In the fields of information security, the application of random numbers is becoming more and more widespread. True random numbers (TRNs) tend to have better randomness and unpredictability than pseudo random numbers (PRNs). Chaotic systems are very suitable for constructing true random number generators (TRNG) due to their periodic infinity, randomicity, long-term unpredictability, high sensitivity to initial values and parameters, etc. However, when chaotic systems are implemented by finite state machines, their dynamic characteristics will disappear, such as periodic infinity and initial value sensitivity, and there are serious safety concerns about the random number generator designed on this basis. In order to address the degradation problem of the chaotic systems, this paper proposes a true random number generator based on the chaotic circuit, implements a complete hardware system, and tests its randomness. © 2022 SPIE.

A Stronger Leakage Model Based on Conditional Generative Adversarial Networks for Correlation Power Analysis

Deep learning-based side-channel attacks (DL-SCA) have attracted widespread attention in recent years, and most of the researchers are devoted to finding the optimal DL-SCA method. At the same time, traditional SCA methods have lost their luster. However, traditional attacks still have certain advantages. Compared with the DL-SCA method, they do not require cumbersome engineering of tuning DL models and hyperparameters, making them easier to implement. Correlation power analysis (CPA), as a traditional SCA method, is still widely used in various analysis scenarios and plays an important role. In CPA, the leakage model is the key to simulating the power consumption, and it decides the attack efficiency. However, the existing leakage models are designed based on theory but ignore the actual attack scene. We found that conditional generative adversarial networks (CGAN) can ideally learn the target device's leakage characteristics and real power consumption. We let CGAN pre-learn the leakage of the target device, and then make the generator as the leakage model (Formula presented.). The (Formula presented.) leakage model can characterize the leakages of the device and consider the presence of noise in the actual scenario. It can map the power consumption more realistically and accurately, which can lead to a more powerful CPA attack. In this work, three kinds of (Formula presented.) leakage models ((Formula presented.) 1, (Formula presented.) 2, and (Formula presented.) 3 leakage models) corresponding to the labels least significant bit (LSB), hamming weight (HW), and identity (ID) of CGAN are discussed. The experimental results show that the (Formula presented.) 3 leakage model has better attack performance. Compared with the ordinary HW leakage model, the number of traces needed to recover the key on the ASCAD and SAKURA-AES datasets reduced by about 38.9% and 85.9%, respectively. © 2025 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

At present, the existing attribute reduction algorithm combining artificial bee colony and neighborhood rough set basically uses the attribute dependence and the number of attribute subsets as parameters to construct the fitness function, while ignoring the role of heuristic information. As a result, the number of bee colony iterations increases, and the convergence speed is slow. Aiming at this kind of problem, an improved method is proposed. First, a discernibility matrix under the neighborhood rough set is defined;secondly, an attribute importance measurement method of the discernibility matrix under the neighborhood decision system is proposed;The attribute importance of the domain discrimination matrix constructs a new fitness function for the heuristic factor;finally, an attribute selection algorithm for artificial bee colony algorithm and neighborhood discrimination matrix importance optimization is designed. Compared with the original algorithm, the new method reduces the number of generations, accelerates the convergence speed, and retains the minimum attribute reduction collected during each iteration, and multiple minimum attribute reductions can be obtained. The experimental results on the UCI data set prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm. © 2022, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Tunnel Try-on: Excavating Spatial-temporal Tunnels for High-quality Virtual Try-on in Videos

Video try-on is a challenging task and has not been well tackled in previous works. The main obstacle lies in preserving the details of the clothing and modeling the coherent motions simultaneously. Faced with those difficulties, we address video try-on by proposing a diffusion-based framework named"Tunnel Try-on." The core idea is excavating a "focus tunnel" in the input video that gives closeup shots around the clothing regions. We zoom in on the region in the tunnel to better preserve the fine details of the clothing. To generate coherent motions, we first leverage the Kalman filter to construct smooth crops in the focus tunnel and inject the position embedding of the tunnel into attention layers to improve the continuity of the generated videos. In addition, we develop an environment encoder to extract the context information outside the tunnels as supplementary cues. Equipped with these techniques, Tunnel Try-on keeps the fine details of the clothing and synthesizes stable and smooth videos. Demonstrating significant advancements, Tunnel Try-on could be regarded as the first attempt toward the commercial-level application of virtual try-on in videos. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Natural scenes are rich and varied in text presentation and complex in the background. These characteristics are likely to cause problems such as missing text and difficulties in coordinate regression during detection. At the same time, the gradient disappears due to the long text sequence in the recognition stage, thus causing poor correlation before and after the text. In order to address the issue, this research suggests an end-To-end scene text detection and identification model that emphasizes spatial image data and long-range text relevance. The model uses the ABCNet network as the underlying structure. In the detection stage, this paper uses ResNet to extract image features, feature fusion with iterative FPN, convolution using convolutional blocks with coordinate information, and finally, focus the coordinate information by coordinated attention mechanism. This paper uses a combination of Transformer and LSTM coding blocks in the recognition phase to encode the detection region. It uses Transformer to obtain textual long-sequence relations, LSTM to enhance short-range information, and a lightweight attention mechanism to decode. The experimental findings demonstrate that the suggested model outperforms more widely used approaches in terms of text localisation and recognition. © 2023 IEEE.

