Cooperative output regulation of heterogeneous directed multi-agent systems:a fully distributed model-free reinforcement learning framework

In this paper, the cooperative output regulation(COR) problem of a class of unknown heterogeneous multi-agent systems(MASs) with directed graphs is studied via a model-free reinforcement learning(RL) based fully distributed eventtriggered control(ETC) strategy. First, we consider the scenario that the exosystem is accessible globally to all agents, an internal model-based augmented algebraic Riccati equation(AARE) is constructed, and its solution is learned by the proposed model-free RL algorithm via online input-output data. Further, for the scenario that the exosystem is accessible only to its adjacent followers, the distributed observers are designed for each agent to get the state of the exosystem, and an internal modelbased fully distributed adaptive ETC protocol is then synthesized to construct the corresponding AARE, and the feedback gain matrix is learned in a model-free fashion. The model-free RL-based control protocol proposed in this paper can not only remove the prior knowledge of agents' dynamics, but also release the dependence on global information by the adaptive event-triggered mechanism(ETM) and the new graph-based Lyapunov function. Finally, simulation results are illustrated to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

Structural colors resulting from nanostructured metallic surfaces hold a series of advantages compared to conventional chemical pigments and dyes,such as enhanced durability,tunability,scalability,and low consumption,making them particularly promising for preparing color-tunable ***,once these structures are fabricated,they are almost all passive devices with static nanostructures and fixed optical properties,limiting their potential ***,by using a specially designed array of ordered SiO2 nanoholes as a deposition template in conjunction with the traditional reversible metal electrodeposition device(RMED),we propose a tunable reflective surface where the color of the surface can be changed as a function of the thickness of the deposited Ag nanoparticles(AgNPs).Simplified manufacturability and a large range of color tunability are achieved over previous reports by utilizing the SiO2 nanohole template,which allows the direct deposition of AgNPs while forming an array structure of Ag ***,a further thematic analysis of the physical mechanism in the proposed structure is *** results show that the structural colors induced by the longitudinal localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)mode can be dynamically tuned from brown to purple via increasing the deposition ***,in combination with SiO2 nanohole templates of varying parameters,a full gamut of colors spanning the entire visible spectrum is achieved,revealing the feasibility of utilizing the properties of the LSPR mode for satisfying various color *** believe that this LSPRbased multicolor RMED design will contribute to the development of full color information displays and light-modulating devices.

Puncturable ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption scheme for efficient and flexible user revocation

With the rapid deployment of storage services, secure and efficient user authorization and revocation data shared through the cloud have become a grand challenge hindering cloud data *** previous direct and indirect user revocation schemes implemented large-scale user revocation, they faced heavy communication and computational costs. To address these challenges, this study presents a new encryption scheme that combines ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption(CP-ABE) with puncturable encryption to achieve efficient and flexible user revocation. We design a proxy server to reduce the computational overhead in the decryption phase. Because the puncture process is performed on a semi-honest cloud, we use the digital signature method to verify the correctness of its operation. Furthermore, we prove the security of our scheme under the chosen-plaintext attack(CPA), and compare it with other schemes to highlight its advantages. Numerical analysis and experimental simulation results reveal that our scheme is more suitable than other schemes for use in a cloud environment for user revocation.

In moist environments, indoor building materials serve as significant substrates for microbial growth. A novel ternary composite pigment of mica/TiO2/Cu2O has been developed for the coating of a photocatalyst with antibacterial and thermal insulation properties. Spectroscopic analysis and light absorption studies were employed to confirm the stable synthesis of heterojunction structures. Compared to TiO2 and Cu2O, the mica-heterojunction nanosheet demonstrates exceptional antibacterial efficacy, achieving 99.99% bacterial reduction against S. aureus and E. coli within 1 h. Furthermore, real-world irradiation experiments showcase the superior cooling capabilities of the coating. Photoluminescence spectroscopy indicates that the inclusion of mica effectively suppresses electron-hole pair recombination in the heterojunction, resulting in robust photocatalytic disinfection. This study presents a structured methodology for developing a promising antibacterial thermal insulation coating. © 2025 The Korean Society of Industrial and engineering Chemistry

A Comparative Study on the Post-Buckling Behavior of Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes(RTPs)Under External Pressure Considering Progressive Failure

Airborne microorganisms(AM)have significant environmental and health *** studies have been conducted to investigate the factors influencing the composition and diversity of ***,the knowledge of AM with anthropogenic activities has not reach a *** this study,we took advantage of the dramatic decline of outdoor anthropogenic activities resulting from COVID-19 lockdown to reveal their *** collected airborne particulate matter before and during the lockdown period in two *** results showed that it was fungal diversity and communities but not bacteria obviously different between pre-lockdownand lockdown samples,suggesting that airborne fungiwere more susceptible to anthropogenic activities than ***,after the implementation of lockdown,the co-occurrence networks of both bacterial and fungal community became more complex,whichmight be due to the variation of microbial ***,Mantel test and correlation analysis showed that air pollutants also partly contributed to microbial *** fungal community was more affected by air pollutants than bacterial ***,some human pathogens like Nigrospora and Arthrinium were negatively correlated with air ***,our study highlighted the more impacts of anthropogenic activities on airborne fungal community than bacterial community and advanced the understanding of associations between anthropogenic activities and AM.

