Recovering unknown topology in a two-layer multiplex network:One layer infers the other layer

There have been increasing interests in studying multiplex dynamical networks *** paper focuses on topology identiflcation of two-layer multiplex networks with peer-to-peer interlayer *** a two-layer network model in which different layers have different coupling patterns,we propose novel methods to recover unknown topological structure of one layer,using the information of the other layer known as a *** proposed methods make full use of the measured evolutional states of the multiplex network itself,and treat the layer with a known structure as an auxiliary layer which is designed to identify the unknown topological *** with the traditional synchronization-based identiflcation method,the proposed methods are in no need of constructing an additional auxiliary network to identify the unknown topological layer,and thus greatly reduce the cost of topology ***,numerical simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

In the last decades,as a typical nonlinear system,active magnetic bearings(AMB) system has been widely applied in manufacturing systems.A sliding mode control(SMC) scheme for the AMB system is proposed with the disturbance observation of the linear extended state observer(LESO) in this *** chattering of the AMB system has been reduced by LESO-SMC by at least 60%.Sufficient BIBO(bounded input-bounded output) stability conditions of the closed-loop AMB system governed by the proposed LESO-SMC are derived by Lyapunov ***,experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed LESO-SMC than conventional SMC.

This paper proposes a distributed controller to equally surround a static target with multiple unmanned surface vessels(USVs).By utilizing the mutually repulsive method,the proposed controller addresses the equally surrounding problem,taking into account the influence of time-varying topologies,and the total number USVs which is a 'global information is not used in the *** asymptotic convergence of the closed-loop multi-USV system is guaranteed with rigorous ***,the effectiveness of the controller is verified by numerical simulations.

Social media is a platform for people to share their lives and interact with others. image sharing is an integral component. Privacy information will inevitably be compromised during the process of sharing whole photos. Sometimes, it is not even caused by the person who shares the image but the third party who forwards the image. In the majority of cases, we do not attempt to protect the entirety of the media;rather, we seek to protect the most crucial portion, whether it is the background or specific objects, which decreasing superfluous cryptography procedures. Unfortunately, current research on such field is extremely rare. In this research, we established a novel pixel-level image encryption technique relying on Panoptic FCN panoramic segmentation and chaos for client-intended images on social media sites. Our suggested technology is capable of automated picture encryption on either the whole images or user-selected areas, whether they are rectangular or irregular, which is suited for all region of interest (ROI) encryption. Relying on a novel coupled chaotic map, this universal new encryption method flattens the array of the image ROI into a series of pixels. The module of Panoptic FCN can be replaced by any other panoptic segmentation models which are stronger in performance. Statistical and cryptographic evaluations demonstrate that our technique preserves the high efficiency for practical applications. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

Bokeh effect transformation is a novel task in computer vision and computational photography. It aims to convert bokeh effects from one camera lens to another. To this end, we introduce a new concept of blur ratio, which represents the ratio of the blur amount of a target image to that of a source image, and propose a novel framework SBTNet based on this concept. For cat-eye simulation and lens type transformation, a two-channel coordinate map and a two-channel one-hot map are added as extra inputs. The core of the framework is a sequence of parallel FeaNets, along with a feature selection and integration strategy, which aims to transform the blur amount with arbitrary blur ratio. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is demonstrated through extensive experiments, and our solution has achieved the top LPIPS metric in NTIRE 2023 Bokeh Effect Transformation Challenge. © 2023 IEEE.

