Bokeh effect transformation is a novel task in computer vision and computational photography. It aims to convert bokeh effects from one camera lens to another. To this end, we introduce a new concept of blur ratio, which represents the ratio of the blur amount of a target image to that of a source image, and propose a novel framework SBTNet based on this concept. For cat-eye simulation and lens type transformation, a two-channel coordinate map and a two-channel one-hot map are added as extra inputs. The core of the framework is a sequence of parallel FeaNets, along with a feature selection and integration strategy, which aims to transform the blur amount with arbitrary blur ratio. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is demonstrated through extensive experiments, and our solution has achieved the top LPIPS metric in NTIRE 2023 Bokeh Effect Transformation Challenge. © 2023 IEEE.

To address the problems of inaccurate event element extraction, inability to directly handle long texts and errors in the fine-tuning stage of the task due to insufficient semantic information and incomplete semantic feature samples in the current Chinese domain event extraction model, this paper proposes the Chinese Event Extraction Algorithm of Multi-Information Semantic Enhancements (MiSE). In the embedding stage, the algorithm is designed a coding structure that fusing multiple information: Using the Roformer model based on rotational encoding for word embedding and text embedding, and augment the Roformer word embedding matrix by mapping the word embedding matrixs of event trigger, argument information and their location information to it , forming an vector matrix that incorporates multiple information;the matrix is then placed into the BiLSTM for forward and backward chain calculation to enhance the model's ability to extract semantic information from Chinese text. In the decoding stage, using the decoding structure to obtain the set of tags with the highest probability. Comparing this algorithm with several Chinese event extraction algorithms on the Baidu DuEE dataset and its extraction results outperformed other event extraction algorithms in all evaluation metrics. © 2023 ACM.

In long-term visual tracking, target occlusion and out-of-view are common problems that lead to target drift, adding re-detection to short-term tracking algorithms is a general solution. To better handle the problem of target disappearing and reappearing in long-term visual tracking, this paper proposes a temporal global re-detection method based on interaction-fusion attention. Firstly, ResNet50 is used as the feature extraction network to obtain the depth features of the template and the search region. Then, a new interaction-fusion attention is added to extract the connection of different dimensionality of features. Finally, Temporal ROI Align is introduced to select candidate boxes, increasing the use of historical information by re-detection method, and improving the accuracy of target localization. STMTrack algorithm is selected as the short-term tracking algorithm, which works with the proposed re-detection method to construct a long-term tracking algorithm, and experiments are conducted on the UAV123, LaSOT, UAV20L, and VOT2018-LT datasets, and the effectiveness of this re-detection method can be seen from the experimental results. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Generating synthetic fake faces, known as pseudo-fake faces, is an effective way to improve the generalization of DeepFake detection. Existing methods typically generate these faces by blending real or fake faces in spatial domain. While these methods have shown promise, they overlook the simulation of frequency distribution in pseudo-fake faces, limiting the learning of generic forgery traces in-depth. To address this, this paper introduces FreqBlender, a new method that can generate pseudo-fake faces by blending frequency knowledge. Concretely, we investigate the major frequency components and propose a Frequency Parsing Network to adaptively partition frequency components related to forgery traces. Then we blend this frequency knowledge from fake faces into real faces to generate pseudo-fake faces. Since there is no ground truth for frequency components, we describe a dedicated training strategy by leveraging the inner correlations among different frequency knowledge to instruct the learning process. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in enhancing DeepFake detection, making it a potential plug-and-play strategy for other methods. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Edible oils derived from aquatic products are rich in lipids beneficial to human ***,the volatile flavor characteristics of flesh oil and liver oil from Doederleinia berycoides remain *** this study,flesh oil and liver oil were extracted from Doederleinia berycoides,revealing different fatty acid compositions and *** analysis identified a total of 124 differential lipids between the flesh oil and liver oil,including 42 glycerophospholipids(GPs),33 glycerolipids(GLs),23 free fatty acids(FAs),13 sphingolipids(SPs),10 sterols(STs),and 3 prenol lipids(PRs).Analysis using HS-GC-IMS identified 12 key volatile compounds that significantly contributed to the distinct volatile flavors of the flesh and liver *** volatile flavors originated from these volatile compounds,which had different Relative Odor Activity Values(ROAVs).Further results from HSSPME-GC-MS showed that the volatile flavors of the flesh oil and liver oil were respectively attributed to 64 and 35 volatile compounds,each with unique key volatile compounds exhibiting different *** were significant positive or negative correlations between 18 key differential lipids and 24 volatile compounds in both flesh oil and liver ***,the complex lipid profiles are responsible for the unique volatile flavors of flesh oil and liver oil,and the differential lipids play a central role in their volatile flavor *** findings provide a foundation for understanding the volatile flavor differences in fish oils and hold promise for further exploration of the molecular mechanisms underlying oil volatile flavors.

