Semi-supervised techniques for medical image segmentation have demonstrated potential, effectively training models using scarce labeled data alongside a wealth of unlabeled data. Therefore, semi-supervised medical image segmentation is one of the key issues in engineering applications of medical artificial intelligence. Consistency constraints based on prototype alignment provide an intuitively sensible way to discover valuable insights from unlabeled data that can motivate segmentation performance. In this work, we propose a dual prototypes contrastive network (DPC-Net) to motivate semi-supervised medical segmentation accuracy by imposing image-level global prototype constraints and pixel-level local prototype constraints. First, we introduce a Background-Separation Global Prototype Contrastive Learning technique that utilizes the natural mutual exclusivity of foreground and background to separate the inter-class distances and encourage the segmentation network to obtain segmentation results that are more complete and do not contain background regions. Second, we design a Cross-Consistent Local Prototype Contrastive Learning techniques to extend the perturbation consistency of the two networks to the prototype's localized response to the feature map, thereby shaping a more stable intra-class prototype space and producing accurate and robust pixel-level predictions. Finally, we comprehensively evaluate our method on mainstream semi-supervised medical image segmentation benchmarks and settings, and experimental results show that our DPC-Net outperforms current state-of-the-art methods. © 2024, The Authors. The rapid development of photo-realistic face generation methods has raised significant concerns in society and academia, highlighting the urgent need for robust and generalizable face forgery detection (FFD) techniques. Although existing approaches mainly capture face forgery patterns using image modality, other modalities like fine-grained noises and texts are not fully explored, which limits the generalization capability of the model. In addition, most FFD methods tend to identify facial images generated by GAN, but struggle to detect unseen diffusion-synthesized ones. To address the limitations, we aim to leverage the cutting-edge foundation model, contrastive language-image pre-training (CLIP), to achieve generalizable diffusion face forgery detection (DFFD). In this paper, we propose a novel multi-modal fine-grained CLIP (MFCLIP) model, which mines comprehensive and fine-grained forgery traces across image-noise modalities via language-guided face forgery representation learning, to facilitate the advancement of DFFD. Specifically, we devise a fine-grained language encoder (FLE) that extracts fine global language features from hierarchical text prompts. We design a multi-modal vision encoder (MVE) to capture global image forgery embeddings as well as fine-grained noise forgery patterns extracted from the richest patch, and integrate them to mine general visual forgery traces. Moreover, we build an innovative plug-and-play sample pair attention (SPA) method to emphasize relevant negative pairs and suppress irrelevant ones, allowing cross-modality sample pairs to conduct more flexible alignment. Extensive experiments and visualizations show that our model outperforms the state of the arts on different settings like cross-generator, cross-forgery, and cross-dataset evaluations. Additive manufacturing (AM) technology is extensively utilized in aerospace and industrial manufacturing. However, parts built using AM are susceptible to spheroidization, porosity, cracks, and poor surface quality, making it difficult to establish an actionable product quality degree. Hence, developing a reasonable method to equate product quality with a new degree and further analyzing the product quality based on these standards has proven effective for enhancing part quality in AM. To achieve this goal, this paper proposes a surface roughness classification method that utilizes surface roughness analysis and sample enhancement. This method leverages edge cloud cooperation to efficiently analyze and integrate data from different sensors, enabling real-time monitoring and adjustment of the manufacturing process. Subsequently, the quality degree analysis system was developed utilizing matter-element extension cloud model. Furthermore, a bidirectional-gated recurrent unit (Bi-GRU) based model for quality classification and recognition has been established, with Wasserstein generative adversarial network (WGAN) employed for sample enhancement to address the issue of imbalanced column classification and to enhance the accuracy of both classification and recognition. Finally, the results obtained from this case study demonstrate through comparative experiments that the proposed method for classifying surface roughness can accurately identify 98% of prepared samples. © 2025 The Authors

Knowledge Graph has become a dominant research field in graph theory, but its incompleteness and sparsity hinder its application in various fields. Knowledge Graph Reasoning aims to alleviate these problems by deducing new knowledge or identifying false knowledge from existing knowledge. Recently, the Graph Convolution Network (GCN) based method is one of the most advanced methods to realize knowledge graph reasoning. However, it still suffers from some problems such as incomplete neighbor information aggregation and slow training speed. This paper proposes a knowledge graph reasoning model named GK for the link prediction task, which obtains better performance than existing GCN-based methods by introducing Graphormer into knowledge reasoning. The GK first proposes that nodes and their surroundings can be regarded as a hierarchical architecture that enables the model to capture more practical reasoning information to improve prediction accuracy. In addition, to accelerate the training speed of the model on the large-scale Knowledge Graph, we present a faster shortest path-finding method F-SPF in the edge coding process. Extensive experimental results show that the GK model can obtain the state-of-the-art prediction results of current GCN-based methods and can improve the training speed.

