A low coupling sparse array (LCSA) is presented, analyzed and discussed on the basis of the recent proposed uniform linear array (ULA) fitting scheme with close-expressions, and its performance with different uniform subarrays in the basic layer is investigated via parameter estimation like direction-of-arrival(DOA). The results gives a superior performance for the presented LCSA. © 2022 IEEE.

A high-order spatial filtering-symplectic finite difference time domain (SF-SFDTD) scheme with controllable stability condition is proposed to solve the time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE). Firstly, the higher-order symplectic framework for the discretization of Schrödinger equation is described, and then the spatial filtering method is carried out to extend the stability of the standard SFDTD method. Finally, a numerical example is given to evaluate the correctness of the SF-SFDTD method in numerical solving Schrödinger equation. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper introduces the application of unconditionally stable locally one-dimensional finite-difference time-domain(LOD-FDTD) method to 3D multi-pole Debye dispersive media model. Compared with other methods for dispersive media, the Z-transform method does not need to retain the electromagnetic values of the previous moments, has less memory footprint, and its numerical implementation is more straightforward. Through numerical examples, ZT-LOD-FDTD shows the advantages of accuracy and high computational efficiency. © 2022 IEEE.

A Hybrid Iterative Neural Solver Based on Spectral Analysis for Parametric PDEs

Recently, deep learning-based hybrid iterative methods (DL-HIM) have emerged as a promising approach for designing fast neural solvers to tackle large-scale sparse linear systems. DL-HIM combine the smoothing effect of simple iterative methods with the spectral bias of neural networks, which allows them to effectively eliminate both high-frequency and low-frequency error components. However, their efficiency may decrease if simple iterative methods can not provide effective smoothing, making it difficult for the neural network to learn mid-frequency and high-frequency components. This paper first conducts a convergence analysis for general DL-HIM from a spectral viewpoint, concluding that under reasonable assumptions, DL-HIM exhibit a convergence rate independent of grid size h and physical parameters µ. To meet these assumptions, we design a neural network from an eigen perspective, focusing on learning the eigenvalues and eigenvectors corresponding to error components that simple iterative methods struggle to eliminate. Specifically, the eigenvalues are learned by a meta subnet, while the eigenvectors are approximated using Fourier modes with a transition matrix provided by another meta subnet. The resulting DL-HIM, termed the Fourier Neural Solver (FNS), can be trained to achieve a convergence rate independent of grid size and PDE parameters by designing a loss function that ensures the neural network complements the smoothing effect of Jacobi iterative methods. SGCN: A Scalable Graph Convolutional Network with Graph-Shaped Kernels and Multi-Channels

Graph neural networks (GNNs) have shown great success in graph processing. However, current message-passing-based GNNs have limitations in feature aggregations and update mechanisms that rely on a fixed mode, resulting in inadequate representations of the neighborhood structure's richness. Furthermore, the convolution layer in most GNNs lacks flexibility and multi-channels compared to convolutional neural networks (CNNs). CNNs employ multiple channels, where different kernels capture shared patterns of images. To address the limitations, we propose a novel scalable graph convolution network (SGCN). SGCN enhances structural information learning by introducing an expressive feature aggregation mechanism. Drawing inspiration from the design of CNNs, SGCN designs graph-shaped kernels to perform multi-channel convolutions on the subgraph structure. A sampler based on degree centrality is employed to simplify the computation costs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SGCN achieved state-of-the-art performances on various scales of graph datasets (accuracy improved up to 5.38%). © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

An improved estimation of distribution algorithm for multi-compartment electric vehicle routing problem

The multi-compartment electric vehicle routing problem(EVRP)with soft time window and multiple charging types(MCEVRP-STW&MCT)is studied,in which electric multi-compartment vehicles that are environmentally friendly but need to be recharged in course of transport process,are employed.A mathematical model for this optimization problem is established with the objective of minimizing the function composed of vehicle cost,distribution cost,time window penalty cost and charging service *** solve the problem,an estimation of the distribution algorithm based on Lévy flight(EDA-LF)is proposed to perform a local search at each iteration to prevent the algorithm from falling into local *** results demonstrate that the EDA-LF algorithm can find better solutions and has stronger robustness than the basic EDA *** addition,when comparing with existing algorithms,the result shows that the EDA-LF can often get better solutions in a relatively short time when solving medium and large-scale *** experiments show that using electric multi-compartment vehicles to deliver incompatible products can produce better results than using traditional fuel vehicles.

In terminal cooperative communication, relay assisted communication with buffer has significant advantages in improving system throughput, signal-to-noise ratio, and reducing system outage probability. The existing relay methods with buffer are all fixed buffer method with a fixed size of the buffer and only considering relay wholehearted cooperation and forwarding, that is, all buffer of the relay assists communication. However, when the forwarding task is small and there is a large idle in forwarding buffer, the buffer area cannot be fully utilized. When the forwarding task is large and forwarding buffer is busy, packet loss may occur in the forwarding task. In order to improve the usage efficiency of relay buffer and reduce packet loss, this paper proposes a relay buffer prediction method based on the long short-term memory network to predict the amount of data that the relay needs to forward. According to the prediction, the size of the relay buffer is divided, so that the buffer can be dynamically adjusted on demand. Simulation results show that, compared with the fixed buffer method, the relay buffer prediction method has a better buffer usage efficiency and a lower packet loss rate.

Momentum-Accelerated Richardson(m) and Their Multilevel Neural Solvers

Recently, designing neural solvers for large-scale linear systems of equations has emerged as a promising approach in scientific and engineering computing. This paper first introduce the Richardson(m) neural solver by employing a meta network to predict the weights of the long-step Richardson iterative method. Next, by incorporating momentum and preconditioning techniques, we further enhance convergence. Numerical experiments on anisotropic second-order elliptic equations demonstrate that these new solvers achieve faster convergence and lower computational complexity compared to both the Chebyshev iterative method with optimal weights and the Chebyshev semi-iteration method. To address the strong dependence of the aforementioned single-level neural solvers on PDE parameters and grid size, we integrate them with two multilevel neural solvers developed in recent years. Using alternating optimization techniques, we construct Richardson(m)FNS for anisotropic equations and NAG-Richardson(m)-WANS for the Helmholtz equation. Numerical experiments show that these two multilevel neural solvers effectively overcome the drawback of single-level methods, providing better robustness and computational efficiency. In this paper, we apply the practical GADI-HS iteration as a smoother in algebraic multigrid (AMG) method for solving second-order non-selfadjoint elliptic problem. Additionally, we prove the convergence of the derived algorithm and introduce a data-driven parameter learing method called Gaussian process regression (GPR) to predict optimal parameters. Numerical experimental results show that using GPR to predict parameters can save a significant amount of time cost and approach the optimal parameters accurately. © 2024, CC BY.
