Aiming at the k-winners-take-all(kWTA)operation,this paper proposes a gradient-based differential kWTA(GDk WTA)*** obtaining the network,theorems and related proofs are provided to guarantee the exponential convergence and noise resistance of the proposed GD-kWTA ***,numerical simulations are conducted to substantiate the preferable performance of the proposed network as compared with the traditional ***,the GD-k WTA network,backed with a consensus filter,is utilized as a robust control scheme for modeling the competition behavior in the multi-robot coordination,thereby further demonstrating its effectiveness and feasibility.

Technological innovation is becoming one of the critical factors in promoting social development all over the world. The vigorous development of patent applications in recent years provides an opportunity to reveal the inherent laws of innovation, but it also puts forward higher requirements for patent mining technology. An essential step in patent text mining is to build a technical portrait for each patent, that is, to identify the technical phrases involved, which can summarize and represent the patent from a technical perspective. Previous technical phrase extraction methods thoroughly used technical phrases' characteristics and the relationship between technical phrases. Regarding our observations, the relationship between patent texts and technical phrases is also essential. Specifically, critical technical phrases are more relevant to the patent text and can be discovered by the attention mechanism. Motivated by this, we propose an unsupervised technical phrase extraction method based on the attention mechanism named UTESC. Self-attention captures the importance of technical phrases in sentences, and cross-attention captures the relevance between technical phrases and patents. Extensive experiments and algorithm comparisons on patent datasets have proven the effectiveness of our algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

ADHD diagnosis guided by functional brain networks combined with domain knowledge

Utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to model functional brain networks (FBNs) is increasingly prominent in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) research, revealing neural impact and mechanisms through the exploration of activated brain regions. However, current FBNs-based methods face two major challenges. The primary challenge stems from the limitations of existing modeling methods in accurately capturing both regional correlations and long-distance dependencies (LDDs) within the dynamic brain, thereby affecting the diagnostic accuracy of FBNs as biomarkers. Additionally, limited sample size and class imbalance also pose a challenge to the learning performance of the model. To address the issues, we propose an automated diagnostic framework, which integrates modeling, multimodal fusion, and classification into a unified process. It aims to extract representative FBNs and efficiently incorporate domain knowledge to guide ADHD classification. Our work mainly includes three-fold: 1) A multi-head attention-based region-enhancement module (MAREM) is designed to simultaneously capture regional correlations and LDDs across the entire sequence of brain activity, which facilitates the construction of representative FBNs. 2) The multimodal supplementary learning module (MSLM) is proposed to integrate domain knowledge from phenotype data with FBNs from neuroimaging data, achieving information complementarity and alleviating the problems of insufficient medical data and unbalanced sample categories. 3) An ADHD automatic diagnosis framework guided by FBNs and domain knowledge (ADF-FAD) is proposed to help doctors make more accurate decisions, which is applied to the ADHD-200 dataset to confirm its effectiveness. The results indicate that the FBNs extracted by MAREM perform well in modeling and classification. Math word problem (MWP) represents a critical research area within reading comprehension, where accurate comprehension of math problem text is crucial for generating math expressions. However, current approaches still grapple with unresolved challenges in grasping the sensitivity of math problem text and delineating distinct roles across various clause types, and enhancing numerical representation. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Numerical Magnitude Aware Multi-Channel Hierarchical Encoding Network (NMA-MHEA) for math expression generation. Firstly, NMA-MHEA implements a multi-channel hierarchical context encoding module to learn context representations at three different channels: intra-clause channel, inter-clause channel, and context-question interaction channel. NMA-MHEA constructs hierarchical constituent-dependency graphs for different levels of sentences and employs a Hierarchical Graph Attention Neural Network (HGAT) to learn syntactic and semantic information within these graphs at the intra-clause and inter-clause channels. NMA-MHEA then refines context clauses using question information at the context-question interaction channel. Secondly, NMA-MHEA designs a number encoding module to enhance the relative magnitude information among numerical values and type information of numerical values. Experimental results on two public benchmark datasets demonstrate that NMA-MHEA outperforms other state-of-the-art models. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Data in the real world is often not static but generated and processed in streams, such as real-time adjustment of device setting parameters and real-time GPS positioning data. Feature streams means the number of samples is fixed, and their features are generated and arrive individually over time. A significant challenge of learning from online streaming data is a phenomenon known as concept evolution, that the concept of the data may change over time. In the streaming feature scenario, we define meta-features as univariate statistics describing data distribution and use meta-features to capture the data distribution and statistical properties of concepts. Therefore, an efficient Meta-Feature-based Concept Evolution Detection framework on Feature Streams (MF-CED-FS) is proposed, which consists of a sliding window, meta-feature vector similarity discrimination, and a concept detection method based on a weighted bipartite graph. Extensive experiments on real-world high-dimensional datasets verify the effectiveness of MF-CED-FS. © 2023 IEEE.