Industrial Metaverse leverages the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to integrate data from diverse devices, employing federated learning and meta-computing to train models in a distributed manner while ensuring data privacy. Achieving an immersive experience for industrial Metaverse necessitates maintaining a balance between model quality and training latency. Consequently, a primary challenge in federated learning tasks is optimizing overall system performance by balancing model quality and training latency. This paper designs a satisfaction function that accounts for data size, Age of Information (AoI), and training latency. Additionally, the satisfaction function is incorporated into the utility functions to incentivize node participation in model training. We model the utility functions of servers and nodes as a two-stage Stackelberg game and employ a deep reinforcement learning approach to learn the Stackelberg equilibrium. This approach ensures balanced rewards and enhances the applicability of the incentive scheme for industrial Metaverse. Simulation results demonstrate that, under the same budget constraints, the proposed incentive scheme improves at least 23.7% utility compared to existing schemes without compromising model accuracy. With the rapid development of social media platforms such as Weibo, WeChat, and other new media, as well as the rise of deepfake technologies, the identification and containment of fake information have posed significant challenges, becoming one of the key challenges faced by society and governmental institutions. Therefore, the development of intelligent and efficient methods for detecting fake news has become a top priority in combating misinformation. Addressing challenges in current fake news detection techniques, such as cross-lingual issues, data imbalance, and multimodal information fusion, this paper aims to propose a dual-stream fusion network model (DSF-MHSA) based on deep learning for detecting fake news across web pages, images, and text. The model combines the deep learning models ERNIE-M, AlexNet, ShuffleNet, and three multi-head self-attention mechanisms to extract and classify features from multilingual text and images. By utilizing two separate multi-head self-attention mechanisms to process extracted textual and image information, the model captures long-range dependencies among texts to better understand contextual information and captures global information among images to enhance object recognition and localization capabilities. Finally, a single multi-head self-attention mechanism is employed to integrate textual and image information to capture cross-modal correlations, thereby strengthening the model's understanding and identification capabilities of news content. This dual-stream fusion network architecture ensures the model's ability to detect multimodal news scenarios in both English and Chinese short texts and images. Experimental evaluations conducted on three publicly available datasets - Twitter, Weibo, and IKCEST-2023 dataset, which contains real online news data collected from domestic and international social media platforms - demonstrate superior performance of the proposed model in news detection tasks, achieving an accuracy rate

A Node-collaboration-informed Graph Convolutional Network for Precise Representation to Undirected Weighted Graphs

An undirected weighted graph (UWG) is frequently adopted to describe the interactions among a solo set of nodes from real applications, such as the user contact frequency from a social network services system. A graph convolutional network (GCN) is widely adopted to perform representation learning to a UWG for subsequent pattern analysis tasks such as clustering or missing data estimation. However, existing GCNs mostly neglects the latent collaborative information hidden in its connected node pairs. To address this issue, this study proposes to model the node collaborations via a symmetric latent factor analysis model, and then regards it as a node-collaboration module for supplementing the collaboration loss in a GCN. Based on this idea, a Node-collaboration-informed Graph Convolutional Network (NGCN) is proposed with three-fold ideas: a) Learning latent collaborative information from the interaction of node pairs via a node-collaboration module;b) Building the residual connection and weighted representation propagation to obtain high representation capacity;and c) Implementing the model optimization in an end-to-end fashion to achieve precise representation to the target UWG. Empirical studies on UWGs emerging from real applications demonstrate that owing to its efficient incorporation of node-collaborations, the proposed NGCN significantly outperforms state-of-the-art GCNs in addressing the task of missing weight estimation. Meanwhile, its good scalability ensures its compatibility with more advanced GCN extensions, which will be further investigated in our future studies. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. As continuous-flow microfluidic biochips technology rapidly advances, its automated synthesis methods require adapting to increasingly complex and stringent biochemical applications. In particular, with the introduction of time-sensitive bioassays, in this work, we present a timing-driven high-level synthesis method to optimize the resource efficiency of bioassays considering the time constraints. Specifically, we investigate the existing forms of time constraints and propose a corresponding flexible modeling approach based on reaction-control which can achieve downward compatibility for physical design. Additionally, we also analyze the impact of storage and wash on time constraints. The experimental results show that our method achieves efficient execution and low devices cost while satisfying time constraints.

Depression can significantly impact many aspects of an individual’s life, including their personal and social functioning, academic and work performance, and overall quality of life. Many researchers within the field of affective computing are adopting deep learning technology to explore potential patterns related to the detection of depression. However, because of subjects’ privacy protection concerns, that data in this area is still scarce, presenting a challenge for the deep discriminative models used in detecting depression. To navigate these obstacles, a large-scale multimodal vlog dataset (LMVD), for depression recognition in the wild is built. In LMVD, which has 1823 samples with 214 hours of the 1475 participants captured from four multimedia platforms (Sina Weibo, Bilibili, Tiktok, and YouTube). A novel architecture termed MDDformer to learn the non-verbal behaviors of individuals is proposed. Extensive validations are performed on the LMVD dataset, demonstrating superior performance for depression detection. Language-conditioned robotic manipulation in unstructured environments presents significant challenges for intelligent robotic systems. However, due to partial observation or imprecise action prediction, failure may be unavoidable for learned policies. Moreover, operational failures can lead to the robotic arm entering an untrained state, potentially causing destructive results. Consequently, the ability to detect and self-correct failures is crucial for the development of practical robotic systems. To address this challenge, we propose a foresight-driven failure detection and self-correction module for robot manipulation. By leveraging 3D Gaussian Splatting, we represent the current scene with multiple Gaussians. Subsequently, we train a prediction network to forecast the Gaussian representation of future scenes conditioned on planned actions. Failure is detected when the predicted future significantly deviates from the real observation after action execution. In such cases, the end-effector rolls back to the previous action to avoid an untrained state. Integrating this approach with the PerAct framework, we develop a self-correcting robot manipulation policy. Evaluations on ten RL-Bench tasks with 166 variations demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method, which outperforms state-of-the-art methods by 12.0% success rate on average.
