Artificial intelligence(AI) is the key to mining and enhancing the value of big data, and knowledge graph is one of the important cornerstones of artificial intelligence, which is the core foundation for the integration of statistical and physical representations. Named entity recognition is a fundamental research task for building knowledge graphs, which needs to be supported by a high-quality corpus, and currently there is a lack of high-quality named entity recognition corpus in the field of geology, especially in Chinese. In this paper, based on the conceptual structure of geological ontology and the analysis of the characteristics of geological texts, a classification system of geological named entity types is designed with the guidance and participation of geological experts, a corresponding annotation specification is formulated, an annotation tool is developed, and the first named entity recognition corpus for the geological domain is annotated based on real geological reports. The total number of words annotated was 698 512 and the number of entities was 23 345. The paper also explores the feasibility of a model pre-annotation strategy and presents a statistical analysis of the distribution of technical and term categories across genres and the consistency of corpus annotation. Based on this corpus, a Lite Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(ALBERT)-Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)-Conditional Random Fields(CRF) and ALBERT-BiLSTM models are selected for experiments, and the results show that the F1-scores of the recognition performance of the two models reach 0.75 and 0.65 respectively, providing a corpus basis and technical support for information extraction in the field of geology.

datasets of visualization play a crucial role in automating data-driven visualization pipelines, serving as the foundation for supervised model training and algorithm benchmarking. In this paper, we survey the literature on visualization datasets and provide a comprehensive overview of existing visualization datasets, including their data types, formats, supported tasks, and openness. We propose a what-why-how model for visualization datasets, considering the content of the dataset (what), the supported tasks (why), and the dataset construction process (how). This model provides a clear understanding of the diversity and complexity of visualization datasets. Additionally, we highlight the challenges faced by existing visualization datasets, including the lack of standardization in data types and formats and the limited availability of large-scale datasets. A Logical Pattern Memory Pre-trained Model for Entailment Tree Generation

Generating coherent and credible explanations remains a significant challenge in the field of AI. In recent years, researchers have delved into the utilization of entailment trees to depict explanations, which exhibits a reasoning process of how a hypothesis is deduced from the supporting facts. However, existing models often overlook the importance of generating intermediate conclusions with logical consistency from the given facts, leading to inaccurate conclusions and undermining the overall credibility of entailment trees. To address this limitation, we propose the logical pattern memory pre-trained model (LMPM). LMPM incorporates an external memory structure to learn and store the latent representations of logical patterns, which aids in generating logically consistent conclusions. Furthermore, to mitigate the influence of logically irrelevant domain knowledge in the Wikipedia-based data, we introduce an entity abstraction approach to construct the dataset for pre-training LMPM. The experimental results highlight the effectiveness of our approach in improving the quality of entailment tree generation. By leveraging logical entailment patterns, our model produces more coherent and reasonable conclusions that closely align with the underlying premises. Existing weakly supervised video anomaly detection methods mainly employ Multiple Instance Learning (MIL) to identify abnormal snippets in untrimmed videos. However, the semantics and presentations of anomalies frequently exhibit ambiguity that MIL is difficult to tackle. Moreover, MIL suffers from false alarms due to its independent optimization of each instance, neglecting temporal correlation between adjacent snippets. Consequently, we badly need to better connect abnormal presentations and their semantics, as well as to enable multi-temporal-scale anomaly discovery. This paper proposes a CLIP-Driven Multi-Scale Instance Learning (CMSIL) framework with two branches including Vision-Language (VL) and Multi-Scale Instance Learning (MSIL). The VL branch leverages the powerful visual concept priors from Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training (CLIP) to generate pseudo anomalies, thereby providing suspected anomaly cues for model training guidance. The MSIL branch utilizes a feature pyramid to fully mine fine-grained temporal dependencies by employing MIL within each pyramid level to learn anomalous patterns across different temporal scales. By collaborating with the two branches, the proposed CMSIL shows better proficiency in handling anomalies with varying durations. Extensive experiments on the XD-Violence and UCF-Crime datasets demonstrate the superior performance of our method. The code is available at https://***/casperZB/CMSIL.

