alignment can actually have a better effect on sentence translation tasks, compared with the 1-to-1 form, since it is more flexible and can reduce the complexity of the original sentence. As a result, we attempt to exploit neural networks with relatively good performance in the cases of 1-to-1 to fit in the cases of 1-to-N. In this paper, a novel 1-N Bilingual word Embedding with Sentence Combination CNN Improved Framework (1-NBESCC) is proposed in order to align 1-to-N sentences more precisely. Experiments show that our proposed model performs as good as the traditional methods such as BLEUALIGN in 1-to-1 situation, but much better in 1-to-N situation.

Deep-learning-based video processing has yielded transformative results in recent years. However, the video analytics pipeline is energy-intensive due to high data rates and reliance on complex inference algorithms, which limits its adoption in energy-constrained applications. Motivated by the observation of high and variable spatial redundancy and temporal dynamics in video data streams, we design and evaluate an adaptive-resolution optimization framework to minimize the energy use of multitask video analytics pipelines. Instead of heuristically tuning the input data resolution of individual tasks, our framework utilizes deep reinforcement learning to dynamically govern the input resolution and computation of the entire video analytics pipeline. By monitoring the impact of varying resolution on the quality of high-dimensional video analytics features, hence the accuracy of video analytics results, the proposed end-to-end optimization framework learns the best non-myopic policy for dynamically controlling the resolution of input video streams to globally optimize energy efficiency. Governed by reinforcement learning, optical flow is incorporated into the framework to minimize unnecessary spatio-temporal redundancy that leads to re-computation, while preserving accuracy. The proposed framework is applied to video instance segmentation which is one of the most challenging computer vision tasks, and achieves better energy efficiency than all baseline methods of similar accuracy on the YouTube-VIS dataset. In this paper, a spherical helix module based on 3D printing and microfluidic technologies was fabricated, tested and applied to drug delivery applications. A liquid metal alloy is introduced to enhance the sensitivity of the complex and drug-/liquid-reconfigurable helix topology. Moreover, the influence of the dimensions of the hemisphere inscribed by the helical turns on the resonant frequency of the structure is researched. The microfluidic channels with 1 mm radius are shaped in the form of double semispherical helix using a Form-2 3D printer. To fulfill effectively the liquid metal (LM) injection, movement and recycle for reuse, a syringe pump is integrated to flexibly control the flow of the fluid. Besides, the proof-of-concept prototype achieves excellent radiation gain and impedance matching. The realized sensitivity is 0.96 mL/GHz and 0.33 mL/GHz corresponding with the frequency shift from 2.28 to 2.01 GHz and 2.01 to 1.65 GHz.

Light field cameras are considered to have many potential applications since angular and spatial information is captured simultaneously. However, the limited spatial resolution has brought lots of difficulties in developing related applications and becomes the main bottleneck of light field cameras. In this paper, a learning-based method using residual convolutional networks is proposed to reconstruct light fields with higher spatial resolution. The view images in one light field are first grouped into different image stacks with consistent sub-pixel offsets and fed into different network branches to implicitly learn inherent corresponding relations. The residual information in different spatial directions is then calculated from each branch and further integrated to supplement high-frequency details for the view image. Finally, a flexible solution is proposed to super-resolve entire light field images with various angular resolutions. Experimental results on synthetic and real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms other state-of-the-art methods by a large margin in both visual and numerical evaluations. Furthermore, the proposed method shows good performances in preserving the inherent epipolar property in light field images.

Real-time multi-target path prediction and planning for autonomous driving aided by FCN

Real-time multi-target path planning is a key issue in the field of autonomous driving. Although multiple paths can be generated in real-time with polynomial curves, the generated paths are not flexible enough to deal with complex road scenes such as S-shaped road and unstructured scenes such as parking lots. Search and sampling-based methods, such as A* and RRT and their derived methods, are flexible in generating paths for these complex road environments. However, the existing algorithms require significant time to plan to multiple targets, which greatly limits their application in autonomous driving. In this paper, a real-time path planning method for multi-targets is proposed. We train a fully convolutional neural network (FCN) to predict a path region for the target at first. By taking the predicted path region as soft constraints, the A* algorithm is then applied to search the exact path to the target. Experiments show that FCN can make multiple predictions in a very short time (50 times in 40ms), and the predicted path region effectively restrict the searching space for the following A* search. Therefore, the A* can search much faster so that the multi-target path planning can be achieved in real-time (3 targets in less than 100ms). Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Aiming at the problem that the result of some attack sequence alignment methods is not necessarily the optimal expression of their characteristics. This paper presents a Production Rule Sequence Alignment Algorithm (PRSA) combining the production rule inference mechanism which improves traditional sequence alignment algorithm. A new accumulation of knowledge is obtained by changing the way of sequence alignment and the transformation of signatures. PRSA overcomes the problem that the extraction results produced by the traditional sequence alignment algorithm cannot express the attack signature accurately. Then, we establish an automatic attack signature generation model based on PRSA. The experimental results show that the matching results obtained by using PRSA can express the signatures of the attack accurately and improve the detection rate of the attacks.

The issue of maximizing the influence is a hot topic in the research of social network. Many researchers have studied from the perspective of the structure of the network such as the LeaderRank algorithm. However, the algorithm lacks semantic interpretability and explanations for user behavior. Therefore, we propose a novel URI (user-relational iterative) rank to address the above issues. The URI rank is divided into two parts to obtain the values of user influence. The first part is the forwarding probability based on the user relationship. We introduce the relationship between users to the user transition probability and use the random forest to quantify the value of the forwarding probability. The second part is the random transition probability based on the ground node. We optimize the weight assigning of the random transition probability by combining static decentralization and dynamic decentralization. Thus, we more accurately represent the user's random transfer behavior. The experiments performed on the Sina Micro-Blog Dataset show that our algorithm outperforms the existing algorithms.

The increasing attention on deep learning has tremendously spurred the design of intelligence processing hardware. The variety of emerging intelligence processors requires standard benchmarks for fair comparison and system optimization （in both software and hardware）. However, existing benchmarks are unsuitable for benchmarking intelligence processors due to their non-diversity and nonrepresentativeness. Also, the lack of a standard benchmarking methodology further exacerbates this problem. In this paper, we propose BENCHIP, a benchmark suite and benchmarking methodology for intelligence processors. The benchmark suite in BENCHIP consists of two sets of benchmarks： microbenchmarks and macrobenchmarks. The microbenchmarks consist of single-layer networks, They are mainly designed for bottleneck analysis and system optimization. The macrobenchmarks contain state-of-the-art industrial networks, so as to offer a realistic comparison of different platforms. We also propose a standard benchmarking methodology built upon an industrial software stack and evaluation metrics that comprehensively reflect various characteristics of the evaluated intelligence processors, BENCHIP is utilized for evaluating various hardware platforms, including CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators. BENCHIP will be open-sourced soon.
