Human pose estimation in videos remains a challenge, largely due to the reliance on extensive manual annotation of large datasets, which is expensive and labor-intensive. Furthermore, existing approaches often struggle to capture long-range temporal dependencies and overlook the complementary relationship between temporal pose heatmaps and visual features. To address these limitations, we introduce STDPose, a novel framework that enhances human pose estimation by learning spatiotemporal dynamics in sparsely-labeled videos. STDPose incorporates two key innovations: 1) A novel Dynamic-Aware Mask to capture long-range motion context, allowing for a nuanced understanding of pose changes. 2) A system for encoding and aggregating spatiotemporal representations and motion dynamics to effectively model spatiotemporal relationships, improving the accuracy and robustness of pose estimation. STDPose establishes a new performance benchmark for both video pose propagation (i.e., propagating pose annotations from labeled frames to unlabeled frames) and pose estimation tasks, across three large-scale evaluation datasets. Additionally, utilizing pseudo-labels generated by pose propagation, STDPose achieves competitive performance with only 26.7% labeled data. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

We propose Edit-History Vis, a visual analytics system designed to facilitate interactive exploration on Wikipedia edit history at a fine-grained level. The examination of detailed changes in Wikipedia articles is crucial for understanding how authors’ perspectives vary and conflict during the collaborative editing process. However, it is challenging to reveal the details while preserving the heterogeneous attributes of revisions, namely the time, content, and editor. The Edit-History Vis system integrates editor and textual changes of revisions by utilizing a force-directed revision graph that groups revisions based on standpoints. Through this revision graph, users can identify and analyze editing events such as edit wars, vandalism, repair, and normal updates. The effectiveness of the system in analyzing the edit history is validated through a qualitative comparison with prior work and a quantitative rating from a user study.

In the era of big data, fragmented knowledge, multisource heterogeneity, and different representation forms of the same entities in various data sources have posed considerable challenges to entity fusion. How to effectively integrate multisource knowledge for the same entities has provoked vast amounts of attention and research from multiple disciplines. Most existing methods for entity fusion can be categorized into two classes: one is to establish an association between the same entities, and the other is to delete duplicate entities after knowledge fusion and create a new fusion entity. However, in these two classes of methods, the former does not achieve true knowledge fusion and semantic interoperability, while the latter may cause irreversible loss of original information. In this paper, we propose a novel entity fusion scheme: Hypernode. Hypernode fuses the same entity in different data sources into a new entity while retaining the original data. We verify the effectiveness of Hypernode on multiple models of link prediction experiments. Several practical application cases illustrate the applicability of Hypernode in data traceability, open domain knowledge fusion, and multi-modal knowledge graph fusion.

Achieving Enhanced Bi-Linear Attention Network for Teaching Manner Analysis over Edge Cloud-assisted AIoT: Voice-Body Coordination Perspective

Edge computing, an advanced extension of cloud computing, provides superior computational capabilities and lowlatency processing at the network edge, facilitating its availability for real-time data analysis in resource-limited settings. When applied to the analysis of teaching methodologies, edge computing enables the seamless integration of vocal and physical cues, facilitating collaborative, dynamic, and real-time evaluations of teaching quality. However, the inherent complexity of human perception and multimodal interactions impose great challenges to the analysis of these aspects in Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). This paper introduces an innovative mathematical model and a measurement index specifically designed to assess changes in voice-body coordination over time. To achieve this, we propose a cloud-enabled enhanced Bi-Linear Attention Network incorporating entropy and Fourier transforms (BAN-E-FT), which leverages both temporal and frequencydomain features. Specifically, by harnessing the computational and storage capabilities of edge computing, BAN-E-FT facilitates distributed training, expedites large-scale data processing, and enhances model scalability, where entropy measures and Fourier transforms capture modality dynamics, enhancing BAN's fusion capabilities. Moreover, a conditional domain adversarial network is embedded to address regional teaching variations, improving model generalizability. We also verify the robustness of BAN-EFT with accuracy and convergence through convex optimization analysis. Experiments on the eNTERFACE'05 dataset demonstrate 81% accuracy in assessing teaching adaptability, while real-world test at Guizhou University confirms 78% accuracy when using BAN-E-FT, matching human expert assessments. © 2013 IEEE.

