In order to effectively reduce traffic accidents caused by pedestrians crossing highways, this paper takes highways as a scene to conduct pedestrian target detection research. Currently, algorithms for pedestrian target detection in highway scenes have problems with low detection accuracy for small and occluded pedestrian units, and it is difficult to distinguish between ordinary pedestrians and road construction personnel. This paper proposes an improved YOLOv5 pedestrian target detection algorithm, which is based on the YOLOv5l model and is improved in three aspects: 1) By adding a detection layer in the backbone network, Achieving feature extraction for smaller targets;2) Introducing a Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) to highlight regions of interest for small targets in a dynamically weighted manner;3) Integrate Bidirectional Feature Pyramid Network (BiFPN) to achieve higher level feature fusion. In addition, an interval overlap detection algorithm is proposed to distinguish between ordinary pedestrian units and other non-ordinary pedestrian units by judging the intersection and combination ratio of the detection result confidence and the detection frame. Experiments show that the improved YOLOv5 pedestrian target detection algorithm proposed in this paper improves the detection ability of pedestrian targets in complex situations, while also achieving the distinction between pedestrians. © 2023 ACM.

The traffic lights using by light emitting diode (LED) are able to indicate and provide the information about the ambient. The signal transimission performance of traffic system is related to a variety of factors such as the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), illuminance. Several factors are influence on illumiance and SNR, such as eatsink temperature and driver parameters. It has not been any substantial investigate on the operated effects of traffic light with sinusoidal waveform driver on illuminance and SNR. With the use of heatsink temperature and driver parameters of the LED source with sinusoidal waveform driver, prediction modeling for the illuminance and SNR of the mixed white LED sources with heatsink temperature, frequency, amplitude voltage, bias voltage and amplification factors are proposed in this paper to enhance the illuminance and SNR model of LED source inside smart traffic information system. The proposed model should carry out a series of calibration step for illuminance, heatsink temperature and driver parameters, which are easy for traffic designer and source system designers to follow in the traffic information system. The proposed model has been measured for the mixed white LED sources, with reasonably good agreements between theoretical and practical results. © 2022, The Author(s).

TABLELLM: Enabling Tabular data Manipulation by LLMs in Real Office Usage Scenarios

We introduce TABLELLM, a robust large language model (LLM) with 8 billion parameters, purpose-built for proficiently handling tabular data manipulation tasks, whether they are embedded within documents or spreadsheets, catering to real-world office scenarios. We propose a distant supervision method for training, which comprises a reasoning process extension strategy, aiding in training LLMs to understand reasoning patterns more effectively as well as a cross-way validation strategy, ensuring the quality of the automatically generated data. To evaluate the performance of TABLELLM, we have crafted benchmarks tailored to address both document and spreadsheet formats as well as constructed a well-organized evaluation pipeline capable of handling both scenarios. Thorough evaluations underscore the advantages of TABLELLM when compared to various existing general-purpose and tabular data-focused LLMs. We have publicly released the model checkpoint, source code, benchmarks, and a web application for user interaction. In a world brimming with new products continually, novel waste types are ubiquitous. This makes current image-based garbage classification systems difficult to perform well due to the long-tailed effects of distribution of garbage types, and necessitates an urgent and efficient garbage classification with abilities of detecting new and rare wastes and class-incremental learning for environmental sustainability. Therefore, we propose a framework of Online System of Garbage Image-Oriented Intelligent Classification, Submission, and Examination, facilitating the incremental garbage classification efforts. In which, to identify novel garbage effectively, we also introduced few-shot object detection method with two key algorithms: Two-Stage Object Detection Learning Algorithm and Dynamic Query-based Incremental Few-shot Learning Algorithm. Our experiment results show that Both outperform the current existing ones in dataset, MS COCO. Then, a strategy of Class-Incremental learning based Residual Network is proposed to meet the need of new waste class-incremental learning. The experimental results support our strategy. Finally, a prototype system employed the above algorithms and the strategy is described.

With the wide application of remote sensing data service platform, the platform accumulates more and more data, and the remote sensing users' demand for remote sensing data service becomes more and more diverse. Therefore, how to deal with remote sensing service data, make statistics and analyze its potential value, and meet the diverse needs of remote sensing users becomes particularly important. Based on big data technology, this paper firstly collects and stores remote sensing user behavior data and remote sensing service platform business data, then uses Hive to build offline data warehouse, performs dimensional modeling and hierarchical design of the data, and finally obtains relevant index data values by statistical analysis. Through the statistical analysis of remote sensing service data can not only provide data support for active service mode, but also provide support for the decision of remote sensing application department managers. © 2021 IEEE.