Spatial-Semantic Collaborative Cropping for User Generated Content

A large amount of User Generated Content (UGC) is uploaded to the Internet daily and displayed to people world-widely through the client side (e.g., mobile and PC). This requires the cropping algorithms to produce the aesthetic thumbnail within a specific aspect ratio on different devices. However, existing image cropping works mainly focus on landmark or landscape images, which fail to model the relations among the multi-objects with the complex background in UGC. Besides, previous methods merely consider the aesthetics of the cropped images while ignoring the content integrity, which is crucial for UGC cropping. In this paper, we propose a Spatial-Semantic Collaborative cropping network (S2CNet) for arbitrary user generated content accompanied by a new cropping benchmark. Specifically, we first mine the visual genes of the potential objects. Then, the suggested adaptive attention graph recasts this task as a procedure of information association over visual nodes. The underlying spatial and semantic relations are ultimately centralized to the crop candidate through differentiable message passing, which helps our network efficiently to preserve both the aesthetics and the content integrity. Extensive experiments on the proposed UGCrop5K and other public datasets demonstrate the superiority of our approach over state-of-the-art counterparts. Effectively constructing context information with long-term dependencies from video sequences is crucial for object tracking. However, the context length constructed by existing work is limited, only considering object information from adjacent frames or video clips, leading to insufficient utilization of contextual information. To address this issue, we propose MambaLCT, which constructs and utilizes target variation cues from the first frame to the current frame for robust tracking. First, a novel unidirectional Context Mamba module is designed to scan frame features along the temporal dimension, gathering target change cues throughout the entire sequence. Specifically, target-related information in frame features is compressed into a hidden state space through selective scanning mechanism. The target information across the entire video is continuously aggregated into target variation cues. Next, we inject the target change cues into the attention mechanism, providing temporal information for modeling the relationship between the template and search frames. The advantage of MambaLCT is its ability to continuously extend the length of the context, capturing complete target change cues, which enhances the stability and robustness of the tracker. Extensive experiments show that long-term context information enhances the model’s ability to perceive targets in complex scenarios. Both concentrations and emissions of many air pollutants have been decreasing due to implement of control measures in China,in contrast to the fact that an increase in emissions of non-methane hydrocarbons(NMHCs)has been *** study employed seven years continuous NMHCsmeasurements and the related activities data of Shanghai,a megacity in China,to explore evolution of emissions and effectiveness of air pollution control *** mixing ratio of NMHCs showed no statistical interannual changes,of which their compositions exhibited marked *** resulted in a decreasing trend of ozone formation potential by 3.8%/year(p<0.05,the same below),which should be beneficial to ozone pollution mitigation as its production in Shanghai is in the NMHCs-limited *** alkanes,aromatics and acetylene changed by+3.7%/year,-5.9%/year and-7.4%/year,respectively,and alkenes showed no apparent *** sources were apportioned by a positive matrix factorization ***,vehicular emissions(-5.9%/year)and petrochemical industry emissions(-7.1%/year)decreased significantly,but the decrease slowed down;significant reduction in solvent usage(-9.0%/year)appeared after 2010;however,emissions of natural gas(+12.6%/year)and fuel evaporation(with an increasing fraction)became more *** inconsistency between observations and inventories was found in interannual trend and speciation as well as source contributions,emphasizing the need for further validation in NMHCs emission *** study confirms the effectiveness of measures targeting mobile and centralized emissions from industrial sources and reveals a need focusing on fugitive emissions,which provided new insights into future air policies in polluted region.

Video scene detection aims to temporally link shots for obtaining semantically compact scenes. It is essential for this task to capture scene-distinguishable affinity among shots by similarity assessment. However, most methods relies on ordinary shot-to-shot similarities, which may inveigle similar shots into being linked even though they are from different scenes, and meanwhile hinder dissimilar shots from being blended into a complete scene. In this paper, we propose NeighborNet to inject shot contexts into shot-to-shot similarities through carefully exploring the relations between semantic/temporal neighbors of shots over a local time period. In this way, shot-to-shot similarities are remeasured as semantic/temporal neighbor-aware similarities so that NeighborNet can learn context embedding into shot features using graph convolutional network. As a result, not only do the learned shot features suppress the affinity among similar shots from different scenes, but they also promote the affinity among dissimilar shots in the same scene. Experimental results on public benchmark datasets show that our proposed NeighborNet yields substantial improvements in video scene detection, especially outperforms released state-of-the-arts by at least 6% in Average Precision (AP). Underwater images are often affected by problems such as light attenuation, color distortion, noise and scattering, resulting in image defects. A novel image inpainting method is proposed to intelligently predict and fill damaged areas for complete and continuous visualization of the image. First, in order to effectively solve the problem of color distortion caused by light refraction in underwater environments, the improved gated attention mechanism is used. This mechanism improves the local details by learning and weighting the important features of the image. Second, gated convolution automatically determines the degree of restoration for each pixel based on local features of the original image. It eliminates distractions such as low contrast and scattering, retaining more original detailed information. By doing so, image inpainting techniques improve the quality and visualization of underwater images. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-exposure image fusion is a cost-effective method to improve the dynamic range of images. For the problems of inadequate detail extraction in bright and dark areas and the over simplicity of existing fusion rules by current deep learning multi-exposure image fusion algorithms, we propose a DenseNet-based framework using adaptive Gabor convolution. Building on the Dense network architecture, we design an adaptive Gabor convolution module, which the parameters of the Gabor filter can be updated along with the network, enhancing the ability of Gabor to extract image features. Additionally, a cross-domain aggregation attention module is proposed, which effectively aggregates and enhances information. Comparing our method with seven advanced methods on the multi-exposure image fusion benchmark dataset, the subjective and objective evaluations outperform the other methods, proving the effectiveness and superiority of our method. The experiments of different exposure images fusion demonstrate the good generalization performance of our method.