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images own dominant merits, such as all-weather and all-day working conditions, but it is difficult for unprofessional people to interpret SAR images. Translating SAR images into optical images to assist interpretation can facilitate the transformation of SAR data into usable information. Therefore, an advanced SAR to Optical (S2O) image translation method utilizing a parallel Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) framework was proposed. This method incorporates an optical image reconstruction network alongside the S2O translation network, enhancing the fidelity and color consistency of the translated images. By employing a domain alignment module and a deep supervision feature loss module, the network effectively utilizes abundant optical image features to overcome the scarcity of SAR-optical image pairs. Experiments conducted on the SEN1-2 dataset demonstrate superior performance over existing methods, particularly in preserving detailed structural information in images. © 2024 IEEE.

Walking with a load brings a significant burden to human shoulders,resulting in increasing metabolic energy consumption and the risk of skeleton and muscle *** backpack has been widely conducted for load-bearing walking,but exiting time-dependent control methods and event-based control methods are unable to exploit the characteristics of human gait *** this case,a time-independent control(TIC) method capable of eliminating the time dependence and adapting to variable speed is *** on the dynamical model of human-backpack system,an assistance profile along with the parameter optimization method are introduced which allows the backpack to reduce the burden on human shoulders during load-bearing *** the simulation evaluation,the proposed TIC method is compared with an impedance controller based time-dependent method and a locked backpack,under both constant speed and variable speed *** results demonstrates that the TIC case achieves an 89.1% reduction in dynamic load on shoulder under the condition of constant speed and a 78.2% reduction under the condition of variable speed,compared with the LOCKED case.

The fusion of a low spatial resolution hyperspectral image (LR-HSI) and a high spatial resolution multispectral image (HR-MSI) in the same scene is a common method to get a high spatial resolution hyperspectral image (HR-HSI). For the drawback that the standard nuclear norm regularization treats each singular value equally, this paper proposes a weighted nuclear norm model based on sparse matrix factorization (called WNNS) for hyperspectral image fusion. Specifically, we promote the sparsity of fused images by adding the 1 norm of coefficients. Furthermore, to preserve important data components, we combine with the weighted nuclear norm regularization, where different weights are given to singular values. To efficiently solve the proposed model, we apply an alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). Experiments show that the proposed method has better performances in terms of numerical results and visual effects. © 2023 SPIE.

Learning Probabilistic Coordinate Fields for Robust Correspondences

We introduce Probabilistic Coordinate Fields (PCFs), a novel geometric-invariant coordinate representation for image correspondence problems. In contrast to standard Cartesian coordinates, PCFs encode coordinates in correspondence-specific barycentric coordinate systems (BCS) with affine invariance. To know when and where to trust the encoded coordinates, we implement PCFs in a probabilistic network termed PCF-Net, which parameterizes the distribution of coordinate fields as Gaussian mixture models. By jointly optimizing coordinate fields and their confidence conditioned on dense flows, PCF-Net can work with various feature descriptors when quantifying the reliability of PCFs by confidence maps. An interesting observation of this work is that the learned confidence map converges to geometrically coherent and semantically consistent regions, which facilitates robust coordinate representation. By delivering the confident coordinates to keypoint/feature descriptors, we show that PCF-Net can be used as a plug-in to existing correspondence-dependent approaches. Extensive experiments on both indoor and outdoor datasets suggest that accurate geometric invariant coordinates help to achieve the state of the art in several correspondence problems, such as sparse feature matching, dense image registration, camera pose estimation, and consistency filtering. Further, the interpretable confidence map predicted by PCF-Net can also be leveraged to other novel applications from texture transfer to multi-homography classification. © 1979-2012 IEEE.

Game-based Secondary Control for DC Microgrids with Nash Equilibrium

Voltage regulation and current sharing are two major issues when designing distributed control strategies for DC microgrids. However, power supply economy of local generators also needs to be considered. In this paper, a game-based framework is constructed, where multiple generators are regarded as the participants with secondary control signals being the game actions. A distributed secondary control algorithm is proposed, while information mask is introduced to avoid transmitting true control signal to neighbors. Then, payoff function is designed for each generator, which is composed of voltage regulation error, current sharing error and the local generation cost. It is proved that under the proposed secondary control algorithm in conjunction with the payoff function, a unique Nash equilibrium can be reached. Consequently, the minimum of the payoff function can be achieved, where the optimization of system control behavior and local economic operation can be realized simultaneously. Numerical simulations and experimental tests are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed secondary control strategy within several scenarios. © 1986-2012 IEEE.