Dunhuang culture is a treasure house of human history and culture. As an integral part of Dunhuang culture, Dunhuang dance is famous for its unique national characteristics and artistic characteristics. In the form of Dunhuang dance, instrumental music and props are used to greatly enrich the stage expression, forming a unique dance form of "holding music while dancing, dancing with instruments". However, the phenomenon of homogenization of instrumental props occurs frequently, which hinders the overall presentation effect and beauty of Dunhuang dance. The development based on the generative diffusion model provides new ideas for the design of Dunhuang dance instrumental props. First, the role played by musical instruments and props in the presentation of Dunhuang dance art was sorted out, and the Dunhuang dance instrumental props were digitally collected and processed, and a special data set was constructed. Secondly, based on the recognition of related instruments, a diffusion model instrumental prop image generation that can be used in the Chinese context is trained. Experimental results show that the instrumental props generated by this method not only conform to realistic logic but also have strong applicability. © 2024 SPIE.

In this paper, a broadband 5G MIMO mobile antenna with a shared radiator is proposed. The working band range is 3.3-6.0GHz, covering n77, n78, n79 and WLAN 5G working bands, which can meet a large number of application scenarios of 5G mobile phones. In addition, the antenna is applied to self-decoupling, defect ground, direction diversity and other technologies and principles in the decoupling way, without the use of complex decoupling structure, to ensure that its structure is simple and easy to process, small size is suitable for today's 5G mobile phones. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

A novel millimeter wave sensing antenna array is proposed for application in miniature detection and sensing devices suitable for operating in multiple scenarios, e.g., collecting in the face of video and infrared, and other device materials in complex electromagnetic environments to achieve delightful sensing results. The proposed antenna array is designed to work at 30 GHz which is considered to integrate the optical devices and millimeter radar together by using a number of holes in the millimeter antenna array. Two different excitation modes are considered in the constructed design, where many holes are installed in the millimeter array, which aims to integrate the optical imaging cameras. In this design, the presented array serves as a radar to detect and get sensing results. Since the optical components are not metal and have a little effect on the performance of the antenna array, we use the holes to model the optical cameras to investigate the performance of the radiation patterns and impedance bandwidth. © 2023 ACES.

The paper presents a novel circular polarization(CP) antenna loading with a parasitic ring metal strip, which is designed for global positioning system (GPS) L1 band applications. The antenna consists of a defected ground plane with four arc-slots and a circular slot, a dielectric substrate, a parasitic ring metal strip, and a radiating patch (RP) with a arc-slot. By rotating the parasitic ring metal strip to opening slot on the RP, the antenna can be transformed from left-handed circular polarization (LHCP) to right-handed circular polarization (RHCP). The size of the antenna can be reduced by using slots on the ground. The simulation and optimization results show that impedance bandwidth of the L/RHCP antenna is over 100 MHz, and the axial ratio bandwidth is over 20 MHz. © 2023 ACES.
