The objective of infrared and visible image fusion is to generate a fused image that contains rich texture details and salient targets. However, most of the existing fusion methods tend to focus on preserving texture details in visible image and salient targets in infrared image, ignoring the fact that infrared image have richer texture details and better visual effects than visible image under low-light conditions. In other words, differences in information sources under the condition of illumination imbalance is ignored in setting the task goal. In addition, existing network designs usually ignore multimodal information interactions during the coding phase, which may result in loss of information. In this work, we propose a progressive fusion network via contextual texture learning for infrared and visible image, termed as PCTLFusion. To enhance the limited texture information, we design a content and contextual texture learning module (CCTLM) to model the texture and content of both the source images, respectively. Then, an affine transform-based multimodal pre-fusion module (ATMPM) is designed to learn and pre-fuse the complementary and similar enhanced information, which achieves information interaction during encoding. To learn fully feature information using multilayers, we iterate CCTLM and ATMPM three times in the process of model forming. Finally, the fused image is reconstructed by decoding the output of the last ATMPM. Numerous experiments show that our proposed fusion algorithm is superior to the state-of-the-art existing methods in both subjective and objective evaluations. © 2024, The Authors. Anisotropic Infrared Absorption in Monolayer Black Phosphorus Metasurface With/Without Local Oxidative Effect

As one kind of anisotropic two-dimensional (2-D) layered material, the monolayer black phosphorus (BP) has ability to excite the surface plasmon resonance in the infrared spectrum, thus providing sufficient conditions for the strong light-matter interaction, so that some potential applications can be shown in the field of optoelectronics. Based on those physical properties, we design the patterned monolayer BP to achieve extremely high infrared absorption, and meanwhile use the finite element method to model the effects of factors such as n-type doping concentration, dielectric thickness, and angle of incidence light. Moreover, due to the strong anisotropic in-plane properties of monolayer BP, we analyze detailedly the absorption spectra in both the armchair and zigzag directions separately, and then understand that low-angle narrow-band absorption in the zigzag direction could be captured in that structure. The structure could achieve perfect absorption in the zigzag direction at an incidence angle of 89.3° with n-type doping concentration n=3×1013 cm-2 and medium thickness d = 4.6 μm, and the maximum absorption can reach 99.98% with the full width at half peak (FWHM) of only 0.57 μm. Considering the case on surface oxidation, it may occur some possible effects for the perfect absorption, but with our structure, the proposed narrow-band absorption still has wide applications in the sensing and light body monitoring. © 2023, The Authors. Gene regulatory networks (GRNs) are crucial for understanding organismal molecular mechanisms and processes. Construction of GRN in the epithelioma papulosum cyprini (EPC) cells of cyprinid fish by spring viremia of carp virus (SVCV) infection helps understand the immune regulatory mechanisms that enhance the survival capabilities of cyprinid fish. Although many computational methods have been used to infer GRNs, specialized approaches for predicting the GRN of EPC cells following SVCV infection are lacking. In addition, most existing methods focus primarily on gene expression features, neglecting the valuable network structural information in known GRNs. In this study, we propose a novel supervised deep neural network, named MEFFGRN (Matrix Enhancement- and Feature Fusion-based method for Gene Regulatory Network inference), to accurately predict the GRN of EPC cells following SVCV infection. MEFFGRN considers both gene expression data and network structure information of known GRN and introduces a matrix enhancement method to address the sparsity issue of known GRN, extracting richer network structure information. To optimize the benefits of CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) in image processing, gene expression and enhanced GRN data were transformed into histogram images for each gene pair respectively. Subsequently, these histograms were separately fed into CNNs for training to obtain the corresponding gene expression and network structural features. Furthermore, a feature fusion mechanism was introduced to comprehensively integrate the gene expression and network structural features. This integration considers the specificity of each feature and their interactive information, resulting in a more comprehensive and precise feature representation during the fusion process. Experimental results from both real-world and benchmark datasets demonstrate that MEFFGRN achieves competitive performance compared with state-of-the-art computational methods. Furthermore, study

To overcome image degradation under the conditions of haze,and fog,a method using conditional generative adversarial defogging algorithm based on polarization characteristic is *** original images with different polarization angles were obtained from the original image,and then the polarization images were characterized using Stokes *** the relationship between Stokes vector and polarization image,each polarization image with different angles is input into the same network to extract *** the same time,the enhanced network is used to extract the characteristics of the fog area in the polarization image,and the polarization information is extracted by layer jump connection,which is fused with the image features of different *** constructing the loss function and obtaining the optimal solution,the fog-free image is finally *** results show that a clear image can be reconstructed in fog situations by using conditional generative adversarial network-based on polarization characteristics,and the structural similarity is improved by about 10%,the peak signal to noise ratio is increased by about 0.5.

