Many of management systems for business continuity, records and knowledge (BRK) are standalone. Connections and networks of business continuity management systems (BCMS), records management systems (RMS) and knowledge management systems (KMS) are expected to study for facing challenges from evidence-based collaborations in a networked working environment, in terms of control of documented information for business efficiency;guarantee of evidentiality and quality of documented information for organizational effectiveness;and sharing, protecting and increasing values of records as business and knowledge assets for knowledge economy. Based on review of ideas of integration management thinking, best practice frameworks of business continuity management, records management and knowledge management, management models of BCMS, RMS and KMS, an architecture framework towards comprehensive integration management of BRK is proposed by vertical integration design and crosswise integration operations. Case studies demonstrate that such architecture framework has implications to enhance controls of efficiency, effectiveness, and economy of organizational resources and assets adaptable to complex global competition;to improve quality assurance of documented information for supporting evidence-based governance adaptable to dynamic changing of information and communication technologies;to consistent accumulation, sharing and exchanging evidence, memory and knowledge along e-business processes to promote collaboration, optimization and innovation of BCMS, RMS and KMS.

Social Group Query Based on Multi-Fuzzy-Constrained Strong Simulation

Traditional social group analysis mostly uses interaction models, event models, or other social network analysis methods to identify and distinguish groups. This type of method can divide social participants into different groups based on their geographic location, social relationships, and/or related events. However, in some applications, it is necessary to make more specific restrictions on the members and the interactions between members of the group. Generally, Graph Pattern Matching (GPM) technique is used to solve this problem. However, the existing GPM methods rarely consider the rich contextual information of nodes and edges to measure the credibility between members. In this article, first, a social group query problem that needs to consider the trust between members of the group is proposed. Then, to solve this problem, a multi-fuzzy-constrained strong simulation matching model is proposed based on multi-constrained simulation, and a Strong Simulation GPM algorithm (NTSS) based on the exploration of pattern Node Topological ordered sequence is proposed. Aiming at the inefficiency of the NTSS algorithm when pattern graph with multiple nodes with zero in-degree and the problem of repeated calculation of matching edges shared by multiple matching subgraphs, two optimization strategies are proposed. Finally, we conduct verification experiments on the effectiveness and efficiency of the NTSS algorithm and the algorithms with the optimization strategies on four social network datasets in real applications. Experimental results show that the NTSS algorithm is significantly better than the existing multi-constrained GPM algorithm, and the NTSS_Inv_EdgC algorithm, which combines two optimization strategies, greatly improves the efficiency of the NTSS algorithm.

In edge computing (EC), resource allocation is to allocate computing, storage and networking resources on the edge nodes (ENs) efficiently and reasonably to tasks generated by users. Due to the resource-limitation of ENs, the tasks often need to compete for the resources. Pricing mechanisms are widely used to deal with the resource allocation problem, and the valuations of tasks play a critical role in the price mechanisms. However, users naturally are not willing to expose the valuations of their tasks due to conflicts of interests. Current research works usually adopt truthful auctions to motivate the users to report honestly the valuations of their tasks. In this paper, we introduce the marginal value to estimate the valuations of tasks, and propose a marginal value-based pricing mechanism using the incentive theory, which motivates the tasks with higher marginal values to actively request more resources. The EC platform sets the resource prices using the price mechanism, and then the users determine their resource requests relying on the resource prices and the valuations of their tasks. After receiving the deadline-sensitive tasks from the users, the resource allocation can be modeled as a knapsack problem with the deadline constraints. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our approach is computationally efficient and is promising in enhancing the utility of the EC platform and the tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we address the problem of data Compression which is critical in wireless sensor networks. We proposed a novel Topology-based data Compression (TDC) algorithm for wireless sensor networks. We utilize the topological structure of routing tree to reduce the transmission of message packets. We analyzed the differences and relations between our algorithm and other compression algorithms. Extensive experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed TDC approach by using two kinds of data sets: real data set and synthetic data set. The results show that the TDC algorithm substantially outperforms Non-compression algorithm in terms of packets transmitted. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

This paper proposes an energy balance opportunistic networks routing algorithm P-TECS. The P-TECS solves the problems of energy consumption of key nodes in existing opportunistic routing algorithms. This paper defines the relay degree of communication between nodes, and designs a P-TECS opportunistic routing algorithm integrating dynamic attributes of multiple nodes. Simulation results show that in resource-constrained opportunistic networks, P-TECS significantly improves the message delivery rate and average remaining energy of nodes, and significantly reduces the routing overhead rate. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

This paper presents a reference framework, called BUD, to manage a large shared bank of unstructured data. This paper lists several important issues on managing or maintaining the unstructured data in BUD. BUD stores and manages the ever-growing unstructured data by introducing a novel technique called free-table, which is a conceptual view for end-users and a physical entity maintained by transactional storage manager of BUD. Free-table is cell-oriented but not column-oriented as relational table. It can store various types of unstructured data in cell with different versions. Additionally, we study two cases, VMP and PXRDB, to show that our proposal is feasible and tractable.

