The accuracy of data analysis depends on data quality, and addressing data consistency issues is a key challenge to improve it. Constant Conditional Functional Dependency (CCFD) is an effective approach that ensures data consistency by enforcing bindings of semantically related values, thus providing quality assurance for data analysis and decision-making processes. However, with the growth of data scale, especially the increasing number of data tuples and attributes, existing single-machine CCFD discovery algorithms face issues of low computational efficiency and lengthy computation time. This paper proposes a time-efficient distributed CCFD discovery algorithm (DCCFD). Through the optimization of data preprocessing and index mapping, the data organization structure is enhanced, laying the foundation for the discovery of CCFDs under distributed conditions. The Spark parallel computing framework is used to partition the dataset, which accelerates the parallel loading and processing of data. Additionally, this algorithm ensures accuracy and processing speed when discovering dependencies by efficiently generating frequent itemsets and verifying CCFDs in parallel. Experiments on multiple real datasets show that, especially with the complex Airline dataset, the DCCFD algorithm not only accurately discovers CCFDs, but also reduces the average running time by 75.64% compared with the preCFDMiner algorithm.

Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems typically utilize sensors to gather a significant amount of raw data which often possesses temporal and high-dimensional characteristics. Ensuring the data reliability is crucial for the normal operation of the system. While most existing methods are capable of identifying anomalies in high-dimensional time series data from sensors, they often lack adequate accuracy and fail to adequately consider the correlation between sensor nodes. To address these limitations, we propose an unsupervised framework which is a combination of variational autoencoder and graph neural network(VG-Net). By jointly optimizing the reconstruction module and the prediction module, VG-Net effectively models the correlation between sensor nodes while simultaneously detecting anomalies. The reconstruction module is responsible for modeling the latent representation space and reconstructing the time series data through variational autoencoder. The prediction module leverages bidirectional long short term memory networks and neural tensor network to learn the relationships between sensor nodes, and uses graph neural network to predict the future behavior of the data. Experiments on eight real and synthetic datasets demonstrate that, compared with existing methods, VG-Net can accurately model the relationship between sensor nodes and enhance the anomaly detection performance of high-dimensional time series data. © 2024 IEEE.

We develop a cell-average-based neural network (CANN) method to compute nonlinear differential equations. Using feedforward networks, we can train average solutions from t0 + "t with initial values. In order to find the optimal parameters for the network, in combination with supervised training, we use a BP algorithm. By the trained network, we may compute the approximate solutions at the time t n+1 with the ones at time tn . Numerical results show CANN method permits a very large time step size for solution evolution. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

To address the concerns regarding dataset completeness and detection speed for common fall injuries in the elderly, a comprehensive dataset has been established. Additionally, a lightweight fall detection model named FE-YOLO, which is based on YOLOv8, has been developed. This model replaces the network’s internal feature extraction module with a more efficient Fasternet Block module and introduces an enhanced detection head that utilizes data sharing and grouped convolution techniques. When compared to the YOLOv8n model, the FE-YOLO model demonstrates a reduction in parameters by 43.1%, a decrease in GFLOPs by 51.9%, an improvement in model inference speed by 9.70%, and an increase in FPS by 10.5%. Notably, these enhancements do not significantly impact the average accuracy of the model. The efficiency of the FE-YOLO model renders it suitable for deployment on devices with limited computing power.

Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motors (PMSLM) has the advantages of high thrust force density, high acceleration, high speed, high precision, high efficiency etc. However, the detent force of PMSLM is an inevitable problem, caused by their inherent end-disconnection structure. Excessive detent force will cause thrust fluctuations and reduce the system’s stability. To resolve the above problems, an improved PMSLM structure based on arc-teeth is proposed to reduce detent force. Firstly, the motor permeability distribution is analyzed at different moments based on the flux-tube method, and the expression of detent force is derived. Second, the finite element model of PMSLM is established to optimize the height of arc-teeth, and the optimal structural parameters of the motor is obtained. Finally, the performance advantages of the proposed PMSLM are verified by comparing with traditional linear motor.

