Railway point machine(RPM)condition monitoring has attracted engineers’attention for safe train operation and accident *** realize the fast and accurate fault diagnosis of RPMs,this paper proposes a method based on entropy measurement and broad learning system(BLS).Firstly,the modified multi-scale symbolic dynamic entropy(MMSDE)module extracts dynamic characteristics from the collected acoustic signals as entropy ***,the fuzzy BLS takes the above entropy features as input to complete model *** BLS introduces the Takagi-Sug eno fuzzy system into BLS,which improves the model’s classification performance while considering computational *** results indicate that the proposed method significantly reduces the running time while maintaining high accuracy.

This paper proposes a new terminal guidance law based on zeroing line of sight rate using time delay control theory and back-stepping method. Firstly, the plane guidance model of the compound control missile is established accounting for dynamic characteristics of double actuator, where the unknown interferences such as target maneuver, time-varying relative velocity and parameter perturbation, constitute the system unmatched uncertain parts. Secondly, the guidance law is proposed by introducing the time delay control theory into the solution of terminal guidance, estimating target maneuver and accurate compensation of subsystems at each layer. Then the closed-loop stability of the whole system is demonstrated by giving the basis of parameter selection in the second half of this paper. Finally, the simulation analysis is carried out under the scenario of air targets with large maneuvering. The guidance law can independently estimate target maneuverability, verifying the correctness and effectiveness of combating unknown interfere systems. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

DFIG has the capability to participate in power system frequency modulation through inertial control by returning the energy stored in the rotating mass of the generator that is delivered to the grid. When frequency modulation occurs, the primary frequency drop can lead to a reduction in the rotor kinetic energy stored in the DFIG, which is subsequently used to produce extra active power to sustain the system frequency. However, once the available rotor kinetic energy is released, the output power of the DFIG abruptly drops to restore the rotor speed. To reduce the extent of the secondary frequency deviation caused by the inertial control of DFIGs, this paper applies an analytically derived approach to optimize the parameters of temporary primary frequency control during rotor speed recovery. Specifically, the parameters optimized include termination time and active power Simulation results conducted using DIGSILENT simulation software have demonstrated that the optimized temporary primary frequency control strategy is capable of effectively reducing the secondary frequency drop that may occur when the DFIG is removed from frequency control. Moreover, setting the optimal termination time and controlling the active power output while the rotor speed is being restored are crucial to prevent excessive mechanical wear and fatigue that may be induced by a too-rapid recovery of rotor speed. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

complex simulation systems usually need to satisfy the credibility requirements and the credibility of complex simulation systems is inextricably linked to the credibility of simulation sub-systems. Hence, in order to guarantee the credibility of complex simulation systems meets requirements, it is necessary to allocate the credibility of simulation sub-systems. complex simulation systems are composed of several correlative simulation sub-systems and their credibility has correlation relationships, which makes it difficult to obtain the credibility of simulation sub-systems quickly. The existing works mostly ignore the relationships between the sub-systems and are difficult to generate the credibility allocation results of simulation sub-systems. In this paper, we model the credibility allocation problem as a probabilistic inference problem based on the pairwise Markov random field (PMRF). In addition, we apply several inference algorithms to perform the inference exactly and approximately in the credibility PMRF. Finally, experiments are conduted on the air defense combat complex simulation system, and the experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method can obtain the credibility allocation results quickly and accurately. © 2023 The Authors.

In the context of the digital transformation of power systems, various new sensors are capable of acquiring massive real-time data from the power grid, providing an opportunity for the development of digital twins in power systems. This paper proposes a transient stability assessment digital twin framework based on knowledge distillation. Addressing the challenges of high computational resource consumption and model deployment difficulties associated with existing high-precision complex models in transient stability assessment, the knowledge distillation method is introduced for model lightweighting. Simultaneously, the proposed continuous learning online updating strategy enables adaptive online updates for complex operating conditions and structures, enhancing the learning capability for online additions of diverse samples. Using Transformer as the transient stability assessment model, the effectiveness of the proposed approach was validated on the IEEE 39-bus system. © 2024 IEEE.

This research addresses the challenge of assessing equipment decision-making effectiveness in environments characterized by uncertainty and multiple influencing factors. We propose a novel approach involving the creation and optimization of a dynamic Bayesian network-based model tailored for equipment decision-making processes. The model facilitates a systematic evaluation of decision-making effectiveness by incorporating various factors, including equipment performance, environmental conditions, and enemy defensive capabilities. A comprehensive assessment system has been developed to simulate the penetration capabilities of different equipment through enemy defenses. Moreover, this study identifies potential errors in the effectiveness evaluation model by analyzing its performance in typical scenarios, pinpointing areas for enhancement. © 2024 IEEE.

As the converter-based renewable power generation has been extensively integrated into grid, the transient synchronizing stability accidents of gird induced by voltage source convert (VSC) are emerging more and more frequently and severely. In this paper, the transient synchronizing dynamics of the VSC are depicted by a reduced-order model. Then, its transient synchronizing stability is examined and analyzed by the large-signal basin of attraction (BOA) of the VSC. The system shows two kinds of boundaries of the BOA under different parameters, including the closed-loop area and the fish-like area. The boundary of the closed-loop area is depicted by the equipotential plane estimation based on the energy function. The boundary of the fish-like area is estimated through the method of hyperplane in the first quadrant. Meanwhile, the transient synchronizing stability criteria can be established based on the estimated boundaries and the numerically integral fault trajectories. Furthermore, the critical clearing angle (CCA) is analytical calculated through the analytically derived fault trajectory under the worst fault conditions. Meanwhile, the critical clearing times (CCT) can also be analytical calculated. Both the analytical CCA and CCT can provide enough margin for the transient control and protection. Finally, several simulations have verified the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method in MATLAB. © 2024 IEEE.

Thickness Measurement of Single-Mode Fiber Coating Layer Based on Forward Brillouin Scattering

The coating layer is essential for protecting and applying optical fibers. Nowadays, the thickness measurement of the coating layer relies on point measurement schemes such as the side-looking light distribution method and mechanical method. However, there are some problems with the above methods, such as the trade-off between resolution and field of view, the cutting of the measurement position and the long measurement time. To overcome these problems, we propose a new method based on forward Brillouin scattering, which measures the coating layer thickness of single-mode fibers. The physical properties of the transverse acoustic field involved in forward Brillouin scattering make it possible to measure the thickness of the fiber coating. The corresponding relationship between the transverse acoustic mode frequency and the diameter of the coating layer can be calculated. The coating layer thickness can be measured with high precision by measuring the frequency spectrum of forward Brillouin scattering corresponding to multiple transverse acoustic modes at a given temperature. In the verification experiment, three types of single-mode fibers coated with polyimide are used as the sensing fiber to measure the thickness of the coating layer at multiple temperatures. The experimental results show that the error in the coating layer thickness obtained is less than 0.05 μm. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of non-destructive, high-precision monitoring of fiber coating thickness. © 2001-2012 IEEE.