Image-text matching is an important problem at the intersection of computer vision and natural language processing. It aims to establish the semantic link between image and text to achieve high-quality semantic alignment between the two modalities. However, the existing methods have the problem that the meaning expressed in the image or the complex narrative in the text cannot be fully understood due to insufficient feature extraction. Moreover, due to the essential modal differences between images and texts, how to effectively and accurately align the semantic contents in images and texts has become the key of research. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a method based on feature enhancement and relationship interaction. When processing images, the proposed method fuses labeled features, region features and location features to represent images. When processing text, a combination of Bi-GRU and self-attention mechanism is used to represent the text. In order to further align the semantic content in images and texts accurately, this paper improves two relational interaction mechanisms by identifying connection relationships and learning association relationships. Thus, the relation enhanced embedding is obtained. Finally, it calculated the similarity of the enhanced embedding to judge the matching degree of the image and text. Extensive experiments on the public datasets Flickr30K and MSCOCO demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 2024 IEEE.

The aim of cross-modal image-text retrieval is to heighten comprehension and to create robust associations between visual and textual content. This process entails a mutual querying and synchronization across various data formats. While conventional techniques have seen enhancements via attention-based approaches, they frequently miss the dynamics between corresponding and non-corresponding entity areas within image-text pairs. These techniques, often fixated on aligning image entities with textual terms, can overlook the congruence of entity characteristics, leading to less accurate localization. This research introduces PNRITR, an innovative strategy for cross-modal retrieval that leverages label learning to discern attributes absent from images, broadening the scope beyond just positive entity areas. Chinese short text similarity computation stands as a pivotal task within natural language processing, garnering significant attention. However, existing models grapple with limitations in handling intricate semantic relationships, such as the challenge of discerning subtle semantic nuances in text, inadequacies in effectively integrating diverse levels of semantic information, and the struggle to capture polysemous meanings accurately. In addressing these issues, this paper introduces an innovative Chinese short text similarity computation model, SMGC-SBERT. This model addresses shortcomings of the existing models by employing a multi-module fusion strategy, thereby enabling a more precise measurement of semantic similarity between texts. Primarily, the model incorporates SAT embedding to acquire phrase-level semantic information and leverages the MS-BERT model to encode text, improving the model's comprehension of textual polysemy and obtaining richer semantic representation. Then, the fusion of module features, including multi-branch convolutional networks and mix pooling, enables the extraction of textual features from varied levels, bolstering the model's representational capacity. Additionally, to further reduce overfitting risks while improving accuracy and other performance, a multi-layer feature adjustment network is utilized for short text similarity calculation. The final resultant experimental findings showcase the superiority of the SMGC-SBERT model over other neural network models, demonstrating significant advancements across both Chinese-SNLI and CCKS2018_Task3 Chinese short text datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other medical data contain important and sensitive privacy information of patients, which provide important basis and reference for their doctors to diagnose and treat them. With the continuous development of data sharing, big data applications and other technologies, new requirements are proposed for the storage of medical privacy data. At present, medical data have the characteristics of obstructed sharing and exchange, difficult data tracing and data sensitivity, which increases the cost and difficulty of each diagnosis. Moreover, patients lack the right to know and control their own medical data, which is easy to cause data fraud or data leakage. As a decentralized, tamper proof and traceable distributed ledger system, blockchain brings new solutions to these problems. This paper designs a medical data fusion and distributed privacy management system based on the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain development platform and InterPlanetary File System. It can not only solve the problem of mutual distrust in the traditional system, but also realize the safe data storage and the safe sharing of medical record data between medical organizations which is a beneficial attempt to overcome the disadvantages of traditional hospital data separation. At the same time, according to the requirements of different levels and types of medical users or groups for data security and personal privacy protection, the access control technology of users is studied to ensure personal privacy data. © 2021 ACM.

Recently, deep learning and human-out-of-the-loop methods enjoy their prosperous applications in mechanical fault diagnosis. Nonetheless, the None-IID(independent and identically distributed) issue radicated in acquired data severely limits the stability and accuracy of compound fault diagnosis of rolling bearings. This paper proposes a sample augmentation method for generating simulated signals based on the concept of counterfactuals. Firstly, disentangled representations and counterfactual faithful theory are applied to classify the original signal into two categories of properties. One is the fault semantics encoded from the original vibration signal. And the other is the sample attribute encoded by the encoder of Variational Autoencoders (VAEs). Secondly, the counterfactual faithful pseudo-samples are conjured through the Generative Adversarial Network(GAN) using the seeds of the 'factual' sample attributes and 'counterfactual' fault semantics to compensate for the drawback of distribution shift. Finally, the original samples and pseudo-samples are used as the CNN classifier dataset to realize bearing fault diagnosis. Experiments show that this method can generate counterfactual signals that are highly consistent with the original data distribution and can achieve better classification accuracy after balancing the dataset. © 2022 IEEE.
