Soft robots are usually driven by soft actuators, and the dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA) is recognized as one of the most promising soft actuators. However, the DEA has complex nonlinear char- acteristics, which brings great challenges to its control. So, how to use the appropriate method to control the DEA has become a problem worth pondering. This paper proposes three model-free adaptive control (MFAC) methods to realize the tacking control of the DEA. These meth- ods avoid the complex process of establishing the dynamic model of the DEA, and only need the input and output data to control. Thus, these methods have a strong adaptability and generalization ability. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods, some simulations are imple- mented. More importantly, some actual experiments are implemented to further demonstrate the validity of the methods. The root-mean-square errors (RMSEs) of the simulation results are less than 0.35%, and the RMSEs of the actual experimental results can be maintained at about 6.5%, which fully reflects the excellence of the proposed methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

For hybrid energy storage systems in DC microgrids, a droop control consisting of virtual capacitors and virtual resistors can decompose power into high-frequency components and low-frequency components, then assign them to batteries and supercapacitors to respond respectively. However, aiming at the service life of the energy storage system, this paper considers the characteristics and key parameters of the hybrid energy storage structure and proposes an adaptive drooping comprehensive control strategy considering the SOC of the energy storage unit given the shortcomings of power distribution within the current hybrid energy storage. According to the self-regulation capacity of each energy storage unit, it is sorted and constrained, and protected by using SOC, which ensures the economy and safety of the system while ensuring power distribution. The traditional droop control and adaptive droop control are simulated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Effective identification of faults or abnormal conditions can help operators make corrective decisions and plan equipment maintenance. Sequence matching and cluster analysis are important methods to distinguish different faults. Most existing sequence matching methods mainly focus on alarm event sequences, which reflect the amplitude change characteristics of process data. However, due to the complexity of the equipment and the coupling between variables, alarm event sequences caused by different faults may still assemble each other in a certain extent, which makes it difficult to distinguish faults based on alarms only. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a sequence similarity analysis method combining both alarm and trend events. A qualitative trend representation method is proposed to extract trend changes as trend events. A feature event fusion method is proposed to generate a hybrid sequence to distinguish different fault sequences. The proposed method is evaluated based on data generated by the Tennessee Eastman process model. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper investigates the delay-dependent stability of time-delayed load frequency control (LFC) systems with multiple energy structures based on Lyapunov theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) technology. Firstly, a multi-area delayed LFC model considering multiple renewable energy structures is established. Then, in order to improve the computation efficiency of stability analysis of large scale LFC systems, a new reconstruction technique for system model is proposed. Next, the improved delay-dependent stability criteria are established based on reconstructed model by using the Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, case studies are based on two-area LFC systems. Comparing with the criterion based on the original model without reconstruction, the calculation efficiency of proposed stability criteria has been greatly improved with the cost of small accuracy, and the calculation accuracy is better than the previous methods. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

At present, most research on the coverage of multi-agent systems is based on Euclidean distance. This does not consider the existence of obstacles and has great limitations in the application. In this paper, a kind of coverage control problem based on high-order geodesic Voronoi partition is practically investigated. It allows multiple agents to monitor an area with obstacles to achieve the monitoring of the overall environment. As a result, the geodesic distance is introduced as a metric form. Based on the geodesic distance, point-by-point scanning on the layer is taken to achieve high-order Voronoi diagram division. The coverage algorithm can be implemented in a distributed manner through the exchange of location information with each other, and the Lloyd algorithm is added to realize the movement of the sensor toward the optimal position. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

This paper focuses on the coordinated tracking control scheme of dual-manipulator based on friction compensation. First, a new dual-manipulator model with flexible joints and friction is constructed;Second, a new adaptive neural control method is proposed for the dual-manipulators with flexible joints. Neural networks are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear dynamics in the model;Third, new state observers are constructed to estimate the joint friction. Based on the observers, the friction can be well compensated. The stability of the system is derived by using Lyapunov method. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the practical method. © 2022 IEEE.

Heat dissipation is extremely important for electronic component such as CPU or GPU of the computer. Now most researchers only design optimal heat sink for CPU for better heat dissipation, while few of them consider waste heat recycling of CPU. The CPU can be used as the heat source, while the original system has fan and heat sink as the cooling system. Thus, the original CPU working condition is very suitable for thermoelectric power generation and will bring great benefit to system itself. However, adding thermoelectric generator will increase the temperature of CPU, which will decrease the performance of the computer. It is necessary to reduce the hot side temperature while generating energy as much as possible. To achieve this, this paper designed a kind of intelligent waste heat generation system based on thermoelectric power generator. Three different shape heat sinks are designed, contrasted, and tested. By building experimental platform and establishing simulation model, the power of thermoelectric power generation and temperature change of the three heat sink structures are compared. The fin shaped heat sink is considered has the best output performance while keeping the hot side temperature within the acceptance range. The maximum output power is 10.67mW, and the maximum hot side temperature is 72◦C during the experiment. © 2021 IEEE

Power line network is the main carrier of the power system, and the smooth patrol inspection plays a crucial role in the fault prevention of the power line network. With the emergence of the patrol inspection UAV, how to detect the target of the power line through the picture and carry out accurate positioning has become a major research focus of the intelligent power system. A method for detecting and locating power lines based on an encoding lightweight decoder network (EDN-light) is proposed in this paper. It provides a foundation for the research and development of intelligent inspection of power line network, such as detection and identification, fault location, and guarantee of operation safety, and puts forward a new solution to the fault location diagnosis of power line using image. By EDN-light network, it focuses on detecting high level target and eliminating irrelevant information such as background, the convolutional layer of the encoder is used for extracting features, and the deconvolutional layer of the decoder for reconstructing images. The EDN-light network can improve the detection accuracy, and generate high-quality segmentation object suggestions. Use Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation's aviation power line network dataset and self-made dataset to train the model to improve the generalization ability of the model. Experiments have found that due to the fully convolutional network design, it can carry out multi-scale input, For power line image segmentation and detection, the accuracy is better, and the evaluation indicators of the proposed models have increased. And due to the design of the lightweight decoder, Without retraining the network, the learned model can be extended to unknown linear category targets without repeated training. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this paper,a stochastic linear quadratic optimal tracking scheme is proposed for unknown linear discrete-time(DT)systems based on adaptive dynamic programming(ADP)***,an augmented system composed of the original system and the command generator is constructed and then an augmented stochastic algebraic equation is derived based on the augmented ***,to obtain the optimal control strategy,the stochastic case is converted into the deterministic one by system transformation,and then an ADP algorithm is proposed with convergence *** the purpose of realizing the ADP algorithm,three back propagation neural networks including model network,critic network and action network are devised to guarantee unknown system model,optimal value function and optimal control strategy,***,the obtained optimal control strategy is applied to the original stochastic system,and two simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
