An activated carbon (AC)/MnO2 composite electrode material (MAC) was prepared by vacuum impregnation and chemical precipitation methods. The as prepared MAC was characterized by means of SEM, EDS and XRD and its electrochemical performance was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, A. C. impedance and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests. Test results showed that AC particles were coated with γ-MnO2. Under a current density of 200 mA/g, the specific capacity of the composite reached 417 F/g at first cycle, and declined to 337 F/g after 100 cycles, which was 116% higher than AC. The composite also showed specific capacitances 231 F/g at a higher current density of 200 mA/g, which is 99% higher than AC, exhibiting a better rate performance.

To improve the dispersibility of carbon microspheres (CMSs), their surfaces were first oxidized by a mixture of concentrated HNO3 and H2O2. Then oxidized-CMSs were self-assembled by vertical deposition, and the effects of solvent, pH value of the suspension, suspension concentration and reaction temperature on self-assembly were investigated. The morphologies of all samples were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The results showed that the CMSs film with more ordered and denser structure was obtained using NaOH solution as solvent for preparing suspension, at suspension concentration of 2%(mass), pH of 13 and deposition temperature of 50°C. The sample showed good reflection of light with uniform color, which indicated the formation of uniform CMSs film.

Three types of terbium complexes were synthesized by introducing benzoylacetone as the first ligand and 1, 10-phenanthroline, triphenylphosphine oxide, 2, 2'-dipyridyl as the second ligand, respectively. The structures of above materials were identified by infrared absorption spectra and chemical elemental analysis, and their light mechanism was studied by detail analysis of ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra. The research results indicated that terbium complexes absorb energy by the first ligand when excited, and emit green light owing to 5D4&rarr7F4 electron transition of terbium ion immediately;it is suggested that the fluorescence yield of terbium complexes doesn't only depend on the energy difference between the singlet excitation state of the first ligand and the triple excitation state of second ligand, but the energy difference between the triple excitation state of the second ligand and the 5D4 energy state of terbium ion.

Hydrotalcite-like compound (HTlc) with a Mg/AI molar ratio of 2 : 1 was synthesized by using a coprecipitation method and the sorption removal of Cu(Ⅱ) by the Mg-AI HTlc sample from CuSO4 solution was investigated. It was found that the Mg-AI HTlc showed a good sorption ability for Cu(Ⅱ) from CuSO4 solution, indicating that the use of hydrotalcite-like compounds as promising inorganic sorbents for the removal of heavy metal ions from water is possible. The sorption kinetics and the sorption isotherm of Cu(Ⅱ) on the HTlc obeyed the pseudo-second order kinetic model and Langmuir equation, respectively. The percent removal of Cu(Ⅱ) by the HT1c was strongly dependent on the initial pH of bulk solution. It increased sharply with the increase of initial pH value in the range of 5-7, and was relatively small in the initial pH range of 4-5, while it reached about 100% after initial pH was higher than 7. The presence of AlCl3 might obviously lower the equilibrium sorption amount (qc) of Cu(Ⅱ) on the HTlc. However, the presences of NaCI and MgCl2 might increase the qe. The presences of ligands (citric acid and EDTA) in the studied concentration range might obviously decrease the qe of Cu(Ⅱ) on the HT1c. The removal mechanism of Cu(Ⅱ) cations by HTlc in the presence of SO4^2- anions may be attributed to the surface-induced precipitation of Cu(Ⅱ) hydroxides and the surface complex adsorption by the linking effect of SO4^2- between the HTlc and Cu(Ⅱ) cations, and the removal ability arising from the surface-induced precipitation is much higher than that from the linking effect of SO4^2-.

Water dispersible avermectin-layered double hydroxide nanocomposites were successfully prepared using sodium dodecyl sulfate as surface modifier. Concentrations of sodium dodecyl sulfate and NaCl had important effects on the product suspensibility, the highest value of which reached 97.6%. All the samples were characterized using zeta potential and contact angle measurements. Experimental results showed that the prepared nanocomposites could protect effectively the avermectin pesticide against UV light decomposition, suggesting the nanocomposites would be a promising candidate for water dispersible formulation, especially for photosensitive pesticides.

The article initially discussed the method of preparing Alq3 coated by SiO2 to improve the material interface of organic light emitting device(OLED), which can prolong the lifetime of OLED. Transmission electron microscope(TEM), photoluminescence spectra(PL), thermo gravimetric analysis(TG) were used to characterize superficial morphology, luminescence and thermal stability properties of products, respectively, while the film microstructure of products was analyzed with scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS). Finally, OLEDs with two-layer structure were fabricated with Alq3 and Alq3 coated by SiO2 as emitting layer, respectively, and their electroluminescent properties were tested. Results showed that this method introduced in this article can greatly improve the lifetime of OLED.

The MnO2/CMSs composite was obtained by coating MnO2 onto the surface of carbon microspheres (CMSs), which were prepared by chemical vapor deposition and oxidized by a mixture of 0.1 mol/L KMnO4 and 0.1 mol/L HNO3. And then MnO2/CMSs composite was washed by H2C2O4 to obtain oxidized-CMSs. The morphology and structure of all samples were characterized by FESEM, TEM, XRD and so on. The dispersion of MnO2/CMSs in water and ethanol was also investigated. The electrochemical property of the composite was measured by cyclic voltammetry. The results show that the MnO2/CMSs composite with appropriate capacitance performance in neutral solution was synthesized using in-situ coating technique in KMnO4 and HNO3 solution, the loading of MnO2 in the composite was about 60%, and the oxidized-CMSs with oxygen-containing functional groups on their surface have good dispersion in water and ethanol.