Constrained Squared Sine Derived Adaptive Algorithm: Performance and Analysis

A constrained squared sine derived adaptive (CSSDA) algorithm is proposed in this paper, which provides better steady-state behavior than existing algorithms in impulsive-noise environments. The devised CSSDA is constructed via constructing a constrained cost function on the basis of squared sine functioned system estimate error. Theoretical analysis of the CSSDA is presented and compared with the simulations. The simulation results show that the theoretical analysis agrees well with simulations, helping to verify the effectiveness and correctness of the analysises. Also, the performance of the CSSDA is superior to the recent popular constraint adaptive algorithms for system identifications in a variety of environments with non-Gaussian impulsive-noises. © 2022, The Authors. SwinNet: Swin Transformer Drives Edge-Aware RGB-D and RGB-T Salient Object Detection

Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are good at extracting contexture features within certain receptive fields, while transformers can model the global long-range dependency features. By absorbing the advantage of transformer and the merit of CNN, Swin Transformer shows strong feature representation ability. Based on it, we propose a cross-modality fusion model, SwinNet, for RGB-D and RGB-T salient object detection. It is driven by Swin Transformer to extract the hierarchical features, boosted by attention mechanism to bridge the gap between two modalities, and guided by edge information to sharp the contour of salient object. To be specific, two-stream Swin Transformer encoder first extracts multi-modality features, and then spatial alignment and channel re-calibration module is presented to optimize intra-level cross-modality features. To clarify the fuzzy boundary, edge-guided decoder achieves inter-level cross-modality fusion under the guidance of edge features. The proposed model outperforms the state-of-the-art models on RGB-D and RGB-T datasets, showing that it provides more insight into the cross-modality complementarity ***://***/liuzywen/SwinNet © 2022, CC0.

The Affine-Projection Maximum Asymmetric Correntropy Criterion (APMACC) is constructed, drawing upon the fundamental principles of the maximum asymmetric correntropy criterion and an affine-projection scheme. The APMACC algorithm incorporates the asymmetric Gaussian model as a kernel function within the Affine-Projection (AP) algorithm framework, thereby endowing it with robustness against asymmetrically distributed noise. Furthermore, the bound for step-size is established in the literature. Simulation results demonstrate that the APMACC has fast convergence and low steady-state.

A Decentralized Threshold Credential Management with Fine-Grained Authentication for VANETs

In Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), vehicles must authenticate their identities before accessing services. However, existing authentication schemes based on anonymous credentials still face single-point failure in multi-authority scenarios. In addition, in traditional anonymous credential schemes, the public key of credential authority is used directly to verify the credential, which may increase the risk of vehicle privacy being misused. To address these issues, we propose a decentralized threshold credential management system with fine-grained authentication for VANETs. The decentralized credential management architecture is proposed for VANETs with multiple credential authorities, each credential authority consists of multiple credential managers who issue credentials using the threshold mechanism, effectively solving the single-point failure. Based on this architecture, we design a fine grained, privacy-preserving authentication scheme that allows vehicles to autonomously perform selective attribute disclosure, credential aggregation, and randomization before requesting verification from the Cloud Service Provider, thereby achieving a balance between privacy preservation and authentication efficiency. The security proofs and analysis show that our scheme satisfies the target security properties. Performance evaluations indicate that our scheme enables efficient, flexible credential management and authentication in VANETs while ensuring privacy preservation. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Gathering reliable labeled samples for polarimetric synthetic aperture (PolSAR) image classification is laborious. Moreover, applying a trained classifier to new domains often leads to noticeable performance degradation due to domain disparities. Therefore, this paper proposes the novel complex-valued cross-domain (CD) few-shot learning classification (CCFSLC) method for PolSAR images to address these issues. Firstly, the transferrable knowledge learning module (TKLM) with a complex-valued feature encoder (CVFE) is trained using source data with sufficient labeled samples. Then, the deep few-shot learning module (DFSLM), constructed using the pre-trained CVFE, is trained by episodes in both source and target domains, with only minimal target labeled samples. Meanwhile, the adversarial domain adaptation module (ADAM) is employed to eliminate domain shift. The proposed CCFSLC mainly focuses on exploring discriminative information from raw PolSAR data, while reducing the domain gap to recognize novel categories in unseen domains with only a few annotated samples. Experiments on typical PolSAR datasets validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A new dual-band low-profile quadrifilar-helical antenna (QHA) was presented. The spiral radiation arm of QHA is printed to three circular dielectric plates to reduce the antenna height. In this case, the radiation arm of the lower layer is connected to the feed, and the L-shaped branch is connected to the ground through a 50 ohm resistance. The radiation arm in the middle layer adds branches to realize dual frequency. The upper radiation arm rotates inward and folds, further realizing miniaturization. As a result, the height of QHA is only 20mm. Through CST simulation and optimization, The operating frequency bands of QHA are 1GHz - 1.45GHz and 1.54GHz - 1.74GHz. The beam width of QHA is more than 120°, which is to provide service for satellite navigating systems. The AR for the operation bands are less than 3dB.
