Freckles is a facial feature of human, it has many significant applications in many video surveillance area. This paper proposes to use deep learning method to perform freckles detection and recognition in face images. To be more specific, a freckle recognition model is proposed in this paper based on convolution neural network. Experimental results are presented to show that the proposed approach is able to achieve 98% accuracy freckle recognition rate.

Speaker diarization in noisy conditions is addressed in this paper. The regression-based DNN is first adopted to map the noisy acoustic features to the clean features, and then consensus clustering of the original and mapped features is used to fuse the diarization results. The experiments are conducted on the IFLY-DIAR-II database, which is a Chinese talk show database with various noise types, such as music, applause and laughter. Compared to the baseline system using PLP features, a 21.26% relative DER improvement can be achieved using the proposed algorithm.

The universal speech attributes for speaker verification (SV) are addressed in this paper. The aim of this work is to exploit fundamental characteristics across different speakers within the deep neural network (DNN)/i-vector framework. The manner and place of articulation form the fundamental speech attribute unit inventory, and new attribute units for acoustic modelling are generated by a two-step automatic clustering method in this paper. The DNN based on universal attribute units is used to generate posterior probability in total variability modelling and i-vector extracting for the speaker recognition procedure. Furthermore, Gaussian mixture models (GMMs) are used to fit the distribution of the features associated with a given context-dependent attribute unit to improve performance. The experiments are carried out on the core test from the NIST SRE 2008 corpus;the proposed system can obtain better performance than all other state-of-the-art systems.

Flexible micro-perforated panel has unique advantages in noise reduction due to its good flexibility compared with traditional rigid microperforated panel. In this paper, flexible microperforated panel was prepared by computer numerical control(CNC) milling machine. Three kinds of plastics including polyvinylchloride(PVC), polyethylene terephthalate(PET), and polyimide(PI) were taken as the matrix materials to prepare flexible microperforated panel. It has been found that flexible microperforated panel made of PET possessing good porosity and proper density, elastic modulus and poisson ratio exhibited the best acoustic absorption properties. The effects of various structural parameters including perforation diameter, perforation ratio,thickness and air gap have also been investigated,which would be helpful to the optimization of acoustic absorption properties.

We propose a new framework combining weak measurement and second-order correlated technique. The theoretical analysis shows that weak value amplification (WVA) experiment can also be implemented by a second-order correlated system. We then build two-dimensional second-order correlated function patterns for achieving higher amplification factor and discuss the signal-to-noise ratio influence. Several advantages can be obtained by our proposal. For instance, detectors with high resolution are not necessary. Moreover, detectors with low saturation intensity are available in WVA setup. Finally, type-one technical noise can be effectively suppressed.

Chinese SRL(Semantic Role Labeling) is a cutting-edge technology in the field of Chinese information processing. Now it has become one of the hottest research areas in Chinese information processing research. In this paper, based on the analysis of the previous SRL theory, the Chinese SRL technology, the comparison of advantages and disadvantages, this paper classifies and discusses the basic algorithm ideas of Chinese SRL. At the same time, the thinking on the SRL system is formed and a Chinese SRL system based on the binary strategy is proposed. The system adopts a binary strategy SRL method, combined with a statistical method based on linear feature combination research, fusion of Chinese short-sentence analysis of the study, to achieve a binary strategy-based Chinese SRL system design and construction. Through the experimental comparison, it is proved that the SRL system based on the binary strategy has a good annotation effect.

The essential feature of conventional proxy-based sliding mode control (PSMC) method is the introduction of a proxy, which is controlled by a normal sliding mode control (SMC) approach to track the desired trajectory. Both the safety problem in conventional stiff position control and the chattering problem in the SMC are overcome by the PSMC strategy. Meanwhile, the stability problem of PSMC is not well addressed for general nonlinear systems. In this paper, a new PSMC method is proposed for robust tracking control of a class of second-order nonlinear systems. A PD type virtual coupling is used and a specified sliding mode controller is designed in the proposed PSMC method. Based on the model of a class of second-order nonlinear systems, the stability of the closed-loop PSMC system is proved by Lyapunov theorem. Numerical simulations were carried out to verify the propose method.
