Aspect-level text sentiment analysis is a more complete and specific task of text sentiment analysis, which determines the sentiment information expressed by a text with respect to each aspect. In recent years, the use of syntactic dependency trees as well as sentence structure information for aspect-level sentiment analysis has become more common, but they often ignore the role of sentence semantics involved in sentiment analysis and fail to combine them. In this paper, we improve and propose an interactive graph convolutional network (SInterGCN) model incorporating syntactic semantic structure for text-level sentiment analysis tasks. Specifically, a dependency graph is first constructed for each sentence in the syntactic relational dependency tree. This is followed by combining the graph of structural relations with the associated semantic graph, which is used to capture key aspect-oriented and contextual aspects. Furthermore, in order to interactively extract dependencies between aspect words and other aspects, an aspect-oriented GCN is used to model the representation learned by the aspect-oriented GCN based on the inter-aspect graph. Thus, the model can be aware of important contexts and aspect words when interactively learning aspect-specific sentiment features. Experimental results on four relevant benchmark datasets demonstrate that our proposed model outperforms the original interactive approach, achieving superior performance and validating the effectiveness of our model. © 2023 SPIE.

As the largest source of technical information around the world, patents are regarded as an essential crystallization and carrier of knowledge and technological innovation. Patent transformation is conducive not only to enhancing economic efficiency, but also to improving productivity and the rational utilization of resources. There is an imbalance between high patent ownership and low transformation rates. We try to predict the occurrence of transformation events from the patent assignment. However, there are some challenges in predicting patent transformation: (1) how to capture transformation features of patents, especially combined with the transfer time factor. (2) how to predict patent transfer time effectively. To address these challenges, a Patent Transfer Time Forecasting Model (PTTFM) is proposed. The model includes: (1) extraction of time-varying features of patents. (2) the patent transfer time is forecast using a Neural Temporal Point Process. By testing the model on patents under different classifications, the experimental results are obtained to show that the proposed model is applicable to predict the timing of patent assignment within a certain time frame, especially one month. Our work may facilitate patent transformation while interpretability is ensured for transformation events. © 2023 IEEE.

Intellectual property transactions have shown a strong growth momentum in recent years, but the patent transaction market has been plagued by the matching degree of consumers and sellers, resulting in frequent problems such as low patent transformation efficiency and poor transaction quality. This paper proposes a method of recommending patents to consumers by experts to improve the environment of patent transactions. Through the analysis of the past transaction information of the patent, the effective path information of the target is extracted. The graph neural network is used to describe the characteristics and semantics among experts, patents and consumers, and then capture the potential weight among them through the common attention mechanism, and then dynamically integrate them to predict the occurrence of recommendation behavior. The paper makes reasonable use of social information and expert information in the transaction, which significantly improves the rationality and accuracy of expert recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

data augmentation is a common strategy to improve the performance of computer vision tasks. Regrettably, current data augmentation methods are often designed for images in RGB format and few are studied for remote sensing images. In this paper, we find that the way in which remote sensing data are obtained provides a realistic possibility for cropping images to create new ones. Based on our analyses, we propose RSI-Mix for Sentinel-2 satellite image classification. RSI-Mix is designed to cut and paste two remote sensing images of the same category according to random masks. The key inspiration of RSI-Mix is that the classification of remote sensing images is not strictly based on image texture but based on band features. The information fusion of the same area from different sources is beneficial to make an area contain more band features. Experiments show that the model with RSI-Mix is more stable and has higher performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Explicit and Implicit Consumer Electronics information Integration via Automatic Large Language Model Construction

—Integrating diverse Consumer Electronics (CE) information is essential to enhance and optimize user experiences, but CE information Integration (CEII) faces challenges arising from differences in entity descriptions. In recent years, Large Language Models (LLMs) have emerged as valuable tools for analyzing heterogeneous CE data due to their deep contextual embeddings. However, different LLMs capture various nuances and complexity levels within the CE data, and none of them can ensure their effectiveness in all heterogeneous scenarios. To address this issue, this paper proposes an automatic LLM Construction for CEII, which can determine both explicit and implicit CE entity mappings. First, a hybrid Genetic Programming is developed to determine explicit entity mappings using a new individual representation, an innovative fitness function, and a Probability-based Incremental Learning algorithm. Then, a novel Rough Set based matching method is presented to efficiently induce implicit CE entity mappings, which uses the entity feature relevance metric and the dominance-based matching approach. The experiment tests the performance of our approach with the OAEI’s KG and common KG datasets, and the practical CE datasets in the smart home context. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the developed approach, which significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art entity matching methods. © 2025 IEEE.

This article presents a novel efficient method for gridless line spectrum estimation problems with single snapshot and sparse signals, namely the gradient descent least-squares (GDLS) method. Conventional single-snapshot (a.k.a. single-measure vector or SMV) line spectrum estimation methods either rely on smoothing techniques that sacrifice the range and/or azimuth resolution or adopt the sparsity constraint and utilize the compressed sensing (CS) method by defining prior grids and resulting in the off-grid problem. Recently emerged atomic norm minimization (ANM) methods achieved gridless SMV line spectrum estimation, but its computational complexity is extremely high;thus, it is practically infeasible in real applications with large problem scales. Our proposed GDLS method reformulates the line spectrum estimations problem into a least-squares (LSs) estimation problem and solves the corresponding objective function via a gradient descent algorithm in an iterative fashion with efficiency. The convergence guarantee, computational complexity, and performance analysis for evenly distributed antenna array cases are discussed in this article. Numerical simulations show that the proposed GDLS algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, for example, CS and ANM, in terms of estimation performances. It can completely avoid the off-grid problem, and its computational complexity is significantly lower than ANM. Our method has been tested in tomographic SAR (TomoSAR) imaging applications via simulated and real experimental data. Results show the great potential of the proposed method in terms of better cloud point performance and eliminating the gridding effect. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

A transition-based neural framework for Chinese nested entity and relation recognition

Entity and relation extraction for Chinese texts are typical performed in a pipelined fashion in the sense that by first segmenting sequence into words then recognizing entities and relations subsequently. However, this process often leads to the problem of error propagation and prevents cross-task information integration. To address this issue, we propose a novel transition-based model that performs nested entity recognition and relation extraction jointly without the need of word segmentation beforehand, which is achieved by leveraging the recent advance in using a lattice structure for Chinese sentence encodings. On standard ACE benchmarks, our model gives the best results in the literature. Further analyses show the effectiveness of the proposed architecture in capturing structural outputs. Author

Breast carcinoma (BRCA) is a leading cause of mortality in women worldwide. Understanding the driving factors behind BRCA initiation, progression, and evolution is crucial. This study proposes a novel method to identify stage-related driving factors in BRCA. By utilizing stage-specific functional interaction networks, the multi-omics features and PPI were integrated. A novel rumor-mongering model is introduced to smooth the stage-specific networks and the gravity model is used to balance gene interactions. The top 100 gravity interactions are identified as driving factors. Through biomolecular and enrichment analyses, these driving factors are shown to play a crucial role in BRCA progression. Furthermore, a hybrid hierarchical evolution network illustrates the stage-evolutionary role of driving factors, while a biological functional evolution network demonstrates functional changes in BRCA progression. The proposed method exhibits superior enrichment performance, particularly within targeted pathways, providing valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms of BRCA. © 2024 IEEE.
