An Integrated Anti-Fouling and Anti-Corrosion Coating Enabled by rGO/AgNPs and Amphiphilic Networks

marine corrosion and biofouling are challenges that affect marine industrial equipment,and protecting equipment with functional coatings is a simple and effective ***,it is extremely difficult to combine anti-corrosion and anti-fouling properties in a single *** this work,we combine reduced graphene oxide(rGO)/silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)with a hydrophilic polymer in a bio-based silicone-epoxy resin to create a coating with both anti-fouling and anti-corrosion *** excel-lent anti-fouling performance of the coating results from a ternary synergistic mechanism involving foul-ing release,contact inhibition,and a hydration effect,while the outstanding anti-corrosion performance is provided by a ternary synergistic anti-corrosion mechanism that includes a dense interpenetrating net-work(IPN)structure,a barrier effect,and *** results show that the obtained coating pos-sesses superior anti-fouling activity against protein,bacteria,algae,and other marine organisms,as well as excellent anti-corrosion and certain self-healing properties due to its dynamic cross-linked net-work of rGO/AgNPs and the hydrophilic *** work provides an anti-corrosion and anti-fouling integrated coating for marine industrial equipment.

This paper discusses the uncooperative target tracking control problem for the unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)under the performance constraint and scaled relative velocity constraint,in which the states of the uncooperative target can only be estimated through a vision *** the limited detection range,a prescribed performance function is designed to ensure the transient and steady-state performances of the tracking ***,the scaled relative velocity constraint in the dynamic phase is taken into account,and a time-varying nonlinear transformation is used to solve the constraint problem,which not only overcomes the feasibility condition but also fails to violate the constraint ***,the practically prescribed-time stability technique is incorporated into the controller design procedure to guarantee that all signals within the closed-loop system are *** is proved that the UAV can follow the uncooperative target at the desired relative position within a prescribed time,thereby improving the applicability of the vision-based tracking *** results have been presented to prove the validity of the proposed control strategy.

Direct utilization of co-existed ferrous oxide(FeO)dust in CO_(2)flue gas from the steel industry to product value-added materials is yet to be *** by the form of CaO-CaCO_(3)as natural carbon cycle and the high oxide dissolution capacity of molten salts,CaO is herein introduced into the affordable molten NaCl-CaCl_(2)-FeO salt to generate CO_(3)^(2-)through an efficient capture of CO_(2).The subsequent coelectrolysis of FeO and CO_(3)^(2-)successfully produces cathodic Fe-encapsulated carbon nanotubes(Fe@CNT)with enhanced energy efficiency(current efficiency of 83.1%for CO_(2)reduction and energy consumption of 22.49 kWh kg^(1)for Fe@CNT generation).The in-situ capture of CO_(2)by O^(2)generated from the electro-deoxidation of FeO bridges the electrolysis of CO_(2)and FeO,rendering the enhanced current efficiency of the co-electrolysis and template-free generation of Fe@*** evaluated as functional materials for electromagnetic wave absorption,the Fe@CNT integrates dielectric loss of CNT and electromagnetic loss from *** Fe well-defined in CNT induces the synergistic loss and further improves the impedance matching,resulting in excellent electromagnetic wave absorption *** coelectrolysis establishes a promising strategy for converting CO_(2)into highly functional materials directly from CO_(2)-containing flue gas from steel industrial without dust removal.

Characteristics,origins,and significance of pyrites in deep-water shales

As important metal sulfides in the geochemical cycle of sulfur,the characteristics and formation processes of pyrites can provide useful clues regarding their *** on previous findings,shale pyrites were divided into three major classes(euhedral pyrites,framboidal pyrites(framboids)and metasomatic pyrites)and six sub-classes in this *** the microscopic scale,each type of pyrite is associated with a different formation *** are formed by burst nucleation in environments with a homogeneous distribution of nutrients while euhedral pyrites are usually formed on pre-existing sites(such as=FeS on the minerals surface)in the heterogeneous *** pyrites formed by the replacement of other ions in accountable material by iron ions and hydrogen sulfide ions in hydrothermal *** morphology and isotope value of pyrite provide information to track the origins of their nutrient and characteristics of sulfur and iron *** addition,the trace element content of pyrite can serve as a proxy for paleo-ocean trace element abundance,indicating changes in atmospheric oxygen ***,pyrite can also serves as an indicator of shale gas reservoirs.