Organic matter determines the exchange of nutrients at sediment-water interface in coastal bays

The exchange of inorganic nutrients at the coastal sediment-water interface(SWI)plays a crucial role in regulating the nutrient budget in overlying *** related studies mainly focus on the mid-to high-latitude regions,leaving a significant gap in the quantitative assessment of nutrient exchange and environmental controls at the SWI in lowlatitude coastal *** quantitatively assess the exchange of inorganic nutrients at the SWI in three tropical bays(Dongzhai Harbor,Xiaohai Lagoon,Qinglan Harbor).Sediments act as a source of ammonium,phosphate,and silicate,but for nitrate,sediments can be both a source and sink,although with substantial spatial and temporal variations in their *** organic matter is a critical regulator for the fluxes of inorganic nutrients at the *** sedimentary nutrients input with high N/P molar ratio will alter the nutrient stoichiometry to mitigate the nitrogen limitation in coastal ***,the internal sediment release in these tropical bays plays a relative weak role in contributing to the nutrient addition in comparison with the other external nutrient sources including riverine input,submarine groundwater discharge,and atmospheric *** to the global compilation on SWI nutrient fluxes,we propose that water column primary production and external inputs to interpret the variation in exchange and fluxes of nutrients at the SWI in different *** a conceptual understanding of these chain biogeochemical processes involving external nutrient input,primary production,particulate organic matter settling,and the accumulation and release of inorganic nutrients in sediments will be helpful for the scientific-based pollution prevent and control in coastal waters.

One-pot synthesis of N-doped petroleum coke-based microporous carbon for high-performance CO_(2) adsorption and supercapacitors

Waste resource utilization of petroleum coke is crucial for achieving global carbon emission ***,a series of N-doped microporous carbons were fabricated from petroleum coke using a one-pot synthesis *** as-prepared samples had a large specific surface area(up to 2512 m^(2)/g),a moderate-high N content(up to 4.82 at.%),and high population(55%)of ultra-micropores(<0.7 nm).Regulating the N content and ultra-microporosity led to efficient CO_(2)adsorption and *** ambient pressure,the optimal N-doped petroleum coke-based microporous carbon exhibited the highest CO_(2)uptake of 4.25 mmol/g at 25℃ and 6.57 mmol/g at 0℃.These values are comparable or even better than those of numerous previously reported adsorbents prepared by multistep synthesis,primarily due to the existence of *** sample exhibited excellent CO_(2)/N_(2)selectivity at 25℃ owing to the abundant basic pyridinic and pyrrolic N species;and showed superior CO_(2)adsorption-desorption cycling performance,which was maintained at 97% after 10 cycles at 25℃.Moreover,petroleum coke-based microporous carbon,with a considerably high specific surface area and hierarchical pore structure,exhibited excellent electrochemical performance over the N-doped sample,maintaining a favorable specific capacitance of 233.25F/g at 0.5 A/g in 6 mol/L KOH aqueous *** study provides insight into the influence of N-doping on the porous properties of petroleum coke-based ***,the as-prepared carbons were found to be promising adsorbents for CO_(2)adsorption,CO_(2)/N_(2)separation and electrochemical application.

Transient Synchronous Stability Analysis and Assessment of PLL-Based VSC Systems by Bifurcation Theory

For the transient synchronous stability of phase-locked loop based voltage source converter grid-tied systems, the generalized swing equation (GSE) is believed as very important. In this paper, the GSE is studied deeply by bifurcation theory. For instance, the co-dimension-2 Bogdanov-Takens (BT) bifurcation is rigorously analyzed, and the formulations for three co-dimension-1 bifurcations near the BT bifurcation point including the generalized saddle-node, Hopf, and homoclinic bifurcations are explicitly obtained. Moreover, all Hopf bifurcations in the GSE have been theoretically proven to be subcritical by the normal form method. Therefore, after the Hopf and homoclinic bifurcations, two different types of basin of attraction occur widely including a closed loop surrounded by an unstable limit cycle and a fish- like pattern surrounded by the stable manifold of unstable equilibrium point (UEP), respectively. In addition, for the transient synchronous stability assessment after the homoclinic bifurcation, based on the linear approximation of the stable manifold of the UEP, an index for the distance between the stable equilibrium point and the approximated stability boundary is formulated. All these theoretical results are well verified and supported by numerical calculations and real-time simulations, making all previous phenomenal observations of the GSE stand on the solid foundation of rigorous mathematics. © 1986-2012 IEEE.
