This article proposes a multi-agent deep reinforce-ment learning algorithm to control a fleet of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) that encircle and capture sea targets. First, a simulation environment for USVs is established based on a dynamic model;two-dimensional control variables are used to control movements in three directions. Second, the multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG) algorithm is employed to achieve intelligent control of the USVs, using a reward function based on certain prior knowledge. Finally, centralized training and decentralized execution are used to complete the offline learning of multiple agents, and continuous action decisions are made based on the observations of the USV sensors. Simulations demonstrate that the method can capture stationary moving sea targets with any number of multi-agents under disturbances, and exhibits strong robustness and practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

In the complex optimization scenarios of real life, we often need to not only weigh the conflicts between multi-objectives but also face the challenges brought by large-scale decision variables. When the scale of decision variables increases sharply, the search space will expand exponentially, which makes it difficult for the algorithm to traverse the whole search space under limited resources, so that the number of local optimal solutions increases sharply. The so-called 'dimension disaster' appears. To effectively deal with this problem, this paper proposes a large-scale multi-objective brainstorm optimization algorithm (LMaOBSO) based on low complexity decision variable classification method and improved penalty boundary intersection strategy. The algorithm uses a low-complexity tree sorting variable classification method to divide the decision variables into converges and diversity variables quickly. At the same time, the convergent variables are optimized by the improved penalty boundary crossover strategy to solve the problems existing in large-scale optimization problems. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Time series data mining is an important problem in data mining. It discovers the intrinsic correlation rules by analyzing a large amount of time series data. However, high-frequency data may exist in the dataset. High-frequency data is the data that occurs frequently in time series data, which will affect the mining of association rules. Traditional time series association mining tends to classify high-frequency data as correlated data because they co-occur too many times. In this paper, we propose the list mining framework to mine the association data by list co-occurrence to achieve the mining of massive data. We divide it into three phases, list generation phase, matrix generation phase, and rule generation phase. First, we create data lists based on time windows. Second, we create the initial count matrix, update the count matrix based on the list, and propose a GCPM algorithm to generate a conditional probability matrix based on the count matrix. Third, we propose a List Mining (LM) algorithm to generate the initial rules based on the conditional probability matrix and optimize the initial rules to get the final association rules. In addition, we weigh the rules according to the list mining method and propose a Weighted List Mining (WLM) algorithm to filter rules by reducing the weight of frequent item interference. The experimental results show that LM and WLM can effectively improve the accuracy of mining results. © 2022 IEEE.

To solve the problem of low accuracy of gait recognition in complex scenes, a novel skeleton-based gait recognition algorithm, GCGait, is proposed. Taking human posture as the input of gait feature, the interference caused by wearing changes and other factors is reduced. To extract sufficient input features, multi-branch input is used in the early stage of the model. By introducing the multi-attention mechanism, the network can learn the semantic information of the non-directly connected joints, excavate the most discriminative features from complex videos, and further improve the recognition performance. In order to reduce the influence of cross view, the fusion loss function is used in the experiment. Experimental results show that the average recognition rate of the proposed algorithm on the CASIA-B dataset is improved by 5.2%, and the average recognition accuracy on the OU-MVLP dataset is increased by 66.3%, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells(PEMFCs) are prone to decreased lifespan due to the degradation of the plat-inum(Pt) catalyst during operation. In this study, we have established a one-dimensional model to investigate the effects of different voltage conditions on Pt degradation. High potential is found to be the most significant factor affecting the degradation. Prolonged exposure to high potentials will significantly reduce the PEMFC's lifespan, and frequent voltage changes will exac-erbate the problem. To mitigate this issue, we have designed three energy management strategies with different limitations and simulated their performance in the operating scenario of a fuel-cell hybrid electric vehicle(FCHEV). The results demonstrate that strategies restricting high potential occurrences and voltage variations can effectively alleviate Pt degradation. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Nested Saturated Control of Uncertain Complex Cascade Systems Using Mixed Saturation Levels

