To overcome image degradation under the conditions of haze,and fog,a method using conditional generative adversarial defogging algorithm based on polarization characteristic is *** original images with different polarization angles were obtained from the original image,and then the polarization images were characterized using Stokes *** the relationship between Stokes vector and polarization image,each polarization image with different angles is input into the same network to extract *** the same time,the enhanced network is used to extract the characteristics of the fog area in the polarization image,and the polarization information is extracted by layer jump connection,which is fused with the image features of different *** constructing the loss function and obtaining the optimal solution,the fog-free image is finally *** results show that a clear image can be reconstructed in fog situations by using conditional generative adversarial network-based on polarization characteristics,and the structural similarity is improved by about 10%,the peak signal to noise ratio is increased by about 0.5.

Alignment-free RGB-Thermal (RGB-T) salient object detection (SOD) aims to achieve robust performance in complex scenes by directly leveraging the complementary information from unaligned visible-thermal image pairs, without requiring manual alignment. However, the labor-intensive process of collecting and annotating image pairs limits the scale of existing benchmarks, hindering the advancement of alignment-free RGB-T SOD. In this paper, we construct a large-scale and high-diversity unaligned RGB-T SOD dataset named UVT20K, comprising 20,000 image pairs, 407 scenes, and 1256 object categories. All samples are collected from real-world scenarios with various challenges, such as low illumination, image clutter, complex salient objects, and so on. To support the exploration for further research, each sample in UVT20K is annotated with a comprehensive set of ground truths, including saliency masks, scribbles, boundaries, and challenge attributes. In addition, we propose a Progressive Correlation Network (PCNet), which models inter- and intra-modal correlations on the basis of explicit alignment to achieve accurate predictions in unaligned image pairs. Extensive experiments conducted on two unaligned three weakly aligned three aligned datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. Depression has become a major global public health challenge. Social media texts reflect users’ emotional and psychological states, providing a valuable data source for depression detection through natural language analysis. However, current research still faces limitations in modeling the collaborative representation of user texts and dynamic behaviors. To address this, we propose MVDep, a model that integrates multi-view features to enhance social text representation for depression detection. Specifically, we enhance text representation by investigating depression from multi-view, including social media texts, user profiles, and social behaviors, enabling more effective depression detection. First, we conduct initial filtering of social media texts using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), and then screen out the uncertain domain of data samples based on the three-way decision (3WD). Next, we extract quantified user profiles and social behavioral features to enhance the representation of depression tendencies for uncertain domain samples. Finally, we fuse the multi-view features derived from social media texts, user profiles and social behaviors, improving the model’s ability to detect depression. We evaluate our model on the SWDD dataset, demonstrating its superiority over state-of-the-art baseline models in depression detection tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

We propose the antenna developments from nature to engineering, which is a natural method to train student for designing antenna. Also, the interest of the students can be stimulated. Using this method, the students can get how to design antennas and will be interested on the antenna engineering. Then, young talents can be brought up. By using this strategy, a nature Logo is introduced and cooperated with the proposed talent training method to get new antennas. Also, the results for the developed antenna is also simulated and analyzed based on the theory from the text book. In the future, the proposed talents training techniques or method can also be expanded to other different research directions. © 2022 IEEE.

SSFam: Scribble Supervised Salient Object Detection Family

Scribble supervised salient object detection (SSSOD) constructs segmentation ability of attractive objects from surroundings under the supervision of sparse scribble labels. For the better segmentation, depth and thermal infrared modalities serve as the supplement to RGB images in the complex scenes. Existing methods specifically design various feature extraction and multi-modal fusion strategies for RGB, RGB-Depth, RGB-Thermal, and Visual-Depth-Thermal image input respectively, leading to similar model flood. As the recently proposed Segment Anything Model (SAM) possesses extraordinary segmentation and prompt interactive capability, we propose an SSSOD family based on SAM, named SSFam, for the combination input with different modalities. Firstly, different modal-aware modulators are designed to attain modal-specific knowledge which cooperates with modal-agnostic information extracted from the frozen SAM encoder for the better feature ensemble. Secondly, a siamese decoder is tailored to bridge the gap between the training with scribble prompt and the testing with no prompt for the stronger decoding ability. Our model demonstrates the remarkable performance among combinations of different modalities and refreshes the highest level of scribble supervised methods and comes close to the ones of fully supervised methods. https://***/liuzywen/SSFam Copyright © 2024, The Authors. A Decentralized Threshold Credential Management with Fine-Grained Authentication for VANETs

In Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), vehicles must authenticate their identities before accessing services. However, existing authentication schemes based on anonymous credentials still face single-point failure in multi-authority scenarios. In addition, in traditional anonymous credential schemes, the public key of credential authority is used directly to verify the credential, which may increase the risk of vehicle privacy being misused. To address these issues, we propose a decentralized threshold credential management system with fine-grained authentication for VANETs. The decentralized credential management architecture is proposed for VANETs with multiple credential authorities, each credential authority consists of multiple credential managers who issue credentials using the threshold mechanism, effectively solving the single-point failure. Based on this architecture, we design a fine grained, privacy-preserving authentication scheme that allows vehicles to autonomously perform selective attribute disclosure, credential aggregation, and randomization before requesting verification from the Cloud Service Provider, thereby achieving a balance between privacy preservation and authentication efficiency. The security proofs and analysis show that our scheme satisfies the target security properties. Performance evaluations indicate that our scheme enables efficient, flexible credential management and authentication in VANETs while ensuring privacy preservation. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) aims to transfer the knowledge learned from the labeled source domain to the unlabeled target domain. Traditional methods often focus on minimizing the distribution gap between feature spaces of the two domains to achieve domain-invariant representations. However, this approach may not fully leverage the inherent class-specific information and could adversely affect decision boundaries in the target domain. In this paper, we introduce an adversarial contrastive self-training framework. The model integrates both intra-class and inter-class domain differences for better alignment between the source and target domains. Initially, we augment target domain samples using Fourier transformations, obtaining reliable samples and pseudo-labels through self-training. We then employ intra-domain contrastive learning on the reliable samples and pseudo-labels, alongside labeled source domain samples, to achieve intra-domain compactness. Finally, we utilize adversarial learning to achieve global alignment. This comprehensive approach ensures improved adaptation performance while also addressing the limitations of previous methods.

Community detection is a trendy area in research on complex network analysis and has a wide range of real-world applications, like advertising. As people become increasingly concerned about privacy, protecting participants’ privacy in distributed community detection has become a new challenge. When applied to not identically and independently distributed (Non-IID) data, most federated graph algorithms suffer from the weight divergence problem caused by diversified training of local and global models, resulting in accuracy degradation. Furthermore, the privacy protection approaches based on anonymization, such as differential privacy (DP), and cryptography, such as homomorphic encryption (HE), incur accuracy loss and high time consumption, respectively. In this paper, we propose a globally consistent vertical federated graph autoencoder (GCVFGAE) algorithm, which builds a globally consistent model among the coordinator and all participants to solve the Non-IID graph data problem. As well, an attribute blinding strategy based on security aggregation is developed to protect the network privacy of each participant without losing accuracy. Both real-world and artificial networks’ experiments show that our algorithm reaches higher accuracy than the existing vertical federated graph neural networks (GNNs) and the simple distributed graph autoencoder without federated learning and detects communities identical to those found by the standard graph autoencoder (GAE). © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Federated graph learning has been widely used in distributed graph machine learning tasks. The data distribution of existing graph-based federated Spatio-temporal prediction methods is mainly segmented by graph topology. However, in the real-world Spatio-temporal traffic speed prediction task, a location will have data from different devices belonging to different companies. A node may have multi-party information in the real-world distributed traffic speed prediction scenario. The difference in multi-party information leads to the information not being fully utilized. Moreover, the direct transmission of node embedding in the federated learning process may also risk privacy leaks. Using homomorphic encryption and other encryption methods will bring a high computational overhead. Therefore we propose a new distributed privacy-preserving traffic speed prediction algorithm, which uses secure node attribute aggregation strategy(SNAAS) to apply to the multi-party collaborative traffic speed prediction scenario when the graph topology structure is public. The transformational and spatial proximities are important cues for identifying inliers from an appearance based match set because correct matches generally stay close in input images and share similar local transformations. However, most existing approaches only check one type of them or both types consecutively with manually set thresholds, and thus their matching accuracy and flexibility in handling large-scale images are limited. In this paper, we present an efficient clustering based approach to identify match inliers with both proximities simultaneously. It first projects the putative matches into a joint transformational-spatial space, where mismatches tend to scatter all around while correct matches gather together. A mode-seeking process based on joint kernel density estimation is then proposed to obtain significant clusters in the joint space, where each cluster contains matches mapping the same object across images with high accuracy. Moreover, kernel bandwidths for measuring match proximities are adaptively set during density estimation, which enhances its applicability for matching different images. Experiments on three standard datasets show that the proposed approach delivers superior performance on a variety of feature matching tasks, including multi-object matching, duplicate object matching and object retrieval. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.
