Fractional core-based collapse mechanism and structural optimization in complex systems

Catastrophic and major disasters in real-world systems ranging from financial markets and ecosystems, often show generic early-warning signals that may indicate a collapse. Hence, understanding the collapse mechanism of a complex network and predicting its process are of uttermost importance. However, these challenges are often hindered by the extremely high dimensionality of the underlying *** present here the concept of the fractional core(F-core) that considers the contribution of the network topology and dynamics to systematically analyze the collapse process in such networks, and encompass a broad range of dynamical systems, from mutualistic ecosystems to regulatory dynamics. We offer testable predictions on the tipping point, and, in particular, prove that the extinction of the maximum F-core of a network is an efficient indicator of whether a system completely collapses. The results show that the death of species or cells in a low-order F-core may improve the average density and have little influence on the tipping point. Generally, the principle of the F-core demonstrates how complex systems collapse and opens an innovative optimization strategy to uncover the optimal structure of systems.

Filter bank multicarrier technique (FBMC) is considered as a promising modulation technique suitable for future communications. However, the presence of intrinsic interference prevents the efficient implementation of techniques such as channel estimation. This paper presents a encode double auxiliary pilot channel estimation method (EDAP) for filter bank multicarrier offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC/OQAM) systems. In order to eliminate the intrinsic interference, we add auxiliary symbols around the pilot, and at the same time perform a precoding process to minimize the auxiliary pilot energy loss and computational complexity. In order to validate the above method, the OQAM/FBMC system is modeled. Theoretical analysis and numerical results show that the method improves the channel estimation accuracy by 2.15-3.22 dB in double selective channels while maintaining low power consumption and low complexity. © 2024 IEEE.

The controller and filter design problems of Markov jump systems(MJSs) have gained significant attention over the past few decades. These studies include various aspects,including stochastic stabilization [1], optimal tracking control [2], and dissipative filter design [3]. Although numerous publications address the optimal controller design for MJSs, the issue of hidden MJSs, particularly those with mismatched jumping modes between the system and the controller, has rarely been explored.

In L_(3)-valued propositional logic, a multisequent is a triple Δ∣Θ∣Γ, which is true under an assignment if either some formula in Δ has truth-value t, or some formula in Θ has truth-value m, or some formula in Γ has truth-value f. There is a sound, complete and monotonic Gentzen deduction system G for sequents. Dually, there is a sound, complete and nonmonotonic Gentzen deduction system G′ for co-sequents Δ: Θ: Γ. By taking different quantifiers some or every, there are 8 kinds of definitions of validity of multisequent Δ∣Θ∣Γ and 8 kinds of definitions of validity of co-multisequent Δ: Θ: Γ, and correspondingly there are 8 sound and complete Gentzen deduction systems for sequents and 8 sound and complete Gentzen deduction systems for co-sequents. Correspondingly their monotonicity is discussed.

The main task of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver is to obtain satellite signals, but the signal acquisition operations performed in this process consume a large amount of hardware resources. Compressed sensing is a new signal sampling theory that can reduce the calculation amount of the acquisition process, but it will also bring a certain signal-to-noise ratio loss. In order to improve the acquisition performance on the basis of reducing the amount of signal acquisition calculations, this paper proposes an improved measurement matrix compressed sensing signal partial matched filter-fast Fourier transform (PMF -FFT) acquisition method, which improves the Gaussian random matrix through singular value decomposition and improves the incoherence of the measurement matrix. Simulation results show that this method significantly reduces the amount of acquisition calculations without greatly reducing the acquisition performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the existing hand gesture estimation algorithms with large computation and poor real-time performance, this paper proposes an improved YOLOv8 algorithm for hand recognition, which combines the improved YOLOv8 detection algorithm for the detection of the hand and combines it with gesture analysis to realize gesture recognition. The improved algorithm not only reduces the amount of floating-point arithmetic, but also increases the accuracy and robustness of detection. In the gesture detection part, the traditional YOLOv8 algorithm is improved by firstly adding the p6 detection head, secondly replacing the CBS module with RFSE module, and thirdly replacing the C2f module with CFE module. The gesture analysis part is performed by training the yolov8 classification model for gesture recognition. The test results of the improved model in TV-Hand and COCO-Hand datasets confirm the effectiveness of the improved YOLOv8 algorithm in this paper, which improves the accuracy by 2.3% and reduces the computational volume by 13.5% compared to the original YOLOv8n, and the correct rates of gesture recognition are all over 0%, and the improved algorithm, which ensures the lightweight and at the same time realizes the further enhancement of accuracy The improved algorithm can realize further improvement of accuracy while ensuring lightweight, and the application prospect is broader. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain-Based Privacy-Preserving and Accountable Mobile Edge Outsourcing computing Framework for the Metaverse

Mobile Edge computing (MEC) enables Metaverse Terminal Devices (MTD) to perform complex tasks, including graphic rendering and physical simulation, by leveraging low-latency outsourced computing. However, existing research has not fully addressed the challenge of establishing an efficient outsourced computing service within an open and dynamic MEC environment that simultaneously ensures privacy and accountability. To address this, we proposes a blockchain-based privacy-preserving and accountable mobile edge outsourcing computing framework for the Metaverse, termed Meta-BMEOC. Specifically, we have designed an outsourcing computing protocol based on smart contracts and threshold secret sharing, enabling MTD to outsource tasks to multiple edge servers while preserving privacy. Furthermore, we have developed an off-chain smart contract protocol based on a Trusted Execution Environment. This protocol is designed to reduce the risk of malicious edge servers colluding to reconstruct the computational tasks of MTD, and it enables accountability for servers that return erroneous results. Additionally, we designed an incentive mechanism to resist malicious attacks and ensure system security and stability. Security analysis and experimental evaluation show that Meta-BMEOC not only ensures the privacy and accountability of outsourced computing but also provides outsourced computing services with lower computational latency. © 2017 IEEE.

In order to address the problem of high false alarm rate and low probabilities of infrared small target detection in complex low-altitude background,an infrared small target detection method based on improved weighted local contrast is proposed in this ***,the ratio information between the target and local background is utilized as an enhancement *** local contrast is calculated by incorporating the heterogeneity between the target and local ***,a local product weighted method is designed based on the spatial dissimilarity between target and background to further enhance target while suppressing ***,the location of target is obtained by adaptive threshold *** experimental results demonstrate,the method shows superior performance in several evaluation metrics compared with six existing algorithms on different datasets containing targets such as unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV).

In recent years, the incidence and mortality rates of cardiovascular diseases have been increasing year by year, prompting greater attention to the monitoring of physiological parameters in daily life. This paper proposes a deep physiological parameter detection method based on Image Photoplethysmography (IPPG) technology, overcoming the discomfort of contact-based measurements and the limitation of measuring single physiological indices through intelligent visual means. A lightweight attention mechanism combined with the BHCNN model is designed to automatically extract waveform features of IPPG signals for estimating blood pressure and heart rate in the human body. The mean absolute errors (MAE) of the obtained systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and heart rate are 6.60, 6.22, and 7.15 respectively, with standard deviations (STD) of 3.22, 2.61, and 3.98. The data consistency of both indices exceeds 95%, demonstrating high accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