The evaluation of programming course instruction is a key component of educational management. However, relying solely on supervising teachers for assessment poses challenges in comprehensive evaluation and providing feedback on students' classroom learning status. Additionally, a significant amount of monitoring video data from programming courses in Chinese universities remains underutilized. To address these challenges, this paper combines traditional educational management with artificial intelligence and proposes an intelligent algorithm for detecting students' learning status in programming courses. We first establish a dual YOLO network model to analyze students' postures and screen content in programming classroom monitoring videos, thereby identifying their behaviors. Subsequently, we develop a Programming Classroom Student Behavior Recognition System (PCSBS) that integrates data collection, student behavior detection, and result visualization functionalities. Experimental results demonstrate that the system can accurately provide feedback on students' programming course learning status, offering graded results that assist supervising teachers in their classroom instructional evaluation tasks to enhance educational management efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays the security of images is obviously more important. Some scholars have applied Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) algorithm and Chen chaotic system to image encryption. However, the application of the two methods in image encryption can still be explored. In this paper, it proposes an encryption scheme which uses asymmetric cipher RSA encryption algorithm and Chen chaotic system to scramble and diffuse the image. In this encryption scheme, firstly, it applies the RSA algorithm to obtain the public key and uses the specified formula to calculate the initial value of the Chen chaotic system. Secondly, the four chaotic sequences generated by Chen chaotic system are applied to the scrambling stage and the diffusion stage of the image process respectively. In the scrambling phase, it uses Arnold scrambling. It performs forward XOR diffusion and then performs reverse XOR diffusion in the diffusion stage. Finally, the encryption process is all completed and the encrypted image is obtained. Moreover, after appropriate experiments, the encryption algorithm is proved to have a good guarantee for the security of the image. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Meta Ordinal Regression Forest for Medical Image Classification With Ordinal Labels

The performance of medical image classification has been enhanced by deep convolutional neural networks(CNNs),which are typically trained with cross-entropy(CE)***,when the label presents an intrinsic ordinal property in nature,e.g.,the development from benign to malignant tumor,CE loss cannot take into account such ordinal information to allow for better *** improve model generalization with ordinal information,we propose a novel meta ordinal regression forest(MORF)method for medical image classification with ordinal labels,which learns the ordinal relationship through the combination of convolutional neural network and differential forest in a meta-learning *** merits of the proposed MORF come from the following two components:A tree-wise weighting net(TWW-Net)and a grouped feature selection(GFS)***,the TWW-Net assigns each tree in the forest with a specific weight that is mapped from the classification loss of the corresponding ***,all the trees possess varying weights,which is helpful for alleviating the tree-wise prediction ***,the GFS module enables a dynamic forest rather than a fixed one that was previously used,allowing for random feature *** training,we alternatively optimize the parameters of the CNN backbone and TWW-Net in the meta-learning framework through calculating the Hessian *** results on two medical image classification datasets with ordinal labels,i.e.,LIDC-IDRI and Breast Ultrasound datasets,demonstrate the superior performances of our MORF method over existing state-of-the-art methods.

For the features of Zigzag transformation, a Bidirectional Deformed Zigzag (BD-Zigzag) transformation is proposed in this paper, which starts from both sides of the diagonal and crosses in both directions. This method is more complex than the traditional Zigzag transformation method and has better dislocation effect. Then, a Hyperchaotic image encryption algorithm based on BD-Zigzag transformation and DNA coding is proposed. First, the images are processed with multiple rounds of permutations using the BD-Zigzag transformation. Second, a 4D-hyperchaotic Lorenz system is used to produce random numbers to permute the images at the bit level. Finally, DNA encoding is used to diffuse the pixels in the image. The experimental simulations and performance analysis data can prove that the encryption algorithm has high-level security capability. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
