With the development of image processing technology and the improvement of people's living standards, there is a wide demand for makeup services in society. In this paper, we focus on style transfer and its application in automatic makeup generation, and propose a facial feature fusion recovery technique that utilizes an adaptive spatial feature fusion attention mechanism to solve the problem of inconsistent clarity between the reference image and the source image. By using the moving least squares method to calculate similarity on each sample image, the reference image set achieving the optimal makeup transfer effect can be efficiently selected. At the same time, the latent vector can be manipulated to achieve on-demand hybrid makeup generation and de-makeup image generation. By assigning different weights, the proportion of makeup in specific reference image in the final makeup effect can be controlled, and a new mixed makeup style can be obtained. The experiment shows that the proposed model can achieve state-of-the-art makeup transfer effect, and can also generate suitable makeup effects for low resolution input images. © 2023 IEEE.

Co-free Li-rich layered oxides(LLOs)are emerging as promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries due to their low cost and high ***,they commonly face severe structural instability and poor electrochemical activity,leading to diminished capacity and voltage ***,we introduce a Co-free LLO,Li_(1.167)Ni_(0.222)Mn_(0.611)O_(2)(Cf-L1),which features a cooperative structure of Li/Ni mixing and stacking *** structure regulates the crystal and electronic structures,resulting in a higher discharge capacity of 300.6 mA h g^(-1)and enhanced rate capability compared to the typical Co-free LLO,Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.2)Mn_(0.6)O_(2)(Cf-Ls).Density functional theory(DFT)indicates that Li/Ni mixing in LLOs leads to increased Li-O-Li configurations and higher anionic redox activities,while stacking faults further optimize the electronic interactions of transition metal(TM)3d and non-bonding O 2p ***,stacking faults accommodate lattice strain,improving electrochemical reversibility during charge/discharge cycles,as demonstrated by the in situ XRD of Cf-L1 showing less lattice evolution than *** study offers a structured approach to developing Co-free LLOs with enhanced capacity,voltage,rate capability,and cyclability,significantly impacting the advancement of the next-generation Li-ion batteries.

Recently, learning-based methods have made significant progress for image specular highlight removal. However, many of these approaches treat all the image pixels uniformly, overlooking the negative impact of invalid pixels on feature reconstruction. This oversight often leads to undesirable outcomes, such as color distortion or residual highlights. In this paper, we propose a novel image specular highlight removal network called HighlightRNet, which utilizes valid pixels as references to reconstruct the highlight-free image. To achieve this, we introduce a context-aware fusion block (CFBlock) that aggregates information in four directions, effectively capturing global contextual information. Additionally, we introduce a location-aware feature transformation module (LFTModule) to adaptively learn the valid pixels for feature reconstruction, thereby avoiding information errors caused by invalid pixels. With these modules, our method can produce high-quality highlight-free results without color distortion and highlight residual. Furthermore, we develop a multiple light image-capturing system to construct a large-scale highlight dataset called NSH, which exhibits minimal misalignment in image pairs and minimal brightness variation in non-highlight regions. Experimental results on various datasets demonstrate the superiority of our method over state-of-the-art methods, both qualitatively and quantitatively. © 2024 ACM.

The uniqueness of folk song expression forms and complex semantic relationships, and the existing models are not good at recognizing the emotion category of folk song lyrics, so an attention TIG-CNN-BiGRU based emotion classification model is proposed. That is, we first propose a text vector representation based on TF-IDF feature weighted pretrained Glove word embedding to extract important features by assigning different weights, and then combine CNN, BiGRU and attention mechanism to extract local features using multi-scale convolutional kernel CNN, BiGRU to capture semantic dependencies of long sequences and attention mechanism to assign high weights to key features to make the model have better lyrics recognition ability. Experiments comparing the model with various baseline methods on the lyrics dataset show that the model outperforms other lyrics sentiment classification models in terms of sentiment classification accuracy and various other metrics. © 2023 IEEE.

When the Convolutional neural network (CNN) has been introduced for computer vision, many researches use CNN-based model to perform salient object detection (SOD). In recent years, The feature pyramid network (FPN) based structure is more popular for salient object detection tasks. In this paper, to improve the overall performance of salient object detection tasks, we propose a dual attention aggregating network (DAANet), which is an FPN-based deep convolutional neural network with a dual attention aggregation module (DAAM) and dilated refinement block (DRB). The DRB module uses convolutions with different dilation rates to expand the receptive field. The DAAM considers the salient map prediction from the low-level output as pseudo-attention which can efficiently aggregate multi-scale information. The convolution block attention module (CBAM) in DAAM can refine the aggregation of pseudo-attention which enables better performance. We evaluate DAANet on six benchmark datasets that prove the effectiveness of DAANet and its components. Our implementation can be found at: https://***/Att100/DAANet. © 2023 IEEE.