Short carrier lifetimes is a key challenge limiting the open-circuit voltage (VOC) and power conversion efficiency (PCE) of kesterite Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) solar cells. In this work, for the first time, lanthanide europium (Eu) ions have been introduced into Ag-incorporated CZTSSe absorber layer, which can modify the selenization reaction pathway during the initial selenization process, leading to high-quality (Ag, Eu)-CZTSSe absorber with large compact crystal grains and benign surface potential fluctuations. This innovative absorber engineering can also optimize defects dynamics with less detrimental defects and defects-assisted non-radiative recombination. Thus, significantly enhanced minority carrier lifetimes from 0.97 to 3.15 ns can be achieved, representing one of the top values among various bulk and/or interface engineering treated CZTSSe. The champion CZTSSe thin-film solar cell exhibits an impressive VOC of 545.6 mV, accompanied with a stimulating increase in PCE from 10.61% to 13.30%. These findings underscore the potential of lanthanide cation doping to drive significant advancements in CZTSSe photovoltaic technology, and therefore promoting its further development and future applications. © 2024, The Authors. Encouraging and astonishing developments have recently been achieved in image-based diagnostic *** medical care and imaging technology are becoming increasingly ***,the current diagnosis pattern of signal to image to knowledge inevitably leads to information distortion and noise introduction in the procedure of image reconstruction(from signal to image).Artificial intelligence(AI)technologies that can mine knowledge from vast amounts of data offer opportunities to disrupt established *** this prospective study,for the first time,we develop an AI-based signal-toknowledge diagnostic scheme for lung nodule classification directly from the computed tomography(CT)raw data(the signal).We find that the raw data achieves almost comparable performance with CT,indicating that it is possible to diagnose diseases without reconstructing ***,the incorporation of raw data through three common convolutional network structures greatly improves the performance of the CT models in all cohorts(with a gain ranging from 0.01 to 0.12),demonstrating that raw data contains diagnostic information that CT does not *** results break new ground and demonstrate the potential for direct signal-to-knowledge domain analysis.

Urban rail transit (URT) is vulnerable to natural disasters and social emergencies including fire, storm and epidemic (such as COVID-19), and real-time origin-destination (OD) flow prediction provides URT operators with important information to ensure the safety of URT system. However, hindered by the high dimensionality of OD flow and the lack of supportive information reflecting the real-time passenger flow changes, study in this area is at the beginning stage. A novel model consisting of two stages is proposed for OD flow prediction. The first stage predicts the inflows of all stations by Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) in real time, where the dimension is reduced compared with predicting OD flows directly. In the second stage, the notion of separation rate, namely, the proportion of inbound passengers bounding for another station, is estimated. Finally, The OD flow is predicted by multiplying the inflow and separation rate. Experiments based on Hangzhou Metro dataset show the proposed model outperforms the contrast model in weighted mean average error (WMAE) and weighted mean square error (WMSE). Results also suggest that the proposed prediction model performs better on weekdays than on weekends, and with greater accuracy on larger OD flows. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

Nature-inspired population-based stochastic search algorithms (SSA) have demonstrated effectiveness in solving many real-world dynamic optimization problems (DOPs), such as dynamic optimal power flow (DOPF) problems. The basic idea of solving DOPs using SSAs is to “track the moving optima”, rather than solving the changed problems from scratch. Its hidden assumption is that the problems are slightly changed in general, and it is expected that the search process can be accelerated by learning from past search experiences. However, the hidden assumption that the current search process can always benefit from previous search experiences might not be true for certain cases. For example, if the current problem is not similar to any of its previous problems, the historical solutions might not be helpful for the current search. To reduce such negative transfer, the following issues are worthy of study: how to choose which historical problems to learn from, and how to determine the degree of learning from historical problems. To solve the above problems, we propose a dynamic processing framework based on fuzzy rules from the perspective of incorporating human knowledge for optima tracking. The experimental results on the DOPF problems show that the SSA with the proposed optima tracking strategy outperforms other comparative algorithms. Cortical surface registration plays a crucial role in coordinating individual cortical functions and anatomical features, serving as a fundamental step in cortical surface analysis. Its aim is to align the anatomical or functional regions of different individuals, which is of great importance for neuroimaging studies across different populations. Currently, cortical surface registration techniques based on classical methods have been well developed. However, a key issue with classical registration methods is that for each pair of images to be registered, it is necessary to search for the optimal transformation in the deformation space according to a specific optimization algorithm until the similarity measure function converges, which cannot meet the requirements of real-time and high-precision in medical image registration. With the spectacular success of deep learning in the field of computer vision, researching cortical surface image registration techniques based on deep learning models has become a new direction. But so far, there are still only a few studies on cortical surface image registration based on deep learning. Moreover, although deep learning methods theoretically have stronger representation capabilities, surpassing the most advanced classical methods in registration accuracy and distortion control remains a challenge. Therefore, to address this challenge, this paper constructs a deep learning model to study the technology of cortical surface image registration. The specific work is as follows: (1) An unsupervised cortical surface registration network based on a multi-scale cascaded structure is designed, and a convolution method based on spherical harmonic transformation is introduced to register cortical surface data. Cloud storage services have been used by most businesses and individual users. However, data loss, service interruptions and cyber attacks often lead to cloud storage services not being provided properly, and these incidents have caused financial losses to users. Second, traditional and single-cloud model disaster recovery services are no longer suitable for the current complex cloud storage systems. Therefore, a scheme to provide disaster recovery for cloud storage services in a multi-cloud storage environment is needed in real production. In this paper, we propose a disaster recovery scheme based on blockchain technology. The proposed scheme outlined in this study aims to address the issue of data availability within the cloud storage landscape. The proposed scheme achieves this goal by dividing data into hot and cold categories, verifying the integrity of copy data via blockchain technology, and utilizing blockchain networks to manage multi-cloud storage systems. Experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed scheme yields superior results in terms of computation and time overheads.