image matting aims to estimate the opacity of foreground objects in order to accurately extract them from the background. Existing methods are only concerned with RGB features to obtain alpha mattes, limiting the perception of local tiny details. To address this issue, we introduce frequency information as an auxiliary clue to accurately distinguish foreground boundaries and propose the Frequency Matting Network (FMN). Specifically, we deploy a Frequency Boosting Module (FBM) in addition to the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to extract frequency information from input images. The proposed FBM is a learnable component that empowers the model to adapt to complex scenarios. Furthermore, we design a Domain Aggregation Module (DAM) to effectively fuse frequency features with RGB features. With the assistance of frequency clues, our proposed FMN achieves significant improvements in matting accuracy and visual quality compared with state-of-the-art methods. Extensive experiments on Composition-1k and Distinctions-646 datasets demonstrate the superiority of introducing frequency information for image matting. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Compared to traditional area coverage algorithms, this paper proposes a re-plannable multi-agent coverage path planning algorithm to address issues such as low coverage rate of multiple agents in large-scale scenarios like warehouses and inability to cope with local environmental changes. Initially, the MSTC∗ algorithm is utilized to create the coverage path based on the available map information. To address scenarios like idle areas for material placement, the method introduces local area detection and path re-planning to enhance the coverage rate. This paper verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm under different maps through simulation experiments. Compared with the coverage situation of other coverage path planning algorithms in environments with local area updates, the algorithm proposed in this paper has a higher coverage rate in this scenario. © 2023 IEEE.

Learning Probabilistic Coordinate Fields for Robust Correspondences

We introduce Probabilistic Coordinate Fields (PCFs), a novel geometric-invariant coordinate representation for image correspondence problems. In contrast to standard Cartesian coordinates, PCFs encode coordinates in correspondence-specific barycentric coordinate systems (BCS) with affine invariance. To know when and where to trust the encoded coordinates, we implement PCFs in a probabilistic network termed PCF-Net, which parameterizes the distribution of coordinate fields as Gaussian mixture models. By jointly optimizing coordinate fields and their confidence conditioned on dense flows, PCF-Net can work with various feature descriptors when quantifying the reliability of PCFs by confidence maps. An interesting observation of this work is that the learned confidence map converges to geometrically coherent and semantically consistent regions, which facilitates robust coordinate representation. By delivering the confident coordinates to keypoint/feature descriptors, we show that PCF-Net can be used as a plug-in to existing correspondence-dependent approaches. Extensive experiments on both indoor and outdoor datasets suggest that accurate geometric invariant coordinates help to achieve the state of the art in several correspondence problems, such as sparse feature matching, dense image registration, camera pose estimation, and consistency filtering. Further, the interpretable confidence map predicted by PCF-Net can also be leveraged to other novel applications from texture transfer to multi-homography classification. © 1979-2012 IEEE.

Whale optimisation algorithm with role labour division for multimodal optimisation

The multimodal optimisation problem challenges the balance between diversity and convergence, which poses a great degree of challenge to traditional population-based intelligence optimisers. The whale optimisation algorithm has the limitation of easily falling into local optimum when facing multimodal optimisation. To address this problem, this paper proposes a whale optimisation algorithm with role labour division (WOA-RDL). In WOA-RDL, a multi-stage role division of labour mechanism is designed to divide the optimisation process into two stages of group hunting. In the first stage, the task allocation in the hunting process is considered as two types of search tasks: exploration and exploitation. The external environmental stimulus of the task and the internal response threshold of the individual were designed to allow individuals to switch between exploration and exploitation tasks flexibly. In the second stage, the distribution mechanism of different roles was designed to simulate the 'strong to weak' distribution rule for the distribution of results after the hunt. The elite roles are selected to further strengthen their capabilities or remain robust, while the inferior roles are predicted and eliminated to improve the overall optimisation of the population and reduce the risk of falling into a local optimum. The results of the optimisation experiments using multimodal, unimodal, CEC2017 combined functions and CEC2009 dynamic functions to validate the effectiveness of the algorithm. Game-based Secondary Control for DC Microgrids with Nash Equilibrium

Voltage regulation and current sharing are two major issues when designing distributed control strategies for DC microgrids. However, power supply economy of local generators also needs to be considered. In this paper, a game-based framework is constructed, where multiple generators are regarded as the participants with secondary control signals being the game actions. A distributed secondary control algorithm is proposed, while information mask is introduced to avoid transmitting true control signal to neighbors. Then, payoff function is designed for each generator, which is composed of voltage regulation error, current sharing error and the local generation cost. It is proved that under the proposed secondary control algorithm in conjunction with the payoff function, a unique Nash equilibrium can be reached. Consequently, the minimum of the payoff function can be achieved, where the optimization of system control behavior and local economic operation can be realized simultaneously. Numerical simulations and experimental tests are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed secondary control strategy within several scenarios. © 1986-2012 IEEE.
