Few-shot font generation (FFG) aims to learn the target style from a limited number of reference glyphs and generate the remaining glyphs in the target font. Previous works focus on disentangling the content and style features of glyphs, combining the content features of the source glyph with the style features of the reference glyph to generate new glyphs. However, the disentanglement is challenging due to the complexity of glyphs, often resulting in glyphs that are influenced by the style of the source glyph and prone to artifacts. We propose IF-Font, a novel paradigm which incorporates Ideographic Description Sequence (IDS) instead of the source glyph to control the semantics of generated glyphs. To achieve this, we quantize the reference glyphs into tokens, and model the token distribution of target glyphs using corresponding IDS and reference tokens. The proposed method excels in synthesizing glyphs with neat and correct strokes, and enables the creation of new glyphs based on provided IDS. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method greatly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both one-shot and few-shot settings, particularly when the target styles differ significantly from the training font styles. The VEM for time-harmonic Maxwell equations in inhomogeneous media with Lipschitz interface

It has been extensively studied in the literature that solving Maxwell equations is very sensitive to mesh structures, space conformity and solution regularity. Roughly speaking, for almost all the methods in the literature, optimal convergence for low-regularity solutions heavily relies on conforming spaces and highly regular simplicial meshes. This can be a significant limitation for many popular methods based on broken spaces and nonconforming or polytopal meshes often used for inhomogeneous media, as the discontinuity of electromagnetic parameters can lead to quite low regularity of solutions near media interfaces. This very issue can be potentially worsened by geometric singularities, making those methods particularly challenging to apply. In this paper, we present a lowest-order virtual element method for solving an indefinite time-harmonic Maxwell equation in 2D inhomogeneous media with quite arbitrary polytopal meshes, and the media interface is allowed to have geometric singularity to cause low regularity. We employ the “virtual mesh” technique originally invented in [S. Cao, L. Chen and R. Guo, A virtual finite element method for two-dimensional Maxwell interface problems with a background unfitted mesh, Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci. 31 (2021) 2907–2936] for error analysis. This work admits three key novelties: (i) the proposed method is theoretically guaranteed to achieve robust optimal convergence for solutions with merely H^θ regularity, θ ∈ (1/2, 1];(ii) the polytopal element shape can be highly anisotropic and shrinking, and an explicit formula is established to describe the relationship between the shape regularity and solution regularity;(iii) we show that the stabilization term is needed to produce optimal convergent solutions for indefinite problems. Extensive numerical experiments will be given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2025 World Scientific Publishing Company.

In this paper, a dual-band antenna for 5G communication based on an antenna design with self-decoupling properties is *** antenna is composed of a self-decoupled antenna unit vertically placed on an 30×80 mm2 ground plane and printed on 0.8 mm thick FR-4(ϵr = 4.4, tanδ = 0.02) substrate,and then added a pair of L-shaped coupling feeder structures on this *** shows that the antenna has two operating frequency bands of 3.3-4.2GHz and 4.8-5GHz, and has good transmission and isolation in the above two operating frequency ***,it also has the advantages of small size, self-decoupling,high isolation,simple structure and easy *** antenna can be used as 5G mobile phone communication antenna unit. © 2022 IEEE.

The purpose of domain adaptation is to transfer knowledge learned in the labeled source domain to unlabeled but related target domains without requiring a large number of target domain labels. The latest method of domain adaptation mainly adjusts the distribution of the source and target domains to adapt to the target domain. Despite significant success, when there are significant distribution differences between the source and target domains, the adaptability in the target domain still decreases, which may be due to insufficient exploration of domain specific features leading to domain offset issues. To address this issue, we propose the GSA-NET framework in this article. We designed an adversarial dropout method to improve the generalization performance of the model in the target domain by pushing the decision boundary away from the feature dense region. At the same time, in order to effectively match the distribution of advanced features across domains, we deploy feature adaptation modules before the classification layer, which can significantly reduce domain differences. Our experiments on two cross domain benchmarks, Office Home and Office-31, have shown that the proposed method is significantly superior to existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Developing a clean and efficient Integrated Energy System (IES) is critical to optimizing the use of renewable energy sources and harnessing new forms of energy to achieve the country’s 2030 carbon peak and 2060 carbon neutrality targets. Existing natural gas pipelines in China facilitate the transport of hydrogen blended into the natural gas network and offer the possibility of storing hydrogen blended into natural gas pipelines. This paper proposes an optimal integrated energy dispatch strategy based on electricity-gas-hydrogen-heat-cooling demand, taking into account carbon emissions and economic efficiency, where renewable energy is no longer connected to the grid or stored in batteries, but converted to hydrogen mixed into the natural gas grid for transport and storage, with the economic objective of minimizing the total IES operating cost, the wind and light abandonment cost and the carbon emission cost. The CPLEX solver is used to solve the problem, and the feasibility of the proposed model is verified by simulation results, which promotes the consumption of renewable and clean energy.