Most of the existing slam algorithms are designed based on the assumption of a static environment, this strong assumption limits the practical application of most slam systems. The main reason is that moving objects will cause feature mismatch in the pose estimation process, which in turn affects the accuracy of localization and mapping. In this paper, we propose a SLAM algorithm in a dynamic environment. First, we use the BlendMask network to detect potential moving objects to generate masks for dynamic objects. The geometrically constrained joint optical flow method is used to detect dynamic feature points. Secondly, aiming at the failure of semantic segmentation network segmentation, a missed detection compensation algorithm based on the invariance of adjacent frame speed is proposed. Finally, a keyframe selection strategy is proposed to construct a semantic octree graph containing only static objects. We evaluate our algorithm on TUM RGB-D and real scene datasets. The experimental results show that the algorithm has high accuracy and real-time performance.

Online knowledge Distillation (OKD) improves the involved models by reciprocally exploiting the difference between teacher and student. Several crucial bottlenecks over the gap between them — e.g., Why and when does a large gap harm the performance, especially for student? How to quantify the gap between teacher and student? — have received limited formal study. In this paper, we propose Switchable Online knowledge Distillation (SwitOKD), to answer these questions. Instead of focusing on the accuracy gap at test phase by the existing arts, the core idea of SwitOKD is to adaptively calibrate the gap at training phase, namely distillation gap, via a switching strategy between two modes — expert mode (pause the teacher while keep the student learning) and learning mode (restart the teacher). To possess an appropriate distillation gap, we further devise an adaptive switching threshold, which provides a formal criterion as to when to switch to learning mode or expert mode, and thus improves the student’s performance. Meanwhile, the teacher benefits from our adaptive switching threshold and keeps basically on a par with other online arts. We further extend SwitOKD to multiple networks with two basis topologies. Finally, extensive experiments and analysis validate the merits of SwitOKD for classification over the state-of-the-arts. Our code is available at https://***/hfutqian/SwitOKD. As medical insurance continues to grow in size, the losses caused by medical insurance fraud cannot be underestimated. Current data mining and predictive techniques have been applied to analyze and explore the health insurance fraud population. However, previous studies only provide summary results and do not show the details of comparative analysis during the visit, resulting in the inability of auditors to quickly identify anomalous behavior. In this paper, we propose a visual analytics system for interactive medical insurance fraud detection to support the exploration and interpretation of different access processes. We propose a weighted MinDL to improve the accuracy of visit pattern classification in the time-series modeling process, and design a data analysis model and visual analysis view based on medical insurance fraud characteristics to reveal and explore the characteristics of medical insurance fraud groups. We collaborate with related organizations to design and implement an interactive visualization for medical insurance fraud group detection using real Medicare data and expert interviews The system is effective and practical in detecting and analyzing medical insurance fraud syndicates. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A new heuristics model of simulating pedestrian dynamics based on Voronoi diagram

A new heuristics model based on the Voronoi diagram is presented to simulate pedestrian dynamics with the noncrowded state, in which these mechanisms of preference demand evading and surpassing, microscopic anti-deadlock, and site-fine-tuning are considered. The preference demand describes the willingness determination of detouring or following other pedestrians. In the evading and surpassing mechanisms, in order to achieve a balance between avoiding conflicts and minimizing detour distances, a new pair of concepts: "allow-areas and denial-areas" are introduced to divide the feasible region for pedestrians detour behaviors, in which the direction and magnitude of detour velocity are determined.A microscopic anti-deadlock mechanism is inserted to avoid deadlock problem of the counter-directional pedestrian. A site-fine-tuning mechanism is introduced to describe the behavior of avoiding getting too close to the neighbors in pedestrian movement. The presented model is verified through multiple scenarios, including the uni-or bi-direction pedestrian flow in the corridor without obstacles, the uni-direction pedestrian flow in the corridor with obstacles, and the pedestrian evacuation from a room with single-exit. The simulation results show that the velocity–density relationship is consistent with empirical data. Some self-organizing phenomena, such as lanes formation and arching are observed in the *** pedestrians detour an obstacle, the avoiding area before the obstacle and the unoccupied area after the obstacle can be observed. When pedestrians evacuate through a bottleneck without panic, the fan-shaped crowd can be found, which is consistent with the actual observation. It is also found that the behavior of following others in an orderly manner is more conducive to the improvement of the overall movement efficiency when the crowd moves in a limited space.