This study addresses the problem of global asymptotic stability for uncertain complex cascade systems composed of multiple integrator systems and non-strict feedforward nonlinear systems. To tackle the complexity inherent in such structures, a novel nested saturated control design is proposed that incorporates both constant saturation levels and state-dependent saturation levels. Specifically, a modified differentiable saturation function is proposed to facilitate the saturation reduction analysis of the uncertain complex cascade systems under the presence of mixed saturation levels. In addition, the design of modified differentiable saturation function will help to construct a hierarchical global convergence strategy to improve the robustness of control design scheme. Through calculation of relevant inequalities, time derivative of boundary surface and simple Lyapunov function,saturation reduction analysis and convergence analysis are carried out, and then a set of explicit parameter conditions are provided to ensure global asymptotic stability in the closed-loop systems. Finally, a simplified system of the mechanical model is presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Object goal navigation requires an agent to navigate to a specified object in an unseen environment based on visual observations and user-specified goals. Human decision-making in navigation is sequential, planning a most likely sequence of actions toward the goal. However, existing ObjectNav methods, both end-to-end learning methods and modular methods, rely on single-step planning. They output the next action based on the current model input, which easily overlooks temporal consistency and leads to myopic planning. To this end, we aim to learn sequence planning for ObjectNav. Specifically, we propose trajectory diffusion to learn the distribution of trajectory sequences conditioned on the current observation and the goal. We utilize DDPM and automatically collected optimal trajectory segments to train the trajectory diffusion. Once the trajectory diffusion model is trained, it can generate a temporally coherent sequence of future trajectory for agent based on its current observations. Experimental results on the Gibson and MP3D datasets demonstrate that the generated trajectories effectively guide the agent, resulting in more accurate and efficient navigation. Carbonyl sulfide(COS)is an effective tracer for estimating Gross Primary Productivity(GPP)in the carbon *** the largest contribution to the atmosphere,anthropogenic COS emissions must be accurately *** this study,an anthropogenic COS emission inventory from 2015 to 2021 was constructed by applying the bottom-up approach based on activity data from emission ***’s anthropogenic COS emissions increased from approximately 171 to 198 Gg S yr^(-1)from 2015-2021,differing from the trends of other *** an initial decline in COS emissions across sectors during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic,a rapid rebound in emissions occurred following the resumption of economic *** 2021,industrial sources,coal combustion,agriculture and vehicle exhaust accounted for 76.8%,12.3%,10.5%and 0.4%of total COS emissions,*** aluminum industry was the primary COS emitter among industrial sources,contributing40.7% of total ***,Shanxi,and Zhejiang were the top three provinces in terms of anthropogenic COS emissions,reaching 39,21 and 17 Gg S yr-1,***-level regions(hereafter province)with high COS emissions are observed mainly in the eastern and coastal regions of China,which,together with the wind direction,helps explain the pattern of high COS concentrations in the Western Pacific Ocean in *** Green Contribution Coefficient of COS(GCCCOS)was used to assess the relationship between GDP and COS emissions,highlighting the disparity between GDP and COS contributions to green *** part of this analysis,relevant recommendations are proposed to address this *** COS emission inventory in our study can be used as input for the Sulfur Transport and Deposition Model(STEM),reducing uncertainties in the atmospheric COS source?sink budget and promoting understanding of the atmosphere sulfur cycle.

Open-Vocabulary Semantic Segmentation with Image Embedding Balancing

Open-vocabulary semantic segmentation is a challenging task, which requires the model to output semantic masks of an image beyond a close-set vocabulary. Although many efforts have been made to utilize powerful CLIP models to accomplish this task, they are still easily overfitting to training classes due to the natural gaps in semantic information between training and new classes. To overcome this challenge, we propose a novel framework for open-vocabulary semantic segmentation called EBSeg, incorporating an Adaptively Balanced Decoder (AdaB Decoder) and a Semantic Structure Consistency loss (SSC Loss). The AdaB Decoder is designed to generate different image embeddings for both training and new classes. Subsequently, these two types of embeddings are adaptively balanced to fully exploit their ability to recognize training classes and generalization ability for new classes. To learn a consistent semantic structure from CLIP, the SSC Loss aligns the inter-classes affinity in the image feature space with that in the text feature space of CLIP, thereby improving the generalization ability of our model. Furthermore, we employ a frozen SAM image encoder to complement the spatial information that CLIP features lack due to the low training image resolution and image-level supervision inherent in CLIP. Extensive experiments conducted across various benchmarks demonstrate that the proposed EBSeg outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.
