Lupus erythematosus (LE) has the reputation of being the Great Imitator due to its various cutaneous manifestations, which often lead to difficulties in accurate diagnosis and classification. Even with the assistance of deep learning systems (DLSs), clinical skin image-based single modalities still experience difficulty distinguishing subtypes of LE. Here, we present an application of multimodal DLS (MMDLS), in which the training database consists of clinical skin images, multi-immunohistochemistry (multi-IHC) images and the 2019 European League Against Rheumatism/American College of Rheumatology (EULAR/ACR) scores, to assist in the classification of LE subtypes (discoid LE (DLE), annular subacute cutaneous LE (A-SCLE), papulosquamous subacute cutaneous LE (P-SCLE), systemic LE (SLE)) and to aid in the differential diagnosis of other similar skin diseases. A total of 386 cases with 580 clinical skin images, 3380 multi-IHC images and 2019 EULAR/ACR scores from 25 institutions in China were included, and EfficientNet-B3 and ResNet-18 were utilized in this study. By comparing the single-modal and dual-modal DLS performances in multiple classifications, we demonstrate the superiority of the MMDLS (Ave-Sen = 0.9116, Ave-Spe = 0.9921, Ave-Pre = 0.9281). Moreover, the performance of MMDLS on 13 classifications was superior to that of dermatologists and pathologists (F1 score: dermatologists = 0.4471, pathologists = 0.6691, MMDLS = 0.9582) with an average area under the curve (AUC) of 0.9956. These results highlight the potential of the combined application of MMDLS and multi-IHC images to assist pathologists and dermatologists in diagnosing LE subtypes and similar skin diseases. © 2021, CC BY.

Due to the large error of LMS algorithm and the slow convergence rate, the recursive least squares(RLS) algorithm is proposed. Although the recursive estimation error is greatly reduced, the convergence rate is one order of magnitude higher than that of the general LMS filter. When the order N increases, the amount of calculation for a single iteration of the RLS algorithm is increased significantly. Aiming at these problems, this paper proposes an improved FTRLS filtering algorithm, which is to find out the amount of large error and accumulate the error, and then make the error feedback to make the algorithm more stable. The analysis of MATLAB simulation results show that the improved algorithm can improve the convergence speed and stability of the algorithm, and effectively reduce the convergence of the noise.

With the expansion of the scale of wireless sensor network (WSN), the network node number is increasing. Because of the huge network overhead and low precision, the reference broadcast time synchronization algorithm can not meet the actual demand. In this paper, a novel time synchronization algorithm for high precision energy efficient wireless sensor networks is proposed. Through a Markov random field-based maximum a posteriori estimation method of wireless sensor network in two nonadjacent nodes in receiving multiple reference broadcast messages, the algorithm estimated the clock drift under the condition of phase error estimation, tracked in real time by the Gardner loop, and then realized the time synchronization process. Finally, the MATLAB simulation showed the proposed algorithm not only has a further improvement in the time synchronization accuracy, but also effectively reduces the overall energy consumption level of the whole WSN.

In this paper,we consider a wireless ad hoc network consisting of multiple source nodes transmitting to their respective destinations,where an eavesdropper attempts to intercept their *** propose an optimal transmission scheduling scheme to defend against the eavesdropper,where a source node having the highest secrecy rate is scheduled to access the wireless medium for transmitting to its destination in an opportunistic *** be specific,the secrecy rate between a pair of the source and destination in the presence of an eavesdropper varies temporally due to the wireless fading *** proposed optimal transmission scheduling scheme opportunistically selects a source node with the highest secrecy rate to transmit its data for the sake of maximizing the security of the ad hoc network against eavesdropping *** comparison purposes,we also consider the conventional round-robin scheduling as a benchmark,where multiple source nodes take turns in accessing their shared wireless medium for transmitting to their respective *** derive closed-form secrecy outage probability expressions of both the round-robin scheduling and the proposed optimal scheduling schemes over Rayleigh fading *** results show that the proposed transmission scheduling scheme outperforms the conventional round-robin method in terms of its secrecy outage ***,upon increasing the number of source-destination pairs,the secrecy outage probability of the round-robin scheme keeps unchanged,whereas the secrecy outage performance of the proposed transmission scheduling significantly improves,showing the security benefits of exploiting transmission scheduling for protecting wireless ad hoc networks against eavesdropping.

The pilot contamination is caused by non-orthogonal pilot sequences reuse in uplink, which affects the performance of Massive MIMO systems seriously, so it is necessary to mitigate pilot contamination. In this paper, we propose a pilot contamination precoding scheme to mitigate multi-cell pilot contamination. In the uplink, we propose a cell-defined training scheme, where the same pilot sequence is used in the same cell, and different cells use orthogonal pilot sequences, which eliminates inter-cell interference and introduces intra-cell interference artificially. In the downlink, we adopt Truncated Polynomial Expansion (TPE) precoding to reduce intra-cell interference, since the truncated polynomial of TPE precoding can replace the matrix inversion of Regularized Zero-Forcing (RZF) precoding, which reduces the complexity of RZF precoding and approximates the performance of RZF precoding by suitable truncation orders. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Double circulant codes of length 2n over the semilocal ring R = Fq + uFq, u2 = u, are studied when q is an odd prime power, and-1 is a square in Fq. Double negacirculant codes of length 2n are studied over R when n is even and q is an odd prime power. Exact enumeration of self-dual and LCD such codes for given length 2n is given. Employing a duality-preserving Gray map, self-dual and LCD codes of length 4n over Fq are constructed. Using random coding and the Artin conjecture, the relative distance of these codes is bounded below. The parameters of examples of the modest length are computed. Several such codes are optimal. The conventional Bayesian framework of filtering is based on the assumption that the measurements are available at each time-step without any delay. But in real-life problems, measurements may be randomly delayed in time. In this paper, we modified the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) for arbitrary time delayed measurements. With the help of simulation results, it has been shown that the proposed filter provides more accurate estimation compared to the ordinary UKF in presence of randomly delayed measurements.

We study the combinatorial function L(k, q), the maximum number of nonzero weights a linear code of dimension k over Fq can have. We determine it completely for q = 2, and for k = 2, and provide upper and lower bounds in the general case when both k and q are ≥ 3. A novel compact broadband circularly polarized (CP) antenna is proposed for use in the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). Circular polarization for the presented antenna is achieved by introducing two L-shaped branches in the ground plane and inverted L-shaped microstrip fed. The antenna exhibits a wide impedance bandwidth of 44.9% (1.14-1.8GHz) for reflection coefficient<-10dB and an axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 36.9% (1.15-1.67GHz) for AR<3dB. The CP bandwidth (reflection coefficient<-10dB and AR<3dB) can cover all GNSS frequency bands. Although simple in structure, the antenna can meet the requirements for handheld wireless terminals.
