Semantic segmentation of remote sensing images has significant applications across various scenarios. The prevailing frameworks include Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Transformer. However, CNN is limited by the receptive field of convolutions, while the Transformer is constrained by computational complexity, which restricts attention calculations to local windows and fails to effectively address long-range dependency modeling. The efficient Mamba architecture, characterized by linear complexity, offers a promising solution to these challenges. Inspired by Mamba, we propose a dual-branch network based on ViT and Mamba. The Vision Transformer (ViT) branch incorporates the Swin Transformer to model spatial details while maintaining computational complexity within acceptable bounds. Complementarily, the Mamba branch efficiently captures global context and long-range dependencies. Additionally, to suppress noise and conflicting information arising from the fusion of features from different frameworks, we design the Cross-Model Fusion Module (CMFM) and the Cross-Model Relevance Loss (CMRLoss) to achieve semantic consistency in the fusion process. The comprehensive experimental findings on the commonly utilized GaoFen-2 and iSAID datasets clearly illustrate the advantages of our proposed approach compared to the leading methods in the field.

In this work, a cross-domain PAPR reduction scheme is proposed, which is a combination of the phase rotation in the Delay-Doppler (DD) domain and the iterative clipping filtering (ICF) in the time domain. The former technique is distortion-less to the signals while incurring additional signaling overhead between the transceivers. The latter technique is more effective for PAPR reduction, but it can cause increased signal detection errors. Therefore, by leveraging the advantages of the two techniques, the proposed scheme can achieve improved PAPR reduction, given a trade-off between the signaling overhead and the bit error rate (BER). Specifically, the phase-rotation vectors optimization problem in the DD domain is formulated, and an iterative algorithm based on successive convex approximation (SCA) method and penalty convex-concave procedure (PCCP) is employed to solve this non-convex problem. Considering the phase quantization and signaling overhead in practical systems, a low-overhead group randomization algorithm is proposed to select the phase mapping in the grouped phase rotation stage, while the linear filtering is applied in the ICF stage, which can flexibly adjust the signaling overhead and the BER. Compared to the existing methods, numerical simulations justify the advantages of the proposed scheme, which further reduces 1-3 dB PAPR, while causing a lower BER.

In this paper, a novel fixed-time formation control algorithm is proposed for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) in environments where global navigation satellite system(GNSS) is denied, where the absolute positions of UAVs are unmeasurable, and only relative positions are accessible. To address this challenge, firstly, a composite observers is designed with one estimating relative positions between leader and followers and the other being a distributed fixed-time velocity *** integration of these observers enables each follower to obtain relative position and velocity of the leader within a fixed ***, based on the composite observers and the desired formation matrix, a fixed-time controller is formulated aiming to achieve the formation task within a fixed time. Furthermore, Lyapunov stability theory demonstrates that the designed observers and controller can successfully accomplish the formation task within a fixed time. Finally, numerical simulations validate the effectiveness of the analytical results.

Nowadays, image recognition plays a pivotal role in acquiring data via sensors. However, the adaptability of traditional algorithms is hindered by the unpredictable nature of open environments, varying sensor quality, and image dimensions. Challenges arise in adverse conditions like inclement weather, low light, and optical distortions. Retinex-based methods have emerged as a viable solution, effectively enhancing images plagued by shadows or poor lighting. Yet, issues surface when images possess saturated colors;the conventional multi-scale Retinex with color restoration risks color inversion. Moreover, during gain compensation, extreme histogram values occupy significant gray level space, obscuring vital image details. This study delves into these challenges and proposes an enhanced multi-scale Retinex algorithm. Our approach substitutes logarithmic functions with tansig functions, eliminating color inversion risks. Additionally, a novel gain compensation method, integrating histogram stretching with Gamma correction, refines image clarity. The algorithm's robustness is evidenced in diverse scenarios, including adverse weather, low light, underwater imaging, and non-uniform lighting. Experimental results validate our method's superiority, surpassing other Retinex-based techniques both qualitatively and quantitatively. This research contributes valuable insights into image enhancement methodologies, fostering advancements in sensor-based data gathering in Smart Spaces. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. The fundamental performance limit of wireless systems is closely related to the transmission strategy of the transceivers as well as the wireless channels. As the channels are determined by the intrinsic characteristics of the environments, traditional system design is transceiver-centric, which adapts the transmit signals to the environments. Sharply different from the transceiver-centric design, by introducing the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) into wireless systems, both the transceivers and the channels can be designed by properly adjusting the deployment of RIS panels as well as the phase-change and amplification of the RIS elements. However, as the RIS induces structural changes to the wireless channels, it is difficult to analyze and optimize the RIS-assisted systems in a unified framework. In this paper, we adopt the operatorvalued free probability theory to analyze the ergodic sum rate of an uplink MU-MIMO communication systems assisted by multiple cascaded RIS panels, where the sum rate is derived for rather generic system configurations, allowing arbitrary number of transceivers’ antennas, number of RIS panels, and a generic fading model. The obtained sum rate expression also enables a unified optimization framework that jointly designs the multi-antenna transceivers and the RIS configurations. Finally, numerical results are provided to verify the accuracy of the derived ergodic sum rate, and to show the performance of the joint optimization algorithms.

