Pathological examination is an important step in cancer diagnosis. Pathologists make diagnosis and pathology report based on observed cell and tissue structure on pathological slides. With the development of statistical machine learning, especially deep learning, automated classifiers are being used to analyze histopathological slides and assist pathologists in diagnosis. Currently, commonly used annotation methods in histopathological slides include image-wise, bounding box, ellipse-wise, pixel-wise. In order to verify the influence of annotation in pathological slide on deep learning model, we design corresponding experiments to test the performance based on annotations with different granularity annotation. In classification, all state-of-the-art deep learning based classifiers perform better when they are trained by the dataset with pixel-wise annotation. On average, precision, recall and F1-score improves by 7.87%, 8.83% and 7.85% respectively. Thus, it is suggested that finer annotations are better utilized by deep learning algorithms in classification tasks. Similarly, semantic segmentation algorithms can achieve 8.33% better segmentation accuracy when trained by pixel-wise annotations. Our study shows that finer-grained annotation can not only improve the performance of deep learning models, but help deep learning model extract more accurate phenotypic information from histopathological slides. An accurate acquisitions of phenotypic information can help pathologists to enquire the model based on which regions and features in the slide were mainly used to calculate the prediction, improve the reliability of the model prediction. Image segmentation is the indispensable part in the field of computer vision. There are tremendous methods for handling this task such as Otsu-thresholding and Fuzzy C-means (FCM). However, the segmentation results of the images are occasionally unsatisfactory due to the presence of noise. In this paper, two kinds of spatial information consisting of the relative position information and the intensity information of the neighborhood pixels in an image are taken into consideration in constructing the objective function in FCM. Moreover, Ant Lion Optimization, one of the recently proposed optimization algorithms is utilized to optimize the relevant index. Bio-inspired ALO has the robust ability to find optimal parameters in search spaces. So the proposed approach to image segmentation based on Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) and Ant Lion Optimization (ALO) may alleviate this problem to a certain degree. A series of experimental validation has been implemented for demonstrating the performance of the proposed approach in the end of the paper.

With the rapid development of computation and communication technologies, the traditional vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) are changing to Internet of vehicle (IoV). Vehicular announcement networks in IoV have been widely used in the communication of vehicles. Generally, we need to solve two problems while establishing a vehicular announcement system. First, we need to protect user's privacy when broadcasting the message. Second, participants usually lack the enthusiasm to reply to the announcement. To solve these two problems, we propose a novel blockchain-based incentive announcement system that not only allows participants to anonymously announce their message on the blockchain in a non-trusted environment, but also motivates witnesses to respond to the request of the traffic information with incentive mechanism. Meanwhile, traffic messages and signatures in our system are tamper-resistant, which are recorded on the blockchain. According to the security and performance analysis, it shows that our system is privacy-preserving and efficient in computation cost.

We propose two simple and effective spiking neuron models to improve the response time of the conventional spiking neural network. The proposed neuron models adaptively tune the presynaptic input current depending on the input received from its presynapses and subsequent neuron firing events. We analyze and derive the firing activity homeostatic convergence of the proposed models. We experimentally verify and compare the models on MNIST handwritten digits and FashionMNIST classification tasks. We show that the proposed neuron models significantly increase the response speed to the input signal. Experiment codes are available at https://***/anvien/Evol-SNN. © 2019, CC0.

Massive Open Online Course(MOOC) is a new teaching mode appeared in recent years and its emergence has constituted some challenge to the traditional teaching. However, MOOCs teaching mode has both advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, both the merits and the demerits of MOOC education are analyzed. We point out that the MOOC education mode and the traditional face-to-face classroom instruction should be combined together so as to improve the teaching effectiveness in modern education. Finally, how to blend the MOOC mode and the traditional classroom teaching and further utilize the network platform to improve the teaching efficiency in several learning phases are examined.

In order to better monitor and manage the signal transmission in the communication system and base station, and carrier detection is more effective. This paper designs a carrier(Carrier frequency) detection system based on FPGA, including system design requirements, FPGA selection, system framework design, carrier detection method design and so on. The performance indexes of the system are tested, such as carrier frequency range, carrier search time, carrier detection number and CPU consumption rate. The system has the advantages of high flexibility and good portability, and has a good application prospect in communication system, base station and other equipment.

With the increasingly large-scale interconnection of power system, the object of this paper was to analyze the fragility of the fault of IEEE14 nodes based on the mixed entropy *** mixed entropy approach was adopted to quantify the fragile links in the system, which is made up by the flow entropy and the risk entropy. The simulation experiments involved in the study were implemented in the MATPOWER toolbox of the MATLAB platform. The results obtained in this study include that the flow entropy is the key factor on unbalanced distribution of power grid, furthermore the safety of the whole power grid can be achieved a quantitative assessment by the risk entropy. The simulation experiments of IEEE-14 node involved in the study were implemented in the MATPOWER toolbox of the MATLAB platform. The results were presented in the form of data and histograms. The impacts of the obtained results are that the transfer entropy is modified by distribution entropy of power flow. the findings of this study may do good to the power network vulnerability analysis with large nodes. © 2018 Lavoisier.

Research on the Brain-inspired Cross-modal Neural Cognitive Computing Framework

To address modeling problems of brain-inspired intelligence, this thesis is focused on researching in the semantic-oriented framework design for multimedia and multimodal information. The Multimedia Neural Cognitive Computing (MNCC) model was designed based on the nervous mechanism and cognitive architecture. Furthermore, the semantic-oriented hierarchical Cross-modal Neural Cognitive Computing (CNCC) framework was proposed based on MNCC model, and formal description and analysis for CNCC framework was given. It would effectively improve the performance of semantic processing for multimedia and cross-modal information, and has far-reaching significance for exploration and realization brain-inspired computing.
