Dynamic monitoring of vegetation coverage changes, especially on a relatively large temporal scale, have important practical significance in urban planning and environmental protection. The objective of this study is to dynamically investigate the urban landscape patterns of vegetation coverage based on remote sensing techniques. Multi-temporal Landsat images of 1990,2000 and 2013 were firstly used to produce three vegetation coverage maps of HefeiCity, AnhuiProvince, China with five grades using the NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) dimidiate pixel model. Subsequently, a total of eight landscape pattern indictors in FRAGSTATS 4.2 were selected to analyze the dynamic characteristics of area, quantity and density for the study area with different vegetation coverage grades. The results showed that(1) the dominant vegetation coverage of 1990, 2000 and 2013 were the high vegetation coverage, the moderate vegetation coverage and the moderate-to-high vegetation coverage, respectively. The acreage of non-vegetation coverage increased by1.89 %, while the high vegetation coverage decreased by 10.48 % from 1990 to2013;(2) the quantity and density of patches decreased by 33.42 % and33.41 % during 1990–2013. Shannon's diversity index and Shannon's evenness index increased from 0.92 in 1990 to 0.97 in 2000, and then declined to 0.96 in2013;and(3) the contagion index had an upward trend and conversely the aggregation index showed no significant changes, but both of them were close to1 during 1990–2013. In comparison with natural in fluences, the primary driving forces causing the changes were ascribed to human factors including the rapid population growth and fast-growing urban areas.

A novel ultra-wideband( UWB) antenna is proposed in this paper,which has a band-notched characteristic for the interference between the UWB applications and the IEEE802.11 a wireless local area network(WLAN) and the Wi MAX /C-band with combination of notched structures. The proposed antenna fed by coplanar waveguide( CPW),with modified U-slots and general U-slot in echelon patch which can be used to reject the frequency 5.15 to 5.825 GHz, 3.3 to 3.6GHz,and 3.7 to 4.2GHz. The simulation results show that the antenna has obvious band-notched characteristics in the notched band which can effectively prevent the interference of these narrow-band communication systems, and also has well radiation characteristics in the whole band.

An effective image tamper localization and self-recovery scheme that uses the rehashing model is proposed in this paper. The aim of the proposed scheme was to reduce the failure rate in detecting image tamper areas and achieve high rates of successful detection. To achieve this aim, the proposed scheme uses a set of hash functions which are called the rehashing model, gained an optimal decreasing collision method to detect tamper areas With an improved and accurate tamper detection rate, the tampered image can be recovered more accurately. The quality of the proposed scheme was tested with gray and color images. The experimental results indicated that the proposed scheme has good performance in locating tamper locations and allows image recovery with an acceptable visual quality up to 50% of the image content tampered. © 2016.

This paper proposes a multi-objective with dynamic topology particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for solving multi-objective problems, named DTPSO. One of the main drawbacks of classical multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is low diversity. To overcome this disadvantage, DTPSO uses two dynamic local best particles to lead the search particles with multiple populations to deal with multiple objectives, and maintains diversity of new found non-dominated solutions via partitioned the searching space into fixed number of cells. The proposed DTPSO is validated through comparisons with other two multi-objective algorithms using established benchmarks and metrics. Simulation results demonstrated that DTPSO shows competitive, if not better, performance as compared to the other algorithms. © 2016, AMSE Press. All rights reserved.

Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology is now recognized as an efficient means of transferring power because having numerous advantages over conventional wired power transfer system. The phase delays, for example induced in the sampling process, the algorithm implementation process, the signal transduction process, etc. are widely found during the implementation of WPT system, which significantly degrade the system performance. Moreover, it would be extremely necessary to implement the Soft-Switching of the converter and the necessary dead time imposed by the drivers should be compatible with the resonant current phase lag control. This paper proposes a Direct Phase Control (DPC) approach, based on Second-Order Generalized Integrator Phase-Locked Loop (SOGI-PLL), to provide accurate phase compensation and stable ZVS operation in the WPT. The DPC determines the phase difference ?θ of WPT, which include the phase difference θ_l between the output voltage and current of the converter and the phase delay θ_(l″)derived from the sampling process. The SOGI-PLL provides the phase of system for adjusting the output voltage frequency of the converter dynamically. Experimental results convincingly demonstrate that with the proposed method the phase delay can be compensated accurately and the ZVS operation can be achieved simultaneously.