Spontaneous behaviors in speech pose significant challenges for speech synthesis. Existing research has not adequately addressed these behaviors, with most studies relying on specially recorded datasets. In contrast, real-world data more accurately reflects the natural, spontaneous speaking styles in everyday life and encompasses a wider range of spontaneous behaviors. However, such data is often of lower quality, and the distribution of spontaneous behaviors is highly imbalanced. In this study, we explore spontaneous speech synthesis using real-world data within the VITS2 framework. To overcome these challenges, we introduce two techniques: anchored monotonic alignment and spontaneous hidden representation substitution. Experimental results demonstrate that these methods enhance model alignment and improve the naturalness of the generated speech. Our proposed approach successfully addresses the challenge of synthesizing rare spontaneous behaviors and offers users flexible control over the synthesized speech. © 2025 IEEE.

In this article, the leader-follower time-varying output formation control problem of heterogeneous multiagent systems(MASs) in the presence of continuous false data injection (FDI) attacks and unknown external disturbances is investigated. A hierarchical event-triggered control frame, including communication layer and controller layer, is constructed. In the communication layer, a distributed event-triggered estimator is proposed to estimate the leader's state and release the communication burden. In the controller layer, a robust adaptive state observer is firstly designed to estimate the follower's state with eliminating the influence of continuous FDI attacks and unknown external disturbances, then an output feedback event-triggered controller is developed to track the estimated leader's state. The proposed framework not only reduces the transmission burden but also eliminates the impact of attacks and disturbances. Finally, an illustrative simulation is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

A Hardware Implementation of Spaceborne SAR BP Algorithm Based on Precise Region Focusing and Hardware-Software Collaboration

Onboard imaging of Spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a key technology in the field of high-timeliness remote sensing applications. It adopts the hardware platform deployed on the satellite to convert the SAR radar echoes into visual images. Combined with image detection and recognition, it can rapidly downlink and distribute the effective information. At present, high-resolution and wide-swath imaging is the development trend of spaceborne SAR imaging. The Back Projection (BP) algorithm is an excellent high-resolution imaging algorithm for spaceborne SAR, but it demands large storage resources and involves heavy computations. Given the limited resources of the satellite's hardware platform, the traditional hardware implementation of the algorithm can hardly support large-scale scenes imaging. Even if it can, the imaging time is extremely long. This paper proposes an improved Cartesian Factorized Back Projection (CFBP) algorithm based on precise region focusing. By dividing the imaging sub-regions and using a stepped data reading method, the demand for storage can be significantly reduced. Moreover, a software-hardware collaboration method based on scheduling acceleration is put forward. Through constructing an ultra-long projection pipeline, the continuity and speed of the algorithm execution can be enhanced. According to the proposed method, a Projection Intellectual Property (IP) and a complete imaging system are constructed using the Xilinx VU9P Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) board. Experimental results show that the Projection IP can save up to 40.78% - 85.09% of Random Access Memory Blocks (BRAM) , and the projection calculation time can be reduced by up to 54.54%. The complete imaging system can process the improved CFBP projection algorithm for images of sizes 32K × 32K, 16K × 16K, and 8K × 8K within 2308.11 seconds, 598.07 seconds, and 167.81 seconds, respectively. Vision-centric autonomous driving systems require diverse data for robust training and evaluation, which can be augmented by manipulating object positions and appearances within existing scene captures. While recent advancements in diffusion models have shown promise in video editing, their application to object manipulation in driving scenarios remains challenging due to imprecise positional control and difficulties in preserving high-fidelity object appearances. To address these challenges in position and appearance control, we introduce DriveEditor, a diffusion-based framework for object editing in driving videos. DriveEditor offers a unified framework for comprehensive object editing operations, including repositioning, replacement, deletion, and insertion. These diverse manipulations are all achieved through a shared set of varying inputs, processed by identical position control and appearance maintenance modules. The position control module projects the given 3D bounding box while preserving depth information and hierarchically injects it into the diffusion process, enabling precise control over object position and orientation. The appearance maintenance module preserves consistent attributes with a single reference image by employing a three-tiered approach: low-level detail preservation, high-level semantic maintenance, and the integration of 3D priors from a novel view synthesis model. Extensive qualitative and quantitative evaluations on the nuScenes dataset demonstrate DriveEditor’s exceptional fidelity and controllability in generating diverse driving scene edits, as well as its remarkable ability to facilitate downstream tasks. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***).
