As one of the key problems in computer-aided medical image analysis, learning how to model global relationships and extract local details is crucial to improve the performance of abdominal multi-organ segmentation. While current techniques for Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are quite mature, their limited receptive field makes it difficult to balance the ability to capture global relationships with local details, especially when stacked onto deeper networks. Thus, several recent works have proposed Vision Transformer based on a self-attentive mechanism and used it for abdominal multi-organ segmentation. However, Vision Transformer is computationally expensive by modeling long-range relationships on pairs of patches. To address these issues, we propose a novel multi-organ segmentation framework, named GDTNet, based on the synergy of CNN and Transformer for mining global relationships and local details. To achieve this goal, we innovatively design a Dilated Attention Module (DAM) that can efficiently capture global contextual features and construct global semantic information. Specifically, we employ a three-parallel branching structure to model the global semantic information of multiscale encoded features by Dilated Transformer, combined with global average pooling under the supervision of Gate Attention. In addition, we fuse each DAM with DAMs from all previous layers to further encode features between scales. Extensive experiments on the Synapse dataset show that our method outperforms ten other state-of-the-art segmentation methods, achieving accurate segmentation of multiple organs in the abdomen. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In wireless communication systems, accurate channel estimation is essential to ensure the performance of wireless communication systems. Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (M-MIMO) systems have a dramatic increase in the number of channels to be estimated due to the large number of antennas, which poses a great challenge to the computing resources of the base station, and one solution is offloading these computing tasks of channel estimation to other computing nodes with more computing resources (such as servers). However, in real life, computing nodes are not willing to participate in channel estimation because of their equipment and operation cost. In order to solve this problem, this paper introduces blockchain technology and designs a blockchain-based transaction scheme for channel estimation (BTS-CE) to solve the problem of computing resources transaction for massive MIMO channel estimation, and designs the specific process of the scheme. In order to solve the problem that computing nodes cannot complete the computation task due to failure or malicious disconnection, a task allocation model is designed to assign a computation task to multiple computation nodes. The security of the transactions is guaranteed through the blockchain. Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) consensus mechanism cannot be applied to the public chain due to its low performance caused by a large number of nodes participating in consensus, this problem is solved by selecting some active nodes as consensus nodes. Simulation results show that improved PBFT(IPBFT) is lower in transaction delay and higher in throughput than PoW consensus mechanism. © 2022 ACM.

Large-scale multi-objective optimization problems(LSMOPs)pose challenges to existing optimizers since a set of well-converged and diverse solutions should be found in huge search *** evolutionary algorithms are good at solving small-scale multi-objective optimization problems,they are criticized for low efficiency in converging to the optimums of *** contrast,mathematical programming methods offer fast convergence speed on large-scale single-objective optimization problems,but they have difficulties in finding diverse solutions for ***,how to integrate evolutionary algorithms with mathematical programming methods to solve LSMOPs remains *** this paper,a hybrid algorithm is tailored for LSMOPs by coupling differential evolution and a conjugate gradient *** the one hand,conjugate gradients and differential evolution are used to update different decision variables of a set of solutions,where the former drives the solutions to quickly converge towards the Pareto front and the latter promotes the diversity of the solutions to cover the whole Pareto *** the other hand,objective decomposition strategy of evolutionary multi-objective optimization is used to differentiate the conjugate gradients of solutions,and the line search strategy of mathematical programming is used to ensure the higher quality of each offspring than its *** comparison with state-of-the-art evolutionary algorithms,mathematical programming methods,and hybrid algorithms,the proposed algorithm exhibits better convergence and diversity performance on a variety of benchmark and real-world LSMOPs.

In the Software Defined Network (SDN), the terminal has been connected to the network in the process when an access point failure or damage, if the access point is not properly selected, it will lead to a decline in the quality of service applications. To address this problem, most traditional AP selection methods use access point selection based on received signal strength without take into account the channel and channel capacity of the access point access, while this paper uses Deep Neural Networks (DNN)-based access point (AP) selection method and considers the channel and channel capacity as part of the parameters. In the SDN controller, the received signal strength, throughput, number of connected devices, channel, and the channel capacity and access point performance quality are used as the input and label of the DNN, respectively. The analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm can select AP with better performance quality compared with the traditional AP selection method based on received signal strength, and the correct rate is significantly improved by 5% when compared with the AP selection method based on feedforward neural network. Meanwhile, the DNN-based access point selection method in SDN achieves flexible control of network traffic and balances the load of access points in the network. © 2022 IEEE.

