Aiming at the high demands of temperature and precision in the aspect of additive manufacturing, a method based on CNN was proposed for estimating measurement. The network was trained through the collected laser thermal radiation images for image recognition and isotherm estimation after modeling a CNN. The experimental conclusion verifies that the isotherm detection and temperature estimation of the laser point can be efficiently implemented in proposed method. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. Aiming at the effect of selective laser sintering technology used in 3D printing, the recursive least squares method was applied to fitting a control system model for quantification the relationship between laser power and corresponding temperature in this paper. The internal model control method is considered based on the establishing model. The controller is put into the actual 3D printing power control system for controlling the laser power. In the experiment, both internal model controller and the PID controller for the 3D printer are researched and deployed for comparing the their effects in the paper. The experimental result illustrates that the IMC based on the recursive least squares method is of effectiveness. © 2020 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Virtual machine placement (VMP) is among the important techniques to improve the energy efficiency of green cloud data centers. To address this issue, bionic optimization algorithms have been widely used. One of the most effective methods is to use the genetic algorithm (GA) to find the best or near-optimal solution for the VMP problem. In this paper, a GGA-based algorithm is proposed to solve the energy-aware VMP problem. The algorithm regards the VMP problem as BPP and strives to reduce the number of active hosts in order to reduce the system energy consumption. Further, since it is important to find the solution of VMP in a short time especially in the online scenario, several optimization strategies are developed and applied in the proposed algorithm to improve the convergence speed of the algorithm and reduce the execution time of the algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate that compared with the traditional genetic algorithm, our method can effectively decrease the number of iterations and improve the speed of seeking optimal solutions.

Due to the current multi-target tracking work, in the scene of dense and staggered targets, the tracked targets are prone to ID switch, which greatly affects the tracking effect. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposed a new multi-target tracking algorithm: using an improved anchor-free detection method and extracting features from multiple aspects, combined with the message passing graph neural network to participate in the data association process to further improve the exchange of feature information, so as to improve the algorithm's ability to associate target information data between frames and improve the tracking accuracy. After conducting quantitative analysis and comparison experiments on datasets such as MOT17 and MOT20, the experimental results show that the algorithm in this paper can effectively improve the problem of target ID switching and provide better tracking accuracy and performance.

The generic object detection (GOD) task has been successfully tackled by recent deep neural networks, trained by an avalanche of annotated training samples from some common classes. However, it is still non-trivial to generalize these object detectors to the novel long-tailed object classes, which have only few labeled training samples. To this end, the Few-Shot Object Detection (FSOD) has been topical recently, as it mimics the humans' ability of learning to learn, and intelligently transfers the learned generic object knowledge from the common heavy-tailed, to the novel long-tailed object classes. Especially, the research in this emerging field has been flourishing in recent years with various benchmarks, backbones, and methodologies proposed. To review these FSOD works, there are several insightful FSOD survey articles [58, 59, 74, 78] that systematically study and compare them as the groups of fine-tuning/transfer learning, and meta-learning methods. In contrast, we review the existing FSOD algorithms from a new perspective under a new taxonomy based on their contributions, i.e., data-oriented, model-oriented, and algorithm-oriented. Thus, a comprehensive survey with performance comparison is conducted on recent achievements of FSOD. Furthermore, we also analyze the technical challenges, the merits and demerits of these methods, and envision the future directions of FSOD. Specifically, we give an overview of FSOD, including the problem definition, common datasets, and evaluation protocols. The taxonomy is then proposed that groups FSOD methods into three types. Following this taxonomy, we provide a systematic review of the advances in FSOD. Finally, further discussions on performance, challenges, and future directions are presented. The smart water meter in water supply network can directly affect water production and usage when faults occur. The traditional method of fault detection is inefficient with time lagging, which is not helpful for modernization of water supply system. The capability of automatic fault diagnosis of smart water meter is an important means to improve the service quality of water supply. In this paper, an automatic fault diagnosis method for the smart device is proposed based on BP neural network. And it was applied on Google Tensorflow platform. Fault symptom vectors were constructed using water meter status data and were used to train the neural network model. In order to improve the learning convergence speed and fault classification effect of the network, a method of weighted symptom was also employed. Experimental results show that it has good performance with a general fault diagnosis accuracy of 98.82%. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Masked data is a common missing failure data in reliability engineering. In this paper, multiple change points (CPs) software reliability growth model (SRGM) based on nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP) is proposed using masked data. The C-Chart technology is used to estimate the position of the change point during the software failure process. Moreover, the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) process of the model parameters is derived in detail, and Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm is used to solve the likelihood function complicated problem. Finally, using the Tomcat 5 software failure data to conduct a comparative analysis of model performance, the results show that the proposed reliability model is useful and powerful. © 2020 IEEE.

At present, most of the video-based 3D human pose estimation methods process the video frame by frame, ignoring the timing information of the upper and lower frames of the video. When there is a single-frame estimation error caused by self-occlusion, the occlusion part will be Some strange movements appear due to information loss, and the estimated results make it difficult to produce accurate motion sequences. Therefore, considering the continuity of the upper and lower frames of the video, this paper adopts the HMR algorithm and introduces a bidirectional long-term memory network (BI-LSTM) in the encoding part to process the video sequence, and then outputs the parameters of the human body model through the SMPL parameters and inputs them into the discriminator for confrontation, train. In order for the discriminator to also take into account the semantic information of the temporal context, the discriminator in this paper also introduces a BI-LSTM network to improve the authenticity of the generated poses. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the model is improved when self-occlusion occurs.

The nonlocal waveguide coupling of giant atoms can bring up novel physics and applications. In this paper, we find unconventional electromagnetically induced transparency in giant atoms that has not been reported so far. We present a consistent theory for describing the unconventional EIT which includes a real-space scattering method and a time-delayed master equation. Our analysis shows this phenomenon is a full quantum effect led by a quantized interaction between the atom and the waveguide. Our theory shows that it can be observed when the time delay between two neighboring coupling points is comparable to the relaxation time of the atom. This phenomenon results from the inherent nonlocality of the giant atom, which physically forces propagating fields to be standing waves in space and the atom exhibiting retardations in time.
