Diffusion models are powerful generative models, and this capability can also be applied to discrimination. The inner activations of a pre-trained diffusion model can serve as features for discriminative tasks, namely, diffusion feature. We discover that diffusion feature has been hindered by a hidden yet universal phenomenon that we call content shift. To be specific, there are content differences between features and the input image, such as the exact shape of a certain object. We locate the cause of content shift as one inherent characteristic of diffusion models, which suggests the broad existence of this phenomenon in diffusion feature. Further empirical study also indicates that its negative impact is not negligible even when content shift is not visually perceivable. Hence, we propose to suppress content shift to enhance the overall quality of diffusion features. Specifically, content shift is related to the information drift during the process of recovering an image from the noisy input, pointing out the possibility of turning off-the-shelf generation techniques into tools for content shift suppression. We further propose a practical guideline named GATE to efficiently evaluate the potential benefit of a technique and provide an implementation of our methodology. Despite the simplicity, the proposed approach has achieved superior results on various tasks and datasets, validating its potential as a generic booster for diffusion features. THREE-PRECISION ITERATIVE REFINEMENT WITH PARAMETER REGULARIZATION AND PREDICTION FOR SOLVING LARGE SPARSE LINEAR SYSTEMS

This study presents a novel mixed-precision iterative refinement algorithm, GADI-IR, within the general alternating-direction implicit (GADI) framework, designed for efficiently solving large-scale sparse linear systems. By employing low-precision arithmetic, particularly half-precision (FP16), for computationally intensive inner iterations, the method achieves substantial acceleration while maintaining high numerical accuracy. key challenges such as overflow in half-precision and convergence issues for low precision are addressed through careful backward error analysis and the application of a regularization parameter α. Furthermore, the integration of low-precision arithmetic into the parameter prediction process, using Gaussian Process Regression (GPR), significantly reduces computational time without degrading performance. The method is particularly effective for large-scale linear systems arising from discretized partial differential equations and other high-dimensional problems, where both accuracy and efficiency are critical. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the use of mixed-precision strategies not only accelerates computation but also ensures robust convergence, making the approach advantageous for various applications. The results highlight the potential of leveraging lower-precision arithmetic to achieve superior computational efficiency in high-performance computing. © 2025, CC BY.

Smart contracts are programs that run on a blockchain, where Ethereum is one of the most popular ones supporting them. Due to the fact that they are immutable, it is essential to design smart contracts bug-free before they are deployed. However, various defects have been found in the deployed smart contracts, causing huge economic losses and lowing people's trust. Writing secure smart contracts is far from trivial, where developers tend to engage in reliable resources or social coding platforms to reuse code. This leads to a large number of similar contracts with potential security risks. Therefore, detecting similarity of smart contracts helps to avoid vulnerabilities, identify threats, and improve the security of Ethereum. In this paper, we design a learning-effective and cost-efficient model, called SmartSD, for Ethereum smart contract similarity detection. Different from the current research efforts, SmartSD is performed on a bytecode level and leverages deep neural networks to learn the latent representations from the opcode sequences for smart contract bytecodes, where the representation learning and similarity measurement are supervised via siamese neural networks. The experimental evaluations demonstrate that SmartSD outperforms EClone's 93.27% accuracy, achieving 98.37% high detection accuracy and 0.9850 F1-score, which is computationally tractable and effectively mitigates the interference caused by compilers. © 2022 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. Technological innovation is becoming one of the critical factors in promoting social development all over the world. The vigorous development of patent applications in recent years provides an opportunity to reveal the inherent laws of innovation, but it also puts forward higher requirements for patent mining technology. An essential step in patent text mining is to build a technical portrait for each patent, that is, to identify the technical phrases involved, which can summarize and represent the patent from a technical perspective. Previous technical phrase extraction methods thoroughly used technical phrases' characteristics and the relationship between technical phrases. Regarding our observations, the relationship between patent texts and technical phrases is also essential. Specifically, critical technical phrases are more relevant to the patent text and can be discovered by the attention mechanism. Motivated by this, we propose an unsupervised technical phrase extraction method based on the attention mechanism named UTESC. Self-attention captures the importance of technical phrases in sentences, and cross-attention captures the relevance between technical phrases and patents. Extensive experiments and algorithm comparisons on patent datasets have proven the effectiveness of our algorithm.