Synchronization of Hyper-Lorenz System Based on DNA Strand Displacement

Lorenz system is depicted by chemical reaction equations of an ideal formal chemical reaction network, and a series of reversible reactions are added into chemical reaction network in order to construct a cluster of hyper-Lorenz system. DNA as a universal substrate for chemical dynamics can approximate arbitrary dynamical characteristics of ideal formal chemical reaction network through auxiliary DNA strands and displacement reactions. Based on Lyapunov's stableness theory, a novel synchronization strategy is proposed. A 6-dimensional hyper-Lorenz system is taken as examples for simulation and shows that DNA strands displacement reactions can implement the synchronization of ideal formal chemical reaction networks. Numerical simulations indicate that synchronization based on DNA strand displacement is robust to the detection of DNA strand concentration, control of reaction rate, and noise. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

The data of applications in connected and autonomous vehicles are important, which is usually collected by service providers to improve their services, such as object detection model. But, wireless communication is susceptible to various kinds of attacks. Thus, the data of the application module needs to be securely shared to the corresponding service provider. However, current schemes are with limited performance while a service provider collects multiple application data at the same time. By adopting signcryption and chaotic map, an efficient authentication and key agreement scheme is proposed, while batch authentication is achieved for efficient message authentication of multiple applications, and the efficient revocation is realized based on Chinese remainder theorem under the assistance of trusted execution environment supported vehicle computing/communication unit. The formal security proof shows that the scheme is secure under the random oracle model, and the experiment results shows that the scheme is more efficient than related schemes and can meet the requirements of CAV. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Temporally Consistent Stereo Matching

Stereo matching provides depth estimation from binocular images for downstream applications. These applications mostly take video streams as input and require temporally consistent depth maps. However, existing methods mainly focus on the estimation at the single-frame level. This commonly leads to temporally inconsistent results, especially in ill-posed regions. In this paper, we aim to leverage temporal information to improve the temporal consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of stereo matching. To achieve this, we formulate video stereo matching as a process of temporal disparity completion followed by continuous iterative refinements. Specifically, we first project the disparity of the previous timestamp to the current viewpoint, obtaining a semi-dense disparity map. Then, we complete this map through a disparity completion module to obtain a well-initialized disparity map. The state features from the current completion module and from the past refinement are fused together, providing a temporally coherent state for subsequent refinement. Based on this coherent state, we introduce a dual-space refinement module to iteratively refine the initialized result in both disparity and disparity gradient spaces, improving estimations in ill-posed regions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method effectively alleviates temporal inconsistency while enhancing both accuracy and efficiency. Currently, our method ranks second on the KITTI 2015 benchmark, while achieving superior efficiency compared to other state-of-the-art methods. Multi-label Out-Of-Distribution (OOD) detection aims to discriminate the OOD samples from the multi-label In-Distribution (ID) ones. Compared with its multiclass counterpart, it is crucial to model the joint information among classes. To this end, JointEnergy, which is a representative multi-label OOD inference criterion, summarizes the logits of all the classes. However, we find that JointEnergy can produce an imbalance problem in OOD detection, especially when the model lacks enough discrimination ability. Specifically, we find that the samples only related to minority classes tend to be classified as OOD samples due to the ambiguous energy decision boundary. Besides, imbalanced multi-label learning methods, originally designed for ID ones, would not be suitable for OOD detection scenarios, even producing a serious negative transfer effect. In this paper, we resort to auxiliary outlier exposure (OE) and propose an unknown-aware multi-label learning framework to reshape the uncertainty energy space layout. In this framework, the energy score is separately optimized for tail ID samples and unknown samples, and the energy distribution gap between them is expanded, such that the tail ID samples can have a significantly larger energy score than the OOD ones. What's more, a simple yet effective measure is designed to select more informative OE datasets. Finally, comprehensive experimental results on multiple multi-label and OOD datasets reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method. In this study, we introduce a novel Hybrid Federated Learning (HybridFL) approach aimed at enhancing privacy and accuracy in collaborative machine learning scenarios. Our methodology integrates Differential Privacy (DP) and secret sharing techniques to address inference risks during training and protect against information leakage in the output model. Drawing inspiration from recent advances, we present a HybridFL framework that combines the strengths of Homomorphic Encryption (HE) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to achieve secure computation without the computational overhead of pure HE methods. Our contributions include a privacy-preserving design for Federated Learning (FL) that ensures local data privacy through secret sharing while leveraging DP mechanisms for noise addition. The system offers resilience against unreliable participants and is evaluated using various machine learning models, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLP), and linear regression. Furthermore, we address potential external threats by deploying predictive model outputs as robust services against inference attacks. Experimental results demonstrate improved accuracy and convergence speed, establishing the viability of HybridFL as an effective solution for collaborative machine learning with enhanced privacy guarantees. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2025.
