This paper studies mean square and almost sure consensus of discrete-time second-order multi-agent systems with time-delays and multiplicative noises in the information exchange with *** using the stochastic stability theorem of discrete-time stochastic delay systems,we find sufficient conditions for mean square and almost sure consensus explicitly related to the network and control *** is shown that if the network graph is balanced and strongly connected,then the weighted-average type control protocol can be properly designed to ensure mean square and almost sure consensus for any given time-delays and noise intensity coefficients.

A sphere-based list forwarding scheme for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) relay networks is proposed and analyzed. Firstly, an estimate forwarding(EF) method is proposed, which forwards the minimum mean squared error(MMSE) estimate of the source data to the destination. Since it performs like amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF) for the low and high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) regions, respectively, the EF relay thus outperforms conventional AF and DF across all SNRs without the need for switching algorithms for different SNRs. Because computational complexity is however high for relays with a large number of antennas(large MIMO) and/or high order constellations, list EF for large MIMO relay networks is proposed. It computes a list sphere decoder based MMSE estimate and retains the advantages of the exact EF relay at a negligible performance loss. The proposed list EF could offer a flexible trade-off between the performance and computational complexity.

An estimate-and-forward(EF) scheme for single-input single-output(SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) full-duplex two-way relay networks is proposed and analyzed. The relay estimates the received signal from two terminal nodes by a minimum mean squared error(MMSE) estimation and forwards a scaled version of the MMSE estimate to the destination. The proposed EF outperforms conventional amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF) across all signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) region. Because its computational complexity is high for relays with a large number of antennas(large MIMO) and/or high order constellations, an approximate EF scheme, called list EF, are thus proposed to reduce the computational complexity. The proposed list EF computes a candidate list for the MMSE estimate by using a sphere decoder, and it approaches the performance of the exact EF relay at a negligible performance loss. The proposed forwarding approach also could be used to other relay networks, such as half-duplex, one-way or massive MIMO relay networks.

Forest fires are serious disasters that endanger the safety and property of residents. To deal with the arson-caused forest fires, we use security game theory to generate optimal patrol strategy under limited patrolling resources. The existing security game algorithms focus on a single behavior model to prevent attacks, while our work is to incorporate the secondary damage caused by the attack behavior into the optimization object. For forest fires, the security game algorithm only expects to catch arsonists in the forest, which is unreasonable in our opinion. Our algorithm incorporates the spread of fires into patrolling path planning so that defenders avoid being swallowed by fire via capturing the spread of it.

Agile satellites are of importance in modern aerospace applications, but high mobility of the satellites may cause them vulnerable to saturation during attitude maneuvers due to limited rating of actuators, This paper proposes a near minimum-time feedback control law for the agile satellite attitude controlsystem. The feedback controller is formed by specially designed cascaded sub-units. The rapid dynamic response of the modified Bang Bang control logic achieves the near optimal property and ensures the non-saturation properties on three-axis. To improve the dynamic performance, a model reference control strategy is proposed, in which the oniline near optimal attitude maneuver path is generated by the cascade controller and is then tracked by a nonlinear back-stepping controller. Furthermore, the accuracy and the robustness of the controlsystem are achieved by momentum-based on-line inertial identification. The rapid attitude maneuvering can be applied for tasks including the move to move case. Numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in terms of the saturation-free property and rapidness.

We developed and validated a small, easy to use and cost-effective augmented marker-based hybrid navigation system for peri-acetabular osteotomy (PAO) surgery. The hybrid system consists of a tracking unit directly placed on the patient's pelvis, an augmented marker with an integrated inertial measurement unit (IMU) attached to the patient's acetabular fragment and the host computer. The tracking unit sends a live video stream of the marker to the host computer where the marker's pose is estimated. The augmented marker with the IMU sends its pose estimate to the host computer where we apply sensor fusion to compute the final marker pose estimate. The host computer then tracks the orientation of the acetabular fragment during peri-acetabular osteotomy surgery. Anatomy registration is done using a previously developed registration device. A Kalman filter-based sensor fusion was added to complete the system. A plastic bone study was performed for validation between an optical tracking-based navigation system and our proposed system. Mean absolute difference for inclination and anteversion was 1.63 degrees and 1.55 degrees, respectively. The results show that our system is able to accurately measure the orientation of the acetabular fragment.