The almost blank subframe (ABS) has been studied in 3GPP as a way to mitigate downlink interference experienced by cell range expansion (CRE) user equipments (UEs). However, the throughput of CRE UEs highly depends on the ratios of ABS which are statically configured in many situations. The coordinated multi-point (CoMP) is one of the key solutions standardized in LTE-A which can be implemented in CRE with ABS to exploit the abundant spatial resources. And distributed cell selection could help guarantee the UEs' performance under different range expansion biases. In this paper, a distributed CoMP method for CRE with ABS is proposed in heterogeneous networks. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm provides considerable performance gains in the spectrum efficiency with different bias and users settings.

Based on fisher ratio class separability measure, we propose two types of posterior probability support vector machines (PPSVMs) using binary tree structure. The first one is a some-against-rest binary tree of PPSVM classifiers (SBT), for which some classes as a cluster are divided from the rest classes at each non-leaf node. To determine the two clusters, we use the Fisher ratio separability measure. Accordingly, the second proposed method termed one-against-rest binary tree of PPSVMs (OBT), we separate only one class with the largest separability measure from the rest classes at each non-leaf node. Then, the procedures of both SBT and OBT are provided. Finally, we consider the problem of human action recognition based on depth maps adopting both proposed approaches. Simulation results indicate both methods gain higher classifying accuracy than those of canonical multi-class SVMs and PPSVMs. Besides, the decision complexity of the proposed SBT and OBT are reduced because they use the posterior probability and the Fisher ratio separability measure.

Delay Tolerant Networks(DTNs) is a mobile wireless network, in which it is difficult to establish end-to-end paths. Meanwhile, the nodes transmit message copies randomly,resulting in a high overhead of message propagation. In this paper, a Transfer Utility of Node Spray and Wait(TUoN-SNW)routing is proposed to forward the message copies dynamically,which avoid randomness of Spray and Wait routing protocol when message copies are forwarded. And in order to reduce the overhead, a Based on Transfer Utility of Node’s Buffer Scheduling Strategy(BTUoN-BSP) is also applied. Simulation results show that compared with the Spray and Wait(SNW)routing, the algorithms could not only improve the delivery rate but also reduce the overhead of network obviously.

Cloud removal of remote sensing image based on multi-output support vector regression

Removal of cloud cover on the satellite remote sensing image can effectively improve the availability of remote sensing images. For thin cloud cover, support vector value contourlet transform is used to achieve multi-scale decomposition of the area of thin cloud cover on remote sensing images. Through enhancing coefficients of high frequency and suppressing coefficients of low frequency, the thin cloud is removed. For thick cloud cover, if the areas of thick cloud cover on multi-source or multi-temporal remote sensing images do not overlap, the multi-output support vector regression learning method is used to remove this kind of thick clouds. If the thick cloud cover areas overlap, by using the multi-output learning of the surrounding areas to predict the surface features of the overlapped thick cloud cover areas, this kind of thick cloud is removed. Experimental results show that the proposed cloud removal method can effectively solve the problems of the cloud overlapping and radiation difference among multi-source images. The cloud removal image is clear and smooth.

A full-rate distributed transmission scheme for two-way multi-antenna wireless cooperative relay networks

A full-rate distributed transmission scheme for two-way multi-antenna wireless cooperative relay networks is proposed in this paper, which is suitable for the universal bidirectional relay communication model that two source terminals and all relays are equipped with multiple antennas. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) ways are adopted to complete all information transmissions among different nodes. One whole bidirectional data exchange and transmission process between both source terminals mainly includes two stages. In the first stage, the symbols to be transmitted are jointly coded appropriately at two source terminals during several time slots on each sub-carrier, and then broadcasted to all relay nodes respectively. In the second stage, each OFDM modulation symbol is cyclically delayed with proper cyclic delay value at each relay in time domain. In the amplification and forwarding (AF) process, the operated signals at all relays are transmitted to both source terminals successively in time division (TD) ways, only those antennas performing cooperative relay transmissions at each relay node work together during several proper AF time slots. According to the coding and forwarding rules, one source terminal can obtain the original data from the other terminal after eliminating self-interferences. Finally, the proposed scheme can realize full-rate transmissions with low coding and detection complexity, which is applicable to the general bidirectional relay communication case, the coding process is simple and can be extended to design similar relay schemes easily. Simulation results verify the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
