Complex-wave retrieval based on blind signal separation

In tile process of the reconstruction of digital holography. the traditional methods of diffraction and filtration are commonly adopted to recover the original complex-wave signal. Influenced by twin-image and zero-order terms, the above-mentioned methods, however, either limit tile field of vision or result in the loss of the amplitude and phase. A new method for complex-wave retrieval is presented, which is based on blind signal separation. Three frames of holograms are captured by a charge coupled device （CCD） camera to form an observation signal. The term containing only amplitude and phase of complex-wave is separated, by means of independent component analysis, from the observation signal, which effectively eliminates the zero-order term. Finally. the complex-wave retrieval of pure phase wavefront is achieved. Experimental results show that this method can better recover the amplitude and phase of the original complex-wave even when there is a frequency spectrum mixture in the hologram.

In chaos control fields, the nonfeedback and the nonlinear feedback approaches are inevitable much less flexible. However linear feedback controllers are easy to implement, especially in electrical systems. In this paper, based on linear feedback control strategy and Lyapunov stability theory, some effective linear feedback controllers of variable states are given which can realize the control purposes of unstable equilibriums by a dislocated adaptive control of variables x and y. A numerical example is given to illuminate the design procedure and advantage of the results derived. It is noted that in principle, the dislocated adaptive control approaches developed in this paper can be applied to general smooth chaotic systems satisfying some mild required properties such as Chen system, lü system, etc. © 2006 IEEE.

In this paper, we offers a new algebraic point of view for DNA molecules and introduce the algebraic system by using the natural operation based on the Σ = {A, C, G, T}. We characterize its structure by using the algebraic theory. We show that (L, ∠, ⊗) is the distribution lattice of rings with identical element. Furthermore, we generalize this result to the W ρ(V), a set which elements simulates the DNA molecules with sticky ends, the element is called an incomplete double stranded molecules consist of mixed DNA molecules with double and single strands. © 2006 IEEE.

This paper presents a method of camera self-calibration based on structural information of scenes containing isosceles ***,we establish the homography between a plane in the scene and that of an image and provide the expression of the absolute conic in space under an affine coordinates *** using the homography and the constraints of circular points on camera intrinsic parameters,we construct a group of nonlinear equations and determine the camera intrinsic parameters by Levenberg-Marquardt *** experimental results of both synthetic data and real-world data show that our method possesses a high accuracy.

A novel graph seriation method based random graph theory is proposed in this paper. By seriation processing, graphs can be converted to string through constructing toroidal catch digraph. Seriated graph distance is using to represent the similarity between graphs. It measures the structural differences between graphs based on the dynamic warping technique. Dynamic time warping distance used in the paper is evaluated by dynamic programming. The results of our experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is eligible for graph distance measure

In this paper, the kurtosis-based method for the classification of mental activities is proposed. The EEG signals were recorded during imagination of left or right hand movement. The kurtosis of EEG and its dynamic properties with respect to time are analyzed. The experiment results show that the kurtosis can reflect the EEG pattern changes of different motor imageries. According to the analysis and experiment results, a kurtosis based classifier for the classification of left and right movement imagination is designed. This classifier can achieves near 90% correct rate. As the kurtosis is computationally less demanding and can also be estimated in on-line way, so the new method proposed in this paper has the practicability in the application of brain-computer interface. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.

We present a new distance for the contour-based shapes recognition which we called shape edit distance (SED). Unlike the traditional distance, SED takes into account the spatial deformation of shapes. To compute the shape edit distance, we convert shapes to string sequences so that string matching techniques can be used. We pose the problem of string matching as a maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) alignment of the string sequences for shapes and compute the shape edit distance by finding the sequence of string edit operations which minimizes the cost of the path traversing the edit lattice. Experiments demonstrate the utility of the shape edit distance on a number of image retrieval and clustering problems

This paper aims to carry out granular analysis of time sequence based on quotient space. Granular methods have long before been adopted to analyze time sequence, but the granularity was based on time, for example, day mean, month mean, year mean and so on in finance forecast. In this paper, the granularity is based on space and some significant results are obtained: we can, in certain circumstances, get characteristics of time sequence in an original space when carrying out granular analysis of it in its coarser-grain space;granular analysis of a Markov chain is equivalent to an hidden Markov model (HMM), contrarily, any HMM is equivalent to granular analysis of a Markov chain. These results deepened our understanding of HMM from the perspective of granular analysis. We can not only use the methods of HMM to study time sequence, but also use the methods of granular analysis based on quotient space theory to solve the problems of HMM. © 2006 IEEE.

The quotient space theory is indented to study the relationship of transform and that of dependency among the worlds with different grain-size. Compared-with other granule computing tools, it has more powerful abilities of representation and absorption. The reason is that structure is introduced in its model The paper is to study the quotient space theory based on structure. We first introduce some methods of constructing quotient structure. Then we study in detail the quotient space family based on structure, and get some good results for further research. Finally we also briefly discuss hierarchical structure of fuzzy sets.
