Human pose estimation is a challenging task that requires the comprehension of the pose structure. This work can refer to spatial relation inference in a pose structure model;how to model the dynamic spatial relation against various unreliable joints is critical. To this end, we propose a Distilling Dynamic Spatial Relation network (DDSR), which builds pose-based graph representation by exploiting the feature of spatial relation from the location distribution of joints. We use a dynamic message propagation mechanism to update the spatial relation on edges. Specifically, to filter out the noisy predictions, we select the joints with high confidence;to enhance the spatial relation in a large receptive field, we propagate multi-stage messages among joints. Besides, to reduce the computation cost of the multi-stage message propagation, we design a cross-resolution distillation framework. We use a new spatial distillation loss to verify the spatial relation between the teacher model and the student model. Experimental results on COCO and MPII datasets show that our method is superior to the state-of-the-art methods. The visualization results further verify the interpretability of our spatial relation. © 2021. The copyright of this document resides with its authors.

Objective: To develop a Convolution Neural Network (CNN) and discuss its performance in the estimation of Glomerular Fifiltration Rate (GFR) for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Methods: A total of 112 patients with chronic kidney disease were enrolled in this study. The GFR is measured by 99mTc-DTPA renal dynamic and used as standard GFR after normalization by body surface area imaging. We established a CNN model and verified the performance of the model by comparing the GFR predicted by the model with the standard GFR. It turned out that the CNN could better evaluate the GFR of patients which is superior to the CG formula, MDRD formula, CKD-EPI formula and GRNN model. Conclusions: The CNN significantly evaluated GFR for patients with CKD, and it showed better performance than traditional methods and GRNN model and closer to the results of 99mTc-DTPA. The experimental results demonstrated that CNN could be used to estimate GFR. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Understanding the distribution range of bamboo resources in Yiliang county is important for the ecological services and economic benefits of the county. In this paper, we investigated the distribution of bamboo resources by using 3S (GPS, RS, GIS) technology with remote sensing images and field survey. The survey results show that: the total area of bamboo forest in the county is 65863.72×10-2 km2;the origin of bamboo resources is mainly plantation and natural forest;the types of bamboo forest are pure bamboo forest, tree forest and mixed bamboo forest;the applications are mainly nature reserve bamboo forest, protective bamboo forest, timber bamboo forest and bamboo forest for bamboo shoots;There are 9 kinds of bamboo species, including Jinfo Mountain Fang, Xiaochaoba Fang, Yushan Bamboo, Cixi Bamboo, Mao Bamboo, Bambusa Bamboo, Shui Bamboo, Yongsan Fang and Siban Bamboo;the protection level is Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ respectively. © 2023 SPIE.

Mitochondria are subcellular organelles existing in most eukaryotic organisms. They have a pivotal role in lots of bio-chemical processes for cells. Proteins in different compartments of mitochondria have their transport routes. Locating proteins in mitochondria can provide a solid foundation for mitochondrial pathologies. So far, there have been several computational methods for solving the issue. However, their accuracy is so low that they do not identify the localization precisely. We develop an unsupervised learning model to represent mitochondrial proteins as n-dimensional vectors, called sequence embedding, which can learn the global and context information from mitochondrial proteins. We design a new model, called Sub-Loc, to predict the sub-mitochondrial localization of proteins using the SVM classifier and the sequence embedding method. The sequence embedding method and the Sub-Loc are tested by experiments. Experimental results show the sequence embedding method remarkably enhances the performance of prediction for sub-mitochondrial localization of proteins compared with other feature representations. The Sub-Loc outperforms other approaches for predicting sub-mitochondrial localization of proteins. © 2022 IEEE.

