In the intricate dance of multi-agent systems, achieving average consensus is not just vital–it is the backbone of their functionality. In conventional average consensus algorithms, all agents reach an agreement by individual calculations and sharing information with their respective neighbors. Nevertheless, the information interactions that occur in the communication network may make sensitive information be revealed. In this paper, we develop a new privacy-preserving average consensus method on unbalanced directed networks. Specifically, we ensure privacy preservation by carefully embedding randomness in mixing weights to confuse communications and introducing an extra auxiliary parameter to mask the state-updated rule in initial several iterations. In parallel, we exploit the intrinsic robustness of consensus dynamics to guarantee that the average consensus is precisely achieved. Theoretical results demonstrate that the designed algorithms can converge linearly to the exact average consensus value and can guarantee privacy preservation of agents against both honest-but-curious and eavesdropping attacks. © 2023, CC BY.

Preserving details and avoiding high computational costs are the two main challenges for the High-Resolution Salient Object Detection (HRSOD) task. In this paper, we propose a two-stage HRSOD model from the perspective of evolution and succession, including an evolution stage with Low-resolution Location Model (LrLM) and a succession stage with High-resolution Refinement Model (HrRM). The evolution stage achieves detail-preserving salient objects localization on the low-resolution image through the evolution mechanisms on supervision and feature; the succession stage utilizes the shallow high-resolution features to complement and enhance the features inherited from the first stage in a lightweight manner and generate the final high-resolution saliency prediction. Besides, a new metric named Boundary-Detail-aware Mean Absolute Error (MAEBD) is designed to evaluate the ability to detect details in high-resolution scenes. Extensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate that our network achieves superior performance at real-time speed (49 FPS) compared to state-of-the-art methods. Crystalline defects play a critical role in determining the properties of crystalline solids, underscoring the need for accurate computational methods to study them. Lattice deformation in dislocation simulations, which involves changes in atomic positions, can be described either microscopically by specific atomic configurations or macroscopically by continuum elasticity, each with inherent limitations. The complex amplitude expansion of the phase field crystal (APFC) model provides a mesoscopic approach that bridges these scales. In this paper, we introduce a Fourier pseudospectral method for efficiently solving the APFC model in the context of crystalline defect simulations. This study marks the first application of the Fourier pseudospectral method to the APFC model. The method fully exploits the system’s periodicity and facilitates the implementation of periodic boundary conditions, thanks to its high accuracy and computational efficiency. Numerical experiments conducted on two-dimensional triangular lattices and three-dimensional body-centered cubic lattices for edge dislocation geometry optimization have produced strain field images that align well with by continuum elasticity predictions. The findings demonstrate the potential of the APFC model to accurately capture the complex strain fields associated with dislocations at the mesoscopic scales, a key step toward modeling more intricate crystalline defect structures and dynamics. © 2024, CC BY.

A high-order spatial filtering-symplectic finite difference time domain (SF-SFDTD) scheme with controllable stability condition is proposed to solve the time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE). Firstly, the higher-order symplectic framework for the discretization of Schrödinger equation is described, and then the spatial filtering method is carried out to extend the stability of the standard SFDTD method. Finally, a numerical example is given to evaluate the correctness of the SF-SFDTD method in numerical solving Schrödinger equation.

Garbage classification is an essential work in daily life. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), we have begun to use object detection to achieve garbage classification. However, the stacking and occlusion of garbage often make the detection performance unsatisfactory. In this paper, YOLOv5 algorithm is used for garbage detection and classification. YOLOv5 has three detection heads, which can detect objects at multiple scales. At the same time, Mosaic and Coarse Dropout image augmentation techniques are used to process our private data set of garbage, which improves the diversity of images. In this way, the target classification accuracy of the detection model can reach 75.7%, which is significantly improved compared with 69.9% without data augmentation. This paper provides a new technical support for the scene classification of stacked garbage based on deep learning.

