In this paper, we consider the occurrence of extreme disasters (e.g., typhoons, rainstorms, etc.) that cause major power outages and disconnect the distribution network from the main network, which can only rely on distributed power sources and mobile power sources in the distribution network to restore power to the distribution network's lost loads. Among them, extreme disasters cause different degrees of damage to the distribution network lines, resulting in the formation of several different islands in the distribution network. The power and load distribution inside each island varies, and in order to maximize the balance of load restoration, mobile electric vehicles need to be dispatched and moved to important lost loads as important power supply resources to realize the source-load balance inside multiple islands, to enhance the efficiency of resource dispatch and the effect of important load restoration in the distribution network to a greater extent, and to realize the optimal on-demand allocation of electric vehicles within the city after the disaster. Finally, the correctness and feasibility are verified on the IEEE 33-node test system. © 2023 IEEE.

The integration of renewable energy sources into the power grid introduces significant volatility, which presents new challenges to maintaining reliable power supply. This increased volatility amplifies the demand for energy storage solutions within distribution networks. To address these challenges, this paper first develops an analytical reliability assessment model and embeds it into an energy storage configuration model. Then the model is converted into a Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model for efficient solution. Case studies demonstrate that this approach can be used for energy storage planning according to different reliability requirements. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we consider that there are different types of charging stations distributed in cities, and according to the charging behavior and driving characteristics of EV users, different charging stations assume different responsibilities and functions to meet the charging needs of different types of EV users. According to the different construction sites, charging stations are mainly divided into two categories: private charging stations and public charging stations. Based on the characteristics of EV charging and the operation characteristics of each type of charging stations, this paper proposes an effective charging station orderly charging planning strategy to realize less charging when the load of distribution network accounts for more and more charging when it accounts for less, so as to realize the reasonable use of multiple types of charging stations, balance the network loss to the greatest extent while ensuring the normal operation of distribution network and meet the effectiveness and sustainability of EV charging. The final calculation verifies the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed strategy. © 2023 IEEE.

Remote operation of protective setting value can enhance the adaptability of protection to real-time operating conditions. As centralized solutions, existing models face information security risks. The decentralized nature of blockchain is advantageous for addressing reliability issues in remote operations. This paper treats the control center and protection relay system sub-stations as nodes in blockchain, proposing a Proof-of- Reliability (PoRel) consensus mechanism based on node reliability. The paper first defines sub-station node types and classification criteria, achieving optimal sub-station node grouping based on 0-1 integer programming. Next, it provides a method for evaluating sub-station node reliability and outlines the consensus mechanism process. Finally, using the IEEE 39-bus system as an example, a blockchain system with 27 sub-station nodes is built using Python software, and the proposed consensus mechanism is simulated and verified. The results indicate that the proposed consensus mechanism improves efficiency, achieves decentralization, and helps ensure reliable relay setting remote operations. © 2024 IEEE.

Conventional nanosecond clock synchronization protocols are generally target-type or content-type, the synchronization rate is low, which leads to the increasing of the mean value difference of synchronization, so we propose to study the design of nanosecond clock synchronization method for real-time transient simulation. Combined with the actual clock synchronization requirements, we first calculate the link congestion coefficient, adopt a multilevel approach to strengthen the synchronization rate, set up a multilevel clock synchronization protocol, based on which we determine the clock source quality coefficients and construct a nanosecond clock synchronization model for real-time transient simulation, and use redundancy processing to achieve clock synchronization. The test results show that compared with the high-efficiency phase-color clock synchronization method and the cross-clock synchronization method, the mean synchronization difference of the designed transient simulation nanosecond clock synchronization method is controlled to be less than 0.5, which indicates that the designed clock synchronization method is more efficient, stable, and targeted, and the synchronization effect is significantly improved. © 2024 IEEE.