Recently there has been a lot of interest in graph-based analysis, with examples including social network analysis, recommendation systems, document classification and clustering, and so on. A graph is an abstraction that naturally captures data objects as well as relationships among those objects. Objects are represented as nodes and relationships are represented as edges in the graph. There are many cases in which similarities among nodes are required to compute. SimRank is one of the simple and intuitive algorithms for this purpose. It is rigidly based on the random walk theorem. Existing methods on SimRank computation suffer from one limitation: the computing cost can be very high in practice. In order to optimize the computation of SimRank, a few techniques have been proposed. However, the performance of these methods are still limited by the processing ability of the single computer. Ideally, we would like to develop new parallel solutions that can offer improved processing power to compute SimRank on large data set. In this paper, we propose parallel algorithms for SimRank computation on Map-Reduce framework, and more specifically its open source implementation, Hadoop. Two different parallel methods are proposed and their performances are evaluated and compared. Furthermore, we employ the proposed methods to do the similarity computation in order to recommend appropriate products to users in social recommender systems.

Graph pattern matching has been widespread used for protein structure analysis, expert finding and social group selection, ect. Recently, the study of graph pattern matching using the abundant attribute information of vertices and edges as constraint conditions has attracted the attention of scholars, and multi-constrained simulation has been proposed to address the problem in contextual social networks. Actually, multi-constrained graph pattern matching is an NP-complete problem and the fuzziness of constraint variables may exist in many applications. In this paper, we introduce a multi-fuzzy-constrained graph pattern matching problem in big graph data, and propose an efficient first-k algorithm Fuzzy-ETOF-K for solving it. Specifically, exploration-based method based on edge topology is adopted to improve the efficiency of edge connection, and breadth-first bounded search is used for edge matching instead of shortest path query between two nodes to improve the efficiency of edge matching. The results of our experiments conducted on three datasets of real social networks illustrate that our proposed algorithm Fuzzy-ETOF-K significantly outperforms existing approaches in efficiency and the introduction of fuzzy constraints makes our proposed algorithm more efficient and effective. © 2020 - IOS Press and the authors. Consumer online shopping behaviors are well attended in the IS and marketing literature. Yet, there is another group of individuals who spend a lot of time online but do not purchase anything. This online window shopping phenomenon is intriguing to both scholars and marketers yet it is less studied and little understood. Questions such as what the online window shopping consumers do during their visits, how to differentiate their activities and how to design marketing strategies to stimulate them to buy are all essential and beg for investigation. To address this gap, we propose a typology of online window shopping consumers based on the Consumer Information Processing Model, then empirically validate and refine the typology using a set of clickstream data. The final typology contains four main types of online window shopper consumers: 1) promotion finders, 2) social & hedonic experience seekers, 3) information gatherers, and 4) learners & novices. This study extends consumer online behavior research in both e-commerce and social commerce by focusing on the specific group of consumers who only do online window shopping. Besides theoretical contributions, the findings also provide marketers and businesses with valuable references for designing targeted marketing strategies or promotional activities for online window shopping consumers.

Recurring Drift Detection and Model Selection-Based Ensemble Classification for data Streams with Unlabeled data

data stream classification is widely popular in the field of network monitoring, sensor network and electronic commerce, etc. However, in the real-world applications, recurring concept drifting and label missing in data streams seriously aggravate the difficulty on the classification solutions. And this challenge has received little attention from the research community. Motivated by this, we propose a new ensemble classification approach based on the recurring concept drifting detection and model selection for data streams with unlabeled data. First, we build an ensemble model based on the classifiers and clusters. To improve the classification accuracy, we use the ensemble model to predict each data chunk and partition clusters according to the distribution of predicted class labels. Second, we adopt a new concept drifting detection method based on the divergence of concept distributions between adjoining data chunks to distinguish recurring concept drifts. All historical new concepts will be maintained. Meanwhile, we introduce the time-stamp-based weights for base models in the ensemble model. In the selection of the base model, we consider the time-stamp-based weight and the divergence between concept distributions simultaneously. Finally, extensive experiments conducted on four benchmark data sets show that our approach can quickly adapt to data streams with recurring concept drifts, and improve the classification accuracy compared to several state-of-the-art classification algorithms for data streams with concept drifts and unlabeled data. © 2021, Ohmsha, Ltd. and Springer Japan KK, part of Springer Nature.
