Improving the simulation of terrestrial water storage anomalies over China using a Bayesian model averaging ensemble approach

The ability to estimate terrestrial water storage(TWS)is essential for monitoring hydrological extremes(e.g.,droughts and floods)and predicting future changes in the hydrological ***,inadequacies in model physics and parameters,as well as uncertainties in meteorological forcing data,commonly limit the ability of land surface models(LSMs)to accurately simulate *** this study,the authors show how simulations of TWS anomalies(TWSAs)from multiple meteorological forcings and multiple LSMs can be combined in a Bayesian model averaging(BMA)ensemble approach to improve monitoring and *** using three forcing datasets and two LSMs were conducted over China's Mainland for the period 1979–*** the simulations showed good temporal correlations with satellite observations from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment during 2004–*** correlation coefficient ranged between 0.5 and 0.8 in the humid regions(e.g.,the Yangtze river basin,Huaihe basin,and Zhujiang basin),but was much lower in the arid regions(e.g.,the Heihe basin and Tarim river basin).The BMA ensemble approach performed better than all individual member *** captured the spatial distribution and temporal variations of TWSAs over China's Mainland and the eight major river basins very well;plus,it showed the highest R value(>0.5)over most basins and the lowest root-mean-square error value(<40 mm)in all basins of *** good performance of the BMA ensemble approach shows that it is a promising way to reproduce long-term,high-resolution spatial and temporal TWSA data.

Prediction of student failure in course learning has become a very difficult issue due to the large number of factors that can affect student’s low performance, and it is difficult to use classical statistical methods because the results are usually very difficult to being understood by end-user. In this study, a genetic algorithm approach is proposed to deal with these problems using a data set of 576 higher education students’ course learning information. Firstly, a mechanism of chromosome encoding is designed to represent associated individual namely classification rule. Secondly, a flexible fitness function is proposed in order to evaluate the quality of each individual, which can make a trade-off between sensitivity and specificity. Thirdly, a set of genetic operators including selection, crossover and mutation are constructed to generate offspring from the fittest individuals so as to select out the best solution to our problem, which can be easily used as an early warning rule to predict student failure in course learning. Finally, by testing the model, consistency was shown between the predicted results and the observed data, indicating that the employed method is promising for identifying at-risk students. The interpretable result is a significant advantage over other classical methods as it can obtain a both accurate and comprehensible classifier for student performance prediction. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2018.

In order to better monitor and manage the signal transmission in the communication system and base station, and carrier detection is more effective. This paper designs a carrier(Carrier frequency) detection system based on FPGA, including system design requirements, FPGA selection, system framework design, carrier detection method design and so on. The performance indexes of the system are tested, such as carrier frequency range, carrier search time, carrier detection number and CPU consumption rate. The system has the advantages of high flexibility and good portability, and has a good application prospect in communication system, base station and other equipment.

In order to effectively detect the time slot power of the repeater station and the base station which the mobile communication system of time division multiple access(TDMA) communication systems, In this paper, a signal acquisition hardware circuit based on ARM platform is designed, and a method of synthetically calculating time slot power is proposed. The signal acquisition circuit used an 8 channel ADC108 chip connected to ARM through the SPI bus, the time slot power detection method is composed of signal timing acquisition module, data acquisition module and data processing module to calculate the time slot power. And the validity of the method in detecting the time slot power under the condition of system boot and normal operation is tested, the system CPU resource consumption, the error value of the tested time slot power are tested also. The results show that the proposed method can effectively detect and control time slot power of TDMA system, and it has important significance to the repeater station and the base station system network signal coverage and optimization.

In this paper,the problem of delay-dependent robust stability of neutral systems with mixed-delay and time-varying structured uncertainties is investigated under the condition of h ≥τ.Different from the existing researches,the mixed-delays are sufficiently used to construct an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional（LKF）.Based this LKF,the Wirtinger-based integral inequality is employed to deal with the derivative of this *** examples illustrate the improvement this approach provides over previous methods.

With the wide application of embedded devices and Internet of things equipment, embedded WEB server has become an indispensable part of its intelligent equipment. In order to select and build the embedded WEB server efficiently, this paper presents the performance simulation evaluation of three kinds of commonly embedded WEB server based on Boa, Tomcat and Apache(httpd). The embedded experimental platform based on ARM processor is set up to test the static and dynamic performance of Boa, Tomcat, Apache(httpd), such as connection rate, cpu utilization rate, throughput rate, click rate. The experimental results can provide a theoretical basis for the selection, construction and control of embedded WEB server based on ARM devices, which has important practical value.

The load balancing strategy of RSS used in the PFING capture method does not work well on multi-core processor platforms to achieve the disadvantage of the load balancing on the processor cores. This paper presents a packet load balancing method based on FD and RSS. The basic idea of this method is to capture the packet with the 5 tuple filter matching, and then can not be classified packets and flow oriented filter matching, and finally can not be classified packets matching RSS. Design of experiments to test the packet capture performance and load balancing performance which the packet capture method of PFING using the combination of load balancing strategy based on FD+RSS and RSS, the results show that the data packet stream load balancing method based on FD+RSS can improve the performance of data packet capture and load balancing among multiple cores.

Aiming at the demand of PWM waveform in the fields of communication, measurement, control, electronic power, detection and so on, in this paper, the hardware circuit of PWM generator based on OMAP-L138 chip is designed, and the control program of PWM generator is designed with the idea of layered design. The correctness of the circuit design and control program of the PWM generator is tested and the performance indexes of the PWM generator circuit such as the CPU consumption rate and the precision of the CPU duty cycle are tested. The experimental results show that the PWM generator has the advantages of simple circuit structure, high control precision, high flexibility and good portability.