A novel miniaturized l-band filter with great stopband characteristics using interdigitated coupled lines CRLH-TL structure

This paper proposes a novel bandpass filter for L-band based on CRLH TL, which is mainly formed by coupling a high-pass characteristic module with a low-pass characteristic module in a cascade. The high-pass module consists of an interdigitated coupled line and a grounding via, owning to its singular characteristics, which the miniaturization is realized. The low-pass module is composed of a C-type resonator with high-low impedance lines, which can realize great sideband attenuation characteristics. To further improve its out-of-band rejection characteristics, a complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR) defective ground structure with single-pole attenuation characteristics is loaded, and a transmission zero is introduced at 2.5f0 out-of-band. The test results are in great agreement with the simulation ones, and the dimensions are only 0.20λg * 0.22λg. Compared with other similar types, the filter proposed in this paper has miniaturization, great passband selection characteristics, stopband characteristics, and the advantage of low insertion loss. © 2021, Electromagnetics Academy. Reconfigurable intelligent Surface (RIS) has become an enabling technology for economically and efficiently realizing intelligent and reconfigurable wireless communication environments. Previous positioning research based on RIS has mainly focused on single RIS without considering the improvement in positioning accuracy brought by double RIS, thus failing to reveal the full potential of a double RIS-assisted wireless communication system. This paper investigates a target positioning system assisted by double RIS, where double RIS is used to enhance communication between users and the receiver. Firstly, the reception signal model based on the collaborative effect of double RIS is constructed, and then we formulate the target positioning problem based on this model, aiming to obtain the optimal target signal while minimizing system noise. Moreover, to verify the effectiveness of the localization system with double RIS assistance, we also configured a scenario of a single RIS localization system for comparative analysis. Simulation results indicate that the proposed target positioning method based on double RIS exhibits certain superiority in improving system positioning performance compared to single RIS.

Community microgrid is a kind of new power system that acts as an intermediary between community consumers and the grid, playing an important role in realising distributed autonomy and improving the power supply level. To achieve optimal power dispatch in community microgrid, this paper establishes a Stackelberg game model with the community microgrid operator (CMO) as the leader and the consumers aggregator as the follower, and combines the internal pricing method with the demand response mechanism. The paper uses a combination of genetic algorithm and solver to solve the Stackelberg game model to maximise the interests of all parties. Simulation results show that the model can secure the interests of each game subject, balance power supply and demand, and promote peak shaving and valley filling of electrical loads.

In faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) transmission over frequency-selective fading channels, it is essential to eliminate both FTN-induced intersymbol-interference (ISI) (FTN-ISI) and channel-induced ISI (channel-ISI). Although frequency domain equalization (FDE) techniques can mitigate channel-ISI at the receiver, their performance is often inadequate. In contrast, cyclic prefix/suffix (CPS)-G-to-minus-half (GTMH) precoding shows superior effectiveness in mitigating channel-ISI. However, existing CPS-GTMH precoding techniques assume the transmitter obtains perfect channel state information (CSI) estimated at the receiver. This is impractical due to the high latency in satellite communication links. Therefore, this paper explores precoding for FTN signaling under imperfect CSI (ICSI) and proposes CPS-minimum mean squared error (MMSE) and linear pre-equalization (LPE)-MMSE precoding schemes based on the MMSE criterion. Both schemes employ a cyclic prefix to transform the channel-ISI matrix into the circular matrix, thereby avoiding inter-block interference. The primary distinction is that CPS-MMSE precoding handles FTN-ISI and channel-ISI together using MMSE precoding. In contrast, LPE-MMSE precoding addresses FTN-ISI with LPE and channel-ISI with MMSE precoding separately. Simulation results indicate that CPS-MMSE and LPE-MMSE precodings outperform CPS-FDE and LPE-FDE in mitigating channel-ISI when the estimation error is 0.005 and 0.01. For instance, with a packing ratio of 0.9, a roll-off factor of 0.25, and an estimation error of 0.01, CPS-MMSE and LPE-MMSE precodings achieve bit error rate (BER) gains of approximately 0.8 dB and 1 dB at a BER of 1e4, respectively. However, when the estimation error increases to 0.1, the BER performance of CPS-FDE and LPE-FDE surpasses that of the CPS-MMSE and LPE-MMSE precodings, indicating the proposed precoding schemes' unsuitability for larger channel estimation errors.

With continuous advancements in artificial intelligence(AI), automatic piano-playing robots have become subjects of cross-disciplinary interest. However, in most studies, these robots served merely as objects of observation with limited user engagement or interaction. To address this issue, we propose a user-friendly and innovative interaction system based on the principles of greedy algorithms. This system features three modules: score management, performance control, and keyboard interactions. Upon importing a custom score or playing a note via an external device, the system performs on a virtual piano in line with user inputs. This system has been successfully integrated into our dexterous manipulator-based piano-playing device, which significantly enhances user interactions.