We proposed a high isolation design between two broadband dual polarization transceiver antennas in this paper. It employs periodic metal isolation walls with equal spacing and height to strongly suppress the low-frequency band (LB) coupling. Covering the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the metal with flexible graphene high resistive metasurfaces that easily conform to the structure improves 40 dB in isolation between different polarizations at 6–18 GHz. This device has less impact on the radiation pattern of the antenna. This design not only enhances the isolation between different polarizations but also optimizes equipment heat dissipation and improves device performance.

The accuracy of defect detection in various locations is directly affected by the influence of precise segmentation of radial tire images. As the need for high-quality tires has grown, so has interest in the steel belt region. This region contains a diversity of textures and is impacted by shadows, and only a rough segmentation of this region has been achieved in the available literature, but this is interfered with by other areas, resulting in unsatisfactory defect detection in this region. As a result, we present a fine segmentation method for boundary mutation that takes advantage of the projection property of the local narrow window. First, the histogram adhesion change detection algorithm is designed;next, the narrow sliding window’s histogram peak width change algorithm is designed;finally, a wide sliding window is used for vertical projection, and the absolute value of the histogram change rate at the boundary is designed to maximize the algorithm. To calculate the outside boundary of the steel belt, the difference between the three sets of coordinates is kept within a specific error range. The detection was performed on 1,000 self-constructed data sets, with an accuracy rate of 94% and a detection speed of 0.1 s The experiments show that the algorithm can segment the steel belt’s outer boundary more finely and robustly, and it has a strong segmentation effect for images with a near texture angle and tire sidewall cord angle. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper introduced a dual-layer broadband high-gain circularly polarized (CP) antenna. The proposed broadband CP antenna consists of the radiating patch and couping structure, which is made up of opening slot patch and L-shaped stub. An axial-ratio bandwidth of 26 % (4.36-5.66 GHz) is shown by this proposed dual-layer CP patch antenna with a simulated -10-dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of 37 % (4.23-6.15 GHz). The broadband characteristics offered by this CP antenna are promising for a wide range of future applications. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper aims to investigate the ability of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) damaged in multi-user environments to eliminate interference. Our research found that even if the RIS is damaged, interference can still be eliminated in the absence of a direct path and when the number of RIS is sufficient. In order to solve interference cancellation, we adopted the alternating projection algorithm, which ensures local convergence and good convergence speed.

Biomimetic Flexible Capacitive Sensor with Loop Electrode and Snail Tentacle Structure for Enhanced Proximity and Pressure Sensing

Flexible electronics have garnered significant attention due to their promising applications in embodied intelligence, smart interaction, and human-machine interface (HMI). In particular, flexible sensors with a detectability of proximity and pressure hold great potential in areas such as touchless control, health monitoring, and robotic perception. Here, we present a biomimetic flexible capacitive sensor, called the loop electrode bioinspired snail tentacle sensor (LEBSTS). The loop-patterned electrode layer enhances proximity sensing via the fringing field effect, while the bioinspired snail tentacle-structured polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) dielectric layer provides high sensitivity for pressure detection. The above design significantly improves sensing performance, achieving long-range proximity detection of 140 mm, a wide pressure-detection range from 0.9 Pa to 500 kPa, a high sensitivity of 2.844 kPa (0-1 kPa), and a fast response time of 87.5 ms. Moreover, the sensor demonstrates good durability, maintaining stable performance over 4500 cycles. Furthermore, the potential application of the sensor was explored, including human motion monitoring, touchless HMI, Morse code transmission via LoRa wireless communication, and pressure visualization systems. This work provides insights into the development of a high-performance and multifunctional flexible sensor, offering a promising platform for advanced intelligent sensing applications.

A pattern reconfigurable dual-port multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system utilizing Characteristic mode theory is proposed at 2.45GHz. By using the selective incentives of four characteristic modes, six pairs of balanced inductive exciter (BIEs) and the antenna are integrated to realize the selective incentives of the four patterns. In the feeder network, by changing the state of the PIN diode, the two ports realize selective incentive to obtain four working states. The test results show that the pattern reconfiguration technique is reliable and can be used in other types of structures. © 2021 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).
