Deriving the spatial features of user equipment (UE) and traffic distribution is crucial for optimizing real-world wireless network performance, such as load balancing and improving cell-edge user experience. In this paper, we creatively construct the beam-space grid with high-dimensional beam reference signal receiving power (RSRP), serving as spatial reference system for 5G mobile networks. However, this is a challenging task due to i) access to 3D UE geographic information is limited by privacy protection and device settings, ii) beam-RSRP with up to 75% loss in measurement reports (MRs), iii) large computation and storage requirements of grid information caused by the exploding grid number in high-dimensional beam-space. A novel approach is designed to tackle these challenges, that coherently integrate low-rank matrix completion and dimension reduction techniques. Using telco big data, specifically MRs from live networks, we recover the beam-RSRP with high-precision and construct the beam-space grid even without geographic information. This research ensures stable derivation of spatial distribution features in the beam-space grid while efficiently processing grid information.

A fuzzy test-based method for random differentiation of homework is proposed to address the problems of low update frequency, serious plagiarism and weakened barriers in university coursework. In order to generate fuzzy homework questions, a semi-automatic framework for fuzzy test-based homework is designed and the four key steps are described in formal language, including pre-processing, variable construction, variable screening and difficulty assessment. The effectiveness of the method is illustrated through a comparison of student teaching data, questionnaire feedback and faculty interviews in a pilot course on principles of computer composition. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In view of the serious issues commonly existing with coursework in Chinese universities at present, such as its original function weakening or being suppressed, its form being too abstract and lack of elaborate design. In order to resolve these problems observed in usual homework, this paper proposes a reform scheme for cloud coursework based on Extended Reality and Bloom model. It mainly includes five key parts, such as interaction, scene, comprehensive evaluation, digital twin and data analysis. At present, online teaching has become more and more popular especially in the context of the current epidemic, and quality governance has become the internal needs of modern education development, while there is no simple and easy to use learning situation risk cognition method for specific online teaching class. In order to deal with this problem, in this study a data-driven method of learning situation risk cognition and measurement for online teaching is provided, which uses student initiative degree, concentration degree, duration degree and interaction degree to measure comprehensive learning effective degree and reflect student learning situation risk in an online class. Besides, normalized score earned by student in knowledge point test after online class is used to validate the calculation method designed, and the obtained results show that it is promising and easy to calculation. It provides a basis for decision making of students’ learning situation risk early warning and also provides a data-driven management method for the guarantee of online teaching quality, which has both academic and practical significance. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the advent of knowledge economy, online education relies on the Internet and mobile terminals, it breaks the limitation of time and space of traditional education. Online education has gradually becoming a new way for people to learn. Under the special background of COVID-19 since 2020, online education has been well applied. The course of Web Application Development Technology is not only a course which is the core course in software development for computer majors, but also is a course with strong practicality and application. Urine sediment detection is an essential aid in assessing kidney health. Traditional machine learning approaches treat urine sediment particle detection as an image classification task, segmenting particles for detection based on information such as edges or thresholds. However, the segmentation of sediment particles is complex due to the low contrast and weak edge characteristics of urine sediment images. In this paper, we consider urine sediment particle detection as a object detection task and propose the YOLOv5s-CBL, a detector dedicated to particle detection. Specifically, to mitigate the impact of background noise on detection accuracy, we inherit CBAM on the YOLOv5s model to help the network filter useless noise information and find regions of interest to extract target features. Then, we expand the original three-scale feature layer to improve the sensitivity of the model to larger-scale target sediment particles. Finally, we use the BiFPN structure instead of the original PANet combined with the FPN structure, which can more effectively fuse multiple different scales of information to improve the detection performance of the model. We compared state-of-the-art methods on two real-world datasets, and the experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of YOLOv5s-CBL. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Cervical cancer is one of the most widespread malignancies affecting women’s health worldwide today. However, the task of detection is particularly difficult due to the complex background of the cervical smear, where cells are previously stacked in clusters. To address this problem, we utilize the YOLOv5 as the baseline and build on YOLOv5 by using the simple Transformer Block which only combines with multi-head self attention layers and MLP to better extract cell features as well as to obtain global information. In addition, we allow the model to refine features adaptively to assist with detection by using Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM), an attention module being simple and effective for feed-forward convolutional neural networks, in the complex background information. Finally, we compare the model with YOLOv5 as baseline. In CDetector dataset, our model obtains 52.5% mAP@.5, which is 6% better than baseline. In transfer learning, it is 62.2%, which outperforms baseline by 3.2%. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