A dynamic multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on Niche prediction strategy

In reality, many multi-objective optimization problems are dynamic. The Pareto optimal front (PF) or Pareto optimal solution (PS) of these dynamic multi-objective problems (DMOPs) changes as the environment change. Therefore, solving such problems requires an optimization algorithm that can quickly track the PF or PS after an environment change. Prediction-based response mechanism is a common method used to deal with environmental changes, which is commonly known as center point-based prediction. However, if the predicted direction of the center point is inaccurate, the predicted population will be biased towards one side. In this paper, we propose a niche prediction strategy based on center and boundary points (PCPB) to solve the dynamic multi-objective optimization problems, which consists of three steps. After environmental changes are detected, the first step is to divide the niche, dividing different individuals in the PS into different niche populations. The second step is to independently predict different niches, and select individuals with good convergence and distribution in the niche to predict the individuals that will produce the next generation. Finally, some different individuals are randomly generated in the next possible PS area to ensure the diversity of the population. To verify whether our proposed strategy is effective and competitive, PCPB was compared with five state-of-the-art strategies. The experimental results show that PCPB performed competitively in solving dynamic multi-objective optimization problems, which proves that our algorithm has good competitiveness. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.

The emergence of Segment Routing(SR)provides a novel routing paradigm that uses a routing technique called source packet *** SR architecture,the paths that the packets choose to route on are indicated at the ingress *** with shortest-path-based routing in traditional distributed routing protocols,SR can realize a flexible routing by implementing an arbitrary flow splitting at the ingress *** the advantages of SR,it may be difficult to update the existing IP network to a full SR deployed network,for economical and technical *** partial of the traditional IP network to the SR network,thus forming a hybrid SR network,is a preferable *** the traffic is dynamically changing in a daily time,in this paper,we propose a Weight Adjustment algorithm WASAR to optimize routing in a dynamic hybrid SR *** algorithm can be divided into three steps:firstly,representative Traffic Matrices(TMs)and the expected TM are obtained from the historical TMs through ultrascalable spectral clustering ***,given the network topology,the initial network weight setting and the expected TM,we can realize the link weight optimization and SR node deployment optimization through a Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)***,we optimize the flow splitting ratios of SR nodes in a centralized online manner under dynamic traffic demands,in order to improve the network *** the evaluation,we exploit historical TMs to test the performance of the obtained routing configuration in *** extensive experimental results validate that our proposed WASAR algorithm has superior performance in reducing Maximum Link Utilization(MLU)under the dynamic traffic.

In the digital era,electronic medical record(EMR)has been a major way for hospitals to store patients’medical *** traditional centralized medical system and semi-trusted cloud storage are difficult to achieve dynamic balance between privacy protection and data *** storage capacity of blockchain is limited and single blockchain schemes have poor scalability and low *** address these issues,we propose a secure and efficient medical data storage and sharing scheme based on double *** our scheme,we encrypt the original EMR and store it in the *** storage blockchain stores the index of the complete EMR,and the shared blockchain stores the index of the shared part of the *** with different attributes can make requests to different blockchains to share different parts according to their own *** experiments,it was found that cloud storage combined with blockchain not only solved the problem of limited storage capacity of blockchain,but also greatly reduced the risk of leakage of the original *** Extraction Signature(CES)combined with the double blockchain technology realized the separation of the privacy part and the shared part of the original *** symmetric encryption technology combined with Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP–ABE)not only ensures the safe storage of data in the cloud,but also achieves the consistency and convenience of data update,avoiding redundant backup of *** analysis and performance analysis verified the feasibility and effectiveness of our scheme.

A novel broadband millimeter-wave(mm-Wave) vertically-integrated Vivaldi antenna with stable gain and good radiation patterns is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna element consists of five substrates. There are two symmetrical metal radiation strips on the top of each substrate. The two adjacent stripes are connected through the metallized via. A coupling-slot on the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) is employed as the feeding structure to these strips. Simulations show that the antenna can have a wider impedance bandwidth of 28%, and a higher gain of 8 dBi. In addition, based on this antenna element, a 2×2 circularly polarized(CP) antenna array is designed to demonstrate that the proposed antenna is a promising candidate for the mm-Wave CP applications. The 2×2 array exhibits an impedance bandwidth of 16.8% and axial ratio(AR) bandwidth of 16.6% with the good right-hand CP radiation patterns.

When we geometrically optimize the metal nanoparticles embedded in the active layer of perovskite, the light absorption capacity of perovskite solar cells has been significantly enhanced. At the same time, we investigate the effect of metal nanoparticles heating on the electrical performance and stability of perovskite solar cells. The research results show that the heat loss of the metal nanoparticles can be effectively reduced by optimizing the geometric parameters of the metal nanoparticles. The temperature of the perovskite active layer is also reduced. The results show that the carrier mobility of the perovskite solar cell increased. The energy conversion efficiency of the perovskite solar cell increased by 38%.