Event Argument Extraction with Two-Dimensional Enhanced Fusion Mechanism

Addressing the lack of interaction between trigger and arguments, and the lack of interaction within channels in existing studies of event argument extraction, this paper proposes a two-dimensional enhanced fusion mechanism for event argument extraction (W2-ARG) that incorporates a 2D enhanced fusion method. It inserts identifiers on both sides of a trigger word in a sentence, which encodes information about the event type. In the learning process, it is effective to enhance the interaction between trigger and argument, and encode the trigger separately to highlight its information in the sentence. The event argument extraction is implemented as a two-dimensional representation of label prediction. It has the advantage to capture semantic interactions of words at different distances through dilated convolution. Subsequently, a channel attention module is applied to enhance the interactions within the channel to strengthen the information transfer within the channel. Finally, the Laplace operator is utilized to highlight the positional features of event arguments in the semantic space to improve the performance. The proposed model is experimented on the ACE05-EN and ERE-EN datasets. Experimental results show clear performance improvement of the proposed model compared with other event argument extraction methods. © 2025 Journal of Computer engineering and Applications Beijing Co., Ltd.;Science Press. — Millimeter-wave Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) with multi-beam design holds significant promise for vehicular networks, offering multi-target omnidirectional sensing and high-capacity communication services concurrently. Nonetheless, the considerable challenge of potential mutual interference arises due to the high mobility and density of transmitters in such networks. To address this challenge effectively, we propose leveraging inter-vehicle communication to schedule communication and sensing signals for vehicles, thereby enhancing networked sensing capabilities. We first introduce an analytical framework to characterize the mutual interference among multiple vehicles. Subsequently, we evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed interference mitigation method in terms of interference probability, duration, and the achievable detectable density. Additionally, recognizing the different performance requirements of communication and sensing functions, we investigate a joint resource allocation problem catering to both aspects. Simulation results demonstrate a notable enhancement in the proposed ISAC-based interference mitigation, with a 58% reduction in interference probability compared to benchmarking schemes. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

Fine-grained visual categorization is challenged by limited training data by localizing discriminative regions and learning diverse features. We propose an effective regularization method that simultaneously imposes spatial consistency and feature diversity on CNN feature maps from a unified perspective. The former guides different feature map channels to concentrate collaboratively on the discriminative areas while the latter ensures that the feature maps are diverse. The proposed method does not require additional supervision, and leverages the covariance matrix of multi-channel feature maps to regularize the loss at the last convolutional layer where the semantic information is the richest. This allows the influence to be backpropagated to update all convolutional layers. We perform experiments using four network architectures for transfer learning from two source domains to three target domains, and demonstrate that our regularization method improves accuracy in all different settings. The proposed regularization method achieves state-of-the-art performance on CUB-200-2011, Stanford-Cars, and Stanford-Dogs datasets with 89.8%, 94.6%, and 88.5% accuracy, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

WATuning:A Workload-Aware Tuning System with Attention-Based Deep Reinforcement Learning

Configuration tuning is essential to optimize the performance of systems(e.g.,databases,key-value stores).High performance usually indicates high throughput and low *** present,most of the tuning tasks of systems are performed artificially(e.g.,by database administrators),but it is hard for them to achieve high performance through tuning in various types of systems and in various *** recent years,there have been some studies on tuning traditional database systems,but all these methods have some *** this article,we put forward a tuning system based on attention-based deep reinforcement learning named WATuning,which can adapt to the changes of workload characteristics and optimize the system performance efficiently and ***,we design the core algorithm named ATT-Tune for WATuning to achieve the tuning task of *** algorithm uses workload characteristics to generate a weight matrix and acts on the internal metrics of systems,and then ATT-Tune uses the internal metrics with weight values assigned to select the appropriate ***,WATuning can generate multiple instance models according to the change of the workload so that it can complete targeted recommendation services for different types of ***,WATuning can also dynamically fine-tune itself according to the constantly changing workload in practical applications so that it can better fit to the actual environment to make *** experimental results show that the throughput and the latency of WATuning are improved by 52.6%and decreased by 31%,respectively,compared with the throughput and the latency of CDBTune which is an existing optimal tuning method.
