The transformational and spatial proximities are important cues for identifying inliers from an appearance based match set because correct matches generally stay close in input images and share similar local transformations. However, most existing approaches only check one type of them or both types consecutively with manually set thresholds, and thus their matching accuracy and flexibility in handling large-scale images are limited. In this paper, we present an efficient clustering based approach to identify match inliers with both proximities simultaneously. It first projects the putative matches into a joint transformational-spatial space, where mismatches tend to scatter all around while correct matches gather together. A mode-seeking process based on joint kernel density estimation is then proposed to obtain significant clusters in the joint space, where each cluster contains matches mapping the same object across images with high accuracy. Moreover, kernel bandwidths for measuring match proximities are adaptively set during density estimation, which enhances its applicability for matching different images. Experiments on three standard datasets show that the proposed approach delivers superior performance on a variety of feature matching tasks, including multi-object matching, duplicate object matching and object retrieval. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Aiming at the problem that ultra-wideband systems are easily interfered by narrowband signals, In this paper, a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter with dual-notch characteristics. This filter is mainly composed of Composition of a multimode resonator (MMR)and a folded dual-mode step-impedance resonator. Paralleling T-shaped SIR stubs in the basic MMR structure realizes the introduction of transmission zeros within the passband. At the same time, a pair of high-impedance stubs are also loaded to extend the upper stopband of the filter, and a folded dual-mode stepped impedance resonator is coupled below the filter to generate dual-notch frequencies. Through the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS for simulation optimization, the simulation results show that the passband of the filter is 3.42~11.21GHz and its notch frequencies are 8.8GHz and 9.5GHz respectively. This paper explores the feasibility and effect of using ECG signals in response to virtual reality(VR) emotional stimuli for personality recognition. Personality represents an individual''s behavior pattern, so it has extensive research significance to identify personality. In the field of personality recognition, there have been researches on the use of physiological signals to recognize personality recently, but there have been no studies on personality recognition in VR scenarios. VR technology has been applied in many fields, and in the field of emotion recognition, the advantage of VR video as emotional arousal material has been proved. We designed the emotional stimulation experiment in VR scene to collect ECG signals, and constructed the personality recognition model. The results showed that the F1 scores of neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness using only ECG were 0.79, 0.80, 0.81, 0.73 and 0.81, respectively, which were much higher than the random level. And we found that in VR scenes, negative emotional stimulation can achieve better personality recognition effect. Our results confirm the feasibility of personality recognition using ECG signals in response to VR emotional stimuli. © 2023 ACM.

Aiming at the inability to reconstruct the frequency and the pattern of the traditional monopole antenna, an ultra-wideband monopole antenna with frequency reconstruction and pattern reconstruction is proposed. The antenna consists of a monopole antenna and a metasurface with a distance H1 between them. Using HFSS simulation software to simulate, the size of the monopole antenna is 30mm×30mm×1.6mm, and the center frequency is 4.3 GHz. The simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth of the antenna when S11 is less than -10 dB is 3.21-13.64 GHz. In this design, the antenna widens the bandwidth while realizing the frequency reconstruction and pattern reconstruction, and basically does not affect other performances. The simulation results are basically consistent with the measured results, indicating that the antenna has good gain and radiation characteristics in the working frequency band, and can be widely used in ultra-wideband communication systems.

Preprocessed GMRES for fast solution of linear equations

The article mainly introduces preprocessing algorithms for solving linear equation systems. This algorithm uses three algorithms as inner iterations, namely RPCG algorithm, ADI algorithm, and Kaczmarz algorithm. Then, it uses BA-GMRES as an outer iteration to solve the linear equation system. These three algorithms can indirectly generate preprocessing matrices, which are used for solving equation systems. In addition, we provide corresponding convergence analysis and numerical examples. Through numerical examples, we demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of these preprocessing methods. Furthermore, in the Kaczmarz algorithm, we introduce both constant step size and adaptive step size, and extend the parameter range of the Kaczmarz algorithm to α ∈ (0, ∞). We also study the solution rate of linear equation systems using different step sizes. Numerical examples show that both constant step size and adaptive step size have higher solution efficiency than the solving algorithm without preprocessing. © 2024, CC BY.

The multi-section coupled transmission line is equivalent to the cascade of multi-section ladder impedance filters, which provides a basis for the research of broadband directional couplers and meets the needs of microwave systems. Using this method, a multi-section -15 dB stripline directional coupler was designed in the application frequency range of 0.7-3.7 GHz, and the directional coupler was improved by loading the branch compensation capacitor. And through the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS for simulation optimization. The simulation results show that the coupling degree of the coupler is about -15 dB in 0.7-3.7 GHz, the return loss is greater than 20 dB and the isolation is greater than 30 dB, the insertion loss is less than 0.33 dB, the in-band fluctuation is less than 1 dB, and the physical size is 38mm $\times 6$ mm, which meets the design requirements of the -15 dB coupler.

To effectively improve the frequency selectivity of the filter, a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filter with miniaturization and out-of-band rejection was designed. To achieve the desired filter response, symmetrical C-shaped resonators are etched on the top and bottom layers of the SIW filter. The C-shaped resonator etched on the top layer of SIW achieves miniaturization and filtering characteristics. In order to improve the frequency response, a two-stage SIW filter and a SIW filter with coupled gap-ring defected ground structure (CGRDGS) are proposed, and an equivalent circuit is given to verify the transmission response. Two sparse adaptive filtering (AF) algorithms based on Andrew's sine estimator (ASE) are presented to achieve improved performance for identifying sparse systems, where the ASE is derived within the least-square framework. Furthermore, zero-attracting (ZA) scheme is used in ASE to construct ZA-ASE and its re-weighting form (RZA-ASE) to combat non-Gaussian noises and use the sparse characteristics of the system. Their performance is investigated via simulations and compared with the least-mean square (LMS) and the maximum correntropy criterion (MCC) algorithms to show their superior performance. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to obtain an absorber with high absorption efficiency and wide absorption band, a metamaterial structure by Metal-ENZ-Insulator-Metal (MEIM) is designed, and its absorption in the 130-230 THz band is calculated using the simulation software frequency-domain solver. By rotating the upper metal layer and the lower hollow layer, the simulation results can be slightly disturbed. In addition, the introduction of the epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) media will also affect the bandwidth and absorption of the absorber. Therefore, the high absorption and wide bandwidth of the absorber are achieved by the size of the structure, the rotation angle of the corresponding structure,and the clever application of the ITO layer. © 2022 IEEE.

Integrated photonic gadgets play a key function in lots of fields. The process of designing silicon optical devices mostly relies on experience to manually adjust the subtle parameters, which is laborious and ineffective. The proposed inverse design algorithms can simplify the design process of silicon optical devices, improve the design efficiency, and realize multifunctional compact devices. In this paper, two inverse design based methods are proposed to design terahertz band wavelength division multiplexer(WDM). One is based on topology optimization to design a 4-channel ultra-wideband WDM and the other employs a direct binary search technique to create a 3-channel ultra-wideband terahertz WDM, both of which have high transmission, low interference and high integration. Multifunctional photonics devices are predicted to be increasingly used in modern photonic integrated circuits due to these advantages. © 2022 IEEE.