Influence of surface acidity and chemical valence on low temperature activity over Pt-HSiW/CeO_(2) for catalytic combustion of chlorobenzene

Pt-HSiW/CeO_(2) catalysts were prepared for chlorobenzene(CB) catalytic combustion by hydrothermal method at different calcination temperatures,and the effects of the surface acidity and chemical valence on the catalytic activity were *** results show that the catalyst calcined at 450℃(Cat-B)exhibits the outstanding catalytic performance,and the Cat-B catalyst possesses 90% conversion of CB at148℃.The excellent catalytic activity of Cat-B is attributed to more Ce^(3+)/(Ce^(3+)+Ce^(4+)),Pt~0/(Pt^(0)+Pt^(2+)),O_(ads)/(O_(latt)+O_(ads)) and Lewis acid *** degradation mechanism is proposed based on the analysis of the intermediates with the following reaction pathway:chlorobenzene→phenates/benzoquinone→acetate→maleate→CO_(2)+H_(2)O.

Indigoids,a class of bis-indoles,have long been applied in dyeing,food,and pharmaceutical ***,interest in these‘old’molecules has been renewed in the field of organic semiconductors as functional building blocks for organic electronics due to their excellent chemical and physical ***,these indigo derivatives are difficult to access through chemical *** this study,we engineer cytochrome P450 BM3 from an NADPH-dependent monooxygenase to peroxygenases through directed evolution.A select number of P450 BM3 variants are used for the selective oxidation of indole derivatives to form different indigoid pigments with a spectrum of *** the prepared indigoid organic photocatalysts,a majority of indigoids demonstrate a reduced band gap than indigo due to the increased light capture and improved charge separation,making them promising candidates for the development of new organic electronic ***,we present a useful enzymatic approach with broad substrate scope and cost-effectiveness by using low-cost H2O2 as a cofactor for the preparation of diversified indigoids,offering versatility in designing and manufacturing new dyestuff and electronic/sensor components.

Frictional sliding of infilled planar granite fracture under oscillating normal stress

This paper investigates the frictional behavior of the infilled rock fracture under dynamic normal stress.A series of direct shear tests were conducted on saw-cut granite fractures infilled with quartz using a selfdeveloped dynamic shear apparatus,and the effects of normal load oscillation amplitude,normal load oscillation period and sliding velocity were *** test results reveal that the shear response can be divided into three stages over a whole loading-unloading process,characterized by different time spans and stress ***,a smaller oscillation amplitude,a longer oscillation period and a fast shear velocity promote the stability of the friction system,which is also confirmed by the Coulomb failure criterion calculated based on the observed periodic apparent friction *** dynamic strengthening/weakening phenomenon is dependent on the oscillation amplitude and product of sliding velocity and oscillation period(vT).Also,the rate and state friction law incorporating the parameter a that characterizes the normal stress variation is employed to describe the dynamic friction coefficient but exhibits an incompetent performance when handling intensive variation in normal ***,the potential seismicity induced by oscillating normal stress based on the observed stress drop is *** work helps us understand the sliding process and stability evolution of natural faults,and its benefits for relative hazard mitigation.

Bulk modulus is an important mechanical property in the optimal design and selection of intermetallic *** this study,bulk modulus datasets of intermetallic compounds were collected,and the features affecting the bulk modulus of intermetallics were screened via feature *** features B_(cal),dB_(avg),and TIE(corresponding to calculated bulk modulus,mean bulk modulus,and third ionization energy,respectively)were found to be the dominant factors influencing bulk modulus and can be extended to other multi-component ***,we predicted the bulk modulus with an accuracy of 95%using surrogate machine learning models with the selected features,and these features were also demonstrated to be effective for high-entropy ***,symbolic regression provided an expression for the relationship between bulk modulus and the screened *** machine learning models provide a new approach for optimizing and predicting the bulk moduli of intermetallic compounds.