To improve the reliability of conventional protection using fault travelling wave, this paper proposes a line traveling wave protection method based on improved Hausdorff distance comparison. The traveling waves at the two sides of the line have different propagation laws and change characteristics during external fault and internal fault. First, the traveling waveform is processed by time matching and segmentation calculation. Second, splitting the long waveform into short waveforms and averaging the waveforms at both sides of the block processing, thus calculating the average Hausdorff distance. Last, using PSCAD building a bipolar DC transmission system for simulation verification, the results show that the improved method has high reliability. © 2024 IEEE.

The wind–thermal bundled power system achieves energy complementarity and optimized scheduling, which is an important way to build a new type of energy system. For the safe and stable operation of the wind–thermal bundled power system, accurate data-driven analysis is necessary to maintain real-time balance between electricity supply and demand. By summarizing the development and characteristics of wind–thermal bundled power system in China and different countries, current research in this field can be clearly defined in two aspects: short-term wind power prediction for wind farms and performance evaluation of automatic generation control (AGC) for thermal power generation units. For short-term wind power prediction, it is recommended to focus on historical data preprocessing and artificial intelligence methods. The technical characteristics of different data-driven wind power prediction methods have been compared in detail. For performance evaluation of AGC units, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on current evaluation methods, including the “permitted-band” and “regulation mileage” methods, as well as the issue of evaluation failure in traditional evaluation methods in practical engineering. Finally, the relative optimal dynamic performance of AGC units was discussed and the future trend of data-driven research in wind–thermal bundled power system was summarized.

Data integrity is often compromised when information is stored, resulting in missing values within tabular datasets. The task of accurately recovering these lost values has emerged as a vibrant area of research. This study introduces a novel generative model termed the Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Imputation Model (DDPIM) that is designed to predict missing data values with both efficiency and precision. DDPIM oper-ates as a diffusion probability model, discerning the true data distribution by first introducing Gaussian noise into clean data and then denoising it during the reverse process. The model commences by training a denoising diffusion model on a complete dataset, thereby acquiring the distribution characteristics of data. Subsequently, this pre-trained model is employed to reconstruct data points that are incomplete, i.e., those that contain missing values. DDPIM utilizes the distribution learned from the diffusion model as prior information and incorporates the known attributes within the incomplete samples as guiding conditions. This approach guides the data points with missing values towards the true data distribution. By leveraging the influence of the known attributes during the denoising phase, the incomplete samples are ultimately aligned with the actual data distribution. Extensive experiments conducted on a wide array of medical datasets demonstrate that our method yields superior performance compared to existing approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

Permanent magnet synchronous motor has been highly concerned in the era of high voltage circuit breaker drive control, in extra to enhancing the torque inactivity proportion of the engine itself, control hypothesis and request technology has been a heated mark in the meadow of change and development. In the past 20 years, the theories of constant voltage frequency ratio, vector control, direct torque control and weak magnetic field control have appeared one after another, and have made gratifying achievements in engineering applications. In this paper, the fundamental control algorithms of lasting magnet synchronous engine for high voltage course breaker and the delegate papers of control algorithms are reviewed, and the development progress is summarized. The challenges and future research directions of high voltage circuit breaker control algorithms are discussed, as well as the application of modern control theory in the control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor are discussed. © 2024 IEEE.

controlled islanding is an important measure to ensure the stability of power system and avoid widespread power outages. However, the traditional research methods based on single-objective optimization neglect the isolated network. To address this issue, a controlled islanding strategy considering the critical nodes in proposed in this paper. Firstly, based on the electrical connections and power flow distribution between nodes, an initial islanding surface is determined with the objective of minimizing power flow impact. Then, considering the electrical coupling connectivity of critical nodes, the final islanding scheme is selected within the neighborhood search space of the initial surface to enhance the stability of isolated subsystems after islanding. The proposed method is simulated and validated based on the 39-noded system, and the simulation results validate the effectiveness and superiority of the method. ©2023 IEEE.