Anisotropic Infrared Absorption in Monolayer Black Phosphorus Metasurface With/Without Local Oxidative Effect

As one kind of anisotropic two-dimensional (2-D) layered material, the monolayer black phosphorus (BP) has ability to excite the surface plasmon resonance in the infrared spectrum, thus providing sufficient conditions for the strong light-matter interaction, so that some potential applications can be shown in the field of optoelectronics. Based on those physical properties, we design the patterned monolayer BP to achieve extremely high infrared absorption, and meanwhile use the finite element method to model the effects of factors such as n-type doping concentration, dielectric thickness, and angle of incidence light. Moreover, due to the strong anisotropic in-plane properties of monolayer BP, we analyze detailedly the absorption spectra in both the armchair and zigzag directions separately, and then understand that low-angle narrow-band absorption in the zigzag direction could be captured in that structure. The structure could achieve perfect absorption in the zigzag direction at an incidence angle of 89.3° with n-type doping concentration n=3×1013 cm-2 and medium thickness d = 4.6 μm, and the maximum absorption can reach 99.98% with the full width at half peak (FWHM) of only 0.57 μm. Considering the case on surface oxidation, it may occur some possible effects for the perfect absorption, but with our structure, the proposed narrow-band absorption still has wide applications in the sensing and light body monitoring. © 2023, The Authors. StylizedGS: Controllable Stylization for 3D Gaussian Splatting

With the rapid development of XR, 3D generation and editing are becoming more and more important, among which, stylization is an important tool of 3D appearance editing. It can achieve consistent 3D artistic stylization given a single reference style image and thus is a user-friendly editing way. However, recent NeRF-based 3D stylization methods face efficiency issues that affect the actual user experience and the implicit nature limits its ability to transfer the geometric pattern styles. Additionally, the ability for artists to exert flexible control over stylized scenes is considered highly desirable, fostering an environment conducive to creative exploration. In this paper, we introduce StylizedGS, a 3D neural style transfer framework with adaptable control over perceptual factors based on 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) representation. The 3DGS brings the benefits of high efficiency. We propose a GS filter to eliminate floaters in the reconstruction which affects the stylization effects before stylization. Then the nearest neighbor-based style loss is introduced to achieve stylization by fine-tuning the geometry and color parameters of 3DGS, while a depth preservation loss with other regularizations is proposed to prevent the tampering of geometry content. Moreover, facilitated by specially designed losses, StylizedGS enables users to control color, stylized scale and regions during the stylization to possess customized capabilities. Our method can attain high-quality stylization results characterized by faithful brushstrokes and geometric consistency with flexible controls. Extensive experiments across various scenes and styles demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our method concerning both stylization quality and inference FPS. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In this paper, a broadband 5G MIMO mobile antenna with a shared radiator is proposed. The working band range is 3.3-6.0GHz, covering n77, n78, n79 and WLAN 5G working bands, which can meet a large number of application scenarios of 5G mobile phones. In addition, the antenna is applied to self-decoupling, defect ground, direction diversity and other technologies and principles in the decoupling way, without the use of complex decoupling structure, to ensure that its structure is simple and easy to process, small size is suitable for today's 5G mobile phones.

A solver for subwavelength lamellar gratings is presented synchronized with the development of a light modulator for holographic video display Grating Liquid Crystal on Silicon (GLCoS) and is regarded as an important part of the whole R&D work. In this way it not only gives computational support in the whole design process including physical concept descriptions, verifications, predictions, fabrications and other experimental activities but also provides a support platform for further product development. Based on the generic Fourier modal method, we focus on the electrodynamics specific to conductors (Au, Al) and charge carriers in semiconductors (Indium Tin Oxide, ITO) in SPPs (Surface Plasmon Polaritons) and permittivity characteristics of the materials to make the solver oriented towards subwavelength (metal, semiconductor) lamellar gratings. Further, we analyze and calculate the optical characteristics of subwavelength lamellar gratings composed of ITO and Au. The results of these calculations not only agree with the results of actual GLCoS device tests to the same order of accuracy, but also demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the solver.

We present the excellent student training scheme in shielding effectiveness analysis with international cooperation of Belarus. As we know, the shielding is vital for modern information devices due to the radiating around us. Herein, the shielding effectiveness is important for training excellent students to master the design of the frequency selective components. In this method, we teach the students to use the EM simulation tools to construct different EM structures for obtaining the shielding, and the performance of these structures are verified from the simulations and measurements. Using this shielding effectiveness training scheme, a frequency selective surface is presented, simulated and discussed to analyze its performance. In future, the excellent student training methods given herein for shielding effectiveness can be expanded to develop other EM structures. © 2022 IEEE.
